I read a news artical from MTV.com and I discovered that Shaun Morgan, lead singer of Seether, has faced a cruel turn in his life. For several months Shaun dated lead singer of Evanscence, Amy Lee. She ended this relationship because of Shauns alcohol abuse. After they broke up Shaun decided to enter rehab for misuse of alcohol. He canceled the Seether tour. When he was in rehab, Amy Lee wrote a song called "Call Me When Your Sober". Everyone knew it was about Shaun. She claims she didnt direct it to Shaun. Shaun was hurt by how she would write a song that calls him a jerk. Shaun said "I dont know why she would drag on the pain of the break up ferther than it needs to be. I could wrie a nasty song about her but i wouldn't. People would asume I would seek revenge for what she has done. Making seem like a total a--hole. I am not that kind of guy". After rehab Seether had a new song called "Breakdown". People thought that he wrote that song in remark for Amy Lees new hit. Shaun explained, " It isnt directed to Amy Lee in any way. I know it is a coincidence that this song talks about relatioships seriously but it is ment to be universal. What happened between Amy Lee and I is in the past and I am looking toward the future". After the news was out about how Amy Lee basically betrayed Shaun Morgan, fans of Evanscence started to vanish. My opinion on the whole situation is that Amy Lee had no right to direct this song to Shaun because that is a private, personal situation. Not everything is public. Shaun, I am sorry she has dont this to you. I am proud that you didnt seek revenge on Amy Lee. I know it was hard for you to hold back your feelings. I know this was about 10 years ago but i just feel like i need to share my opinion definitally.
