Sonic: Well this is where you're gonna get it...I hope. Just keep looking out there, pal. (Sonic talks to Amy again on the walkie-talkie) Sonic to Amy, Sonic to Amy, come in, Amy! (Amy is fighting the chocolate eating scallops.)
Amy: Amy to Sonic, I got my ox in a ditch here! I'm way off course! The scallops are eating the balloon! They're everywhere! (one scallop bites the balloon and the air goes out and it floats down) Aw, shoot! We're going down, Sonic! Switch to plan B!
Sonic: No, no, B, Amy! No, B! (Knuckles is smiling big waiting for his surprise) Uh, Knuckles, you know how sometimes you plan something special and things don't just work out?
Knuckles: No...no...eh-gee! Holy mackerel! Is it hot up here or what! (rips off his shirt and moves the ferries wheel seats back and forth and then up and down. Next, the ferries wheel is jumping up and down and then Sonic puts out his hand/arm)
Sonic: Knuckles, here it is! (Knuckles stares at Sonic’s hand/arm)

Knuckles: A handshake? That's the big gift? You got me a handshake?
Sonic: A friendly handshake. Happy Valentine's Day! (Knuckles shakes his hand and stares it and makes a grumpy looking face. Sonic laughs and throughout their playtime in the carnival, Knuckles has the same grumpy look on his face)
Knuckles: I've been thinking. At first a handshake doesn't looks like much, but really it's the thought that counts… (lady walks up with a box shaped like a heart full of chocolates in her arms)
Blaze: Hey Sonic, I just wanted to thank you for this box of chocolates.

Knuckles: And even though I was expecting more... (Silver with roses walks up)
Silver: Thanks for the roses, Sonic. Happy Valentine's Day.

Knuckles: And not that it matters that we've been friends for so long... (Tails walks by with a bike)
Tails: Hey Sonic, thanks for the bike! (talking to Patrick) Can you believe this guy? I just hug him this morning! (Knuckles gets mad)

Jet: Excuse me; do you guys have the time?
Knuckles: (He gets mad) 3:15!! AND KNUCKLES NEED LOVE, TOO! (Knuckles goes psycho freaky. Cuts the balloon strings from a salesman and destroys his Balloon cart. We see kids playing a guy in a heart suit.)
Kids: We love heart man...
Knuckles: I DEFY YOU, HEART MAN! (he rips the suit in half)
P.A. System: Attention everyone, there's a red echidna on the loose! (everyone runs screaming. Knuckles sees a twirl-around ride that has hearts on it and goes mad over it)
Knuckles: HEART ON STICK MUST DIE! (goes to the pole and tries to pick it up. Gives up eventually. Knuckles sees Cream eating a heart-shaped lollipop) Heart on stick must die! (grabs it, breaks it, and stuffs it in his mouth)
Sonic: (gasps) Knuckles! (Knuckles turns around with an evil look on his face and everyone gets scared and runs to a dead-end of one of the carnival sides. Then Knuckles goes freaky on them)
Knuckles: Give me Sonic! (Sonic is thrown in front of the group of citizens) You broke my heart! Now I'm gonna break something of yours!
Sonic: Okay, Knuckles, I know I deserve this. (notes the crowd) But, do they?
Knuckles: They didn't get me anything either! (They throw a pile of gifts at his feet) Nope, it's too late for that now...for all of you! (walks onto and over the gifts, wanting to destroy everyone, starting with Sonic. the citizens take a step back and Sonic is scared)
Amy: Yeah! Get along little shellfish! Gallop you scallops! (whipping the scallops as she lands in the carnival with the balloon)
Sonic: Yeah! Amy's here! Woo-hoo! Look Knuckles, it's here! It's here! The best valentine in the whole wide world is right behind you! (jumping up and down pointing behind Knuckles)
Knuckles: Sure it is.
Sonic: I'm telling you, it's right there, turn around!
Knuckles: Uh-uh.
Sonic: Knuckles, just turn around! (everyone is yelling at Knuckles to turn around but he doesn’t)
Knuckles: You must think I'm pretty dumb, huh?
Crowd: Yes! Turn around!
Knuckles: No.
Crowd: Turn around, Turn around!
Knuckles: Nuh-uh. I'm gonna say this once and I'm not going to say it again, so pay attention. I am not, I repeat, not going to turn around for any reason...ever!
Amy: Hey, Knuckles!
Knuckles: (turns around) Hi Amy! (notices the chocolate balloon then is confused and Speaks gibberish)
Sonic: Happy Valentine's Day, Knuckles! (Knuckles jumps for joy and jumps on the balloon)
Knuckles: Yay! My valentine!
Amy: (as she run in joy and hug Sonic) Sonic!
Sonic: Awwww. Amy.....
Knuckles: Hey, is this solid chocolate?
Sonic and Amy: Knuckles, no! (Knuckles bites the balloon and chocolate spills everywhere. They're in The mess)
Amy: Aw Sonic, you didn't have to get him anything.
