I know that usually teens injure themselves. I also know that one of the many reasons for self-injury is insecurity. Teens often compare themselves to others. However to every teen reading this I want to tell you that you don't have to. Whether you have so much anger built up and it's your only way out or you're so hurt and you think no one will listen, there are other ways then hurting yourself. Your a special creation that God himself made. You can be free of all the burdens, your worries, and your fears in Jesus Christ. He can carry that heavy weight that's been on your shoulders for so long.
Let me tell you a story. In the beginning God made humans, and they had a relationship. They walked and talked together. Unfortunately, the first humans made a mistake and did things against God. Those wrongings against God is called sin. Sin seperated God and humans. God got tired of not talking with humans, so he sent his one and only son. His main purpose on Earth was to die for our sins. After living 33 years on Earth, his friend betrayed him and turned him in to be brutally murdered. He was beat very close to death. Then he was forced to carry a cross (looks like a lowercase t and is wood) up a hill. Next he was nailed to the cross. There he was left there to die. He was put in a tomb which was guarded by soldiers. One the third day, Jesus overcame death. Death could not stop his goal. He ascended back into heaven. His body and everything. He is now the bridge, the one and only bridge into heaven. You have to believe with every bone in your body that Jesus Christ did come and die one the cross to save both you and me.
If you want that freedom from all the worry and you believe Jesus Christ died to save you all you have to do is pray this prayer:
Father God, I come to You right now, in the name of your most Holy Son, Jesus Christ, asking You to accept me as a Christian.
You say in Your word that if I confess my sins and ask forgiveness, You are faithful and will forgive my sins and remember them no more. You will not hold them against me and I can go to Heaven.
Father, I confess that I have sinned against You. I have not followed Your commandments and I have broken Your laws. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness.
Father, I believe that Jesus Christ, Your only Son, came to Earth and was born, that He lived among us, and that He was crucified to pay for our sins and for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead and gave Him power over all creation.
Lord, right now I accept Your Son Jesus as my Savior and as the Lord of my life. Send the Holy Spirit to guide me, protect me, lead me and counsel me. Send Your angels to gather around me and protect me. Protect me from Satan and his evil forces. Help me grow in wisdom, knowledge and love for You and Your ways. Give me the strength and courage to change my ways and resist the Devil and avoid sin in the future.
Lord, I thank You for sending Your only Son to die so that I can live.
Jesus, I thank You in that You died for me while I was still a sinner and had not yet accepted You. I thank You for forgiving my sins and for bringing me to a saving knowledge of You. Please bless me and protect me. Teach me to pray. Guide me. Increase my faith, and make me sure in the knowledge that I can rely on You, no matter what may come. Lead me to a good church where I can learn Your word and the Father's will, where I can fellowship with Christians and grow in my knowledge of You.
I ask these things in Your most holy and precious name, and I thank You for making me a Christian.
Amen!
I wanted to let you know a couple things. One once you have prayed this prayer, you can't do the same wrong things as before. Two, it takes a while and work to stop injurying yourself. I know personally that it takes God to help. I still have trouble with temptation but I ask God to give me the strength to avoid it. I pray that he takes the thoughts away and he does. You are beautifully and wonderfully made. God bless. I am here for you.
