Courtney gazed at the ground, unable to look Duncan in the eyes. Her hands were holding his and to her disgust, her palms were sweating. As cowardly a she was, she couldn't bear telling him the truth. I love you is easier then saying I'm pregnant, Courtney decided, forcing herself to be calm. At long last, she took a deep breath and looked up. She waited, trying to be patient but failed horribly. "Umm... Aren't you going to say you love me back?" Courtney asked, smiling. Duncan smirked with amusement, standing with his arms crossed by Lake Ontario. Courtney blinked, not necessarily going for amused. "I'm still waiting," she said in a song songy voice, forcing her smile to stay. Duncan stop smiling and looked at the lake, running his fingers though his black and green hair. "I think we should see other people," he declared. Courtney tilted her head then started to laugh hysterically. "Oh Duncan," she giggled. "Thats hilarious!" Her grin soon faded and her laughter died away when she saw his expression. "And why would that be?" Courtney asked, tension filling the air. Duncan rubbed his neck awkwardly. "Theres someone else," he murmured. Courtney stepped back, her eyes side. Her grief filled eyes slowly turned to flames. "How could you!" she screeched, the air crackling with mad fury. Duncan stumbled back a bit. "I'm sorry!" he protested. "Sorry? SORRY? You *astard! Cheater! I hate you! I HATE YOU!!!" she screamed turning and fleeing, tears streaming down her face. Duncan blinked and smiled. "Well that was easier than I expected," he said aloud and took out his phone, typing quickly. It's official :) the text that was sent to Gwen read. Courtney is out of our lives forever.
