I was digesting some thoughts on the road tonight, as I normally do, and came up with some ideas about the evolution of my own tolerance. I used to be very passionate and expressive when I began my journey online, into the wilderness we call fandom.

I used to have arguments, and find some people very abrasive. But I came to a point in reflection, as my birthday slowly races up on me, that it is time to grow. Time where one can see certain issues, or over zealous people as a mere gnat in the face, to be shooed.

I cannot blatantly say that I won't lose my cool. On the most blatant ways to get me to respond. Mostly consisting of certain individuals hating on innocence for no reason, or my friends. It is just in my nature to charge to the rescue.

I cannot say I won't let things get to me, but it is those times we must find other ways to deal with daily struggles. I have finally come to the point in my life where I can see all sides of the issue. Understand that everyone is different, and loves differently. That indeed not everything is as black and white as I once thought.

So what can I gain from these pearls of thought? Just to honor each other, even if our course is different, if our ships go opposite ways... because that is life. It may not be all it is cracked up to be, but at least it is ours to hold.

So next time someone tries to get under your skin, just think of this tolerance, I never thought I would come to the day...but then again I lived with a demon for 12 years...it makes you pretty tolerant of most things.
