I sat perched above the museum. I saw Dr. Light run in. I smirked. Some people were just so stupid. I flew down and to the entrance. I tapped my foot. He turned around. I pulled my black hood down and smirked, revealing my teeth. They were sharp like a vampire.
“Vampire’s are useless in the light of the sun” he said, throwing a bright bomb at me. I shot two dark rays. One hit the bomb, the other hit Dr. Light. He was sent flying back and hit the wall.
“I’m no vamp. I’m worse” I picked him up and punched him in the stomach. I ripped his belt off and threw it on the ground. I grabbed a net from my belt and tied him up. I dragged him out and tied him to a lamp post. I heard a cat’s meow. I turned to find a green cat staring up at me. I smiled and leaned down to pet it. It started to purr. I got up and started to walk away.
“Wait! That felt nice” complained a voice from behind me. I ran from it, pulling up my hood. I heard a sound like an elastic band snapping back, then a whoosh. The second before it hit me, I grabbed an arrow out of mid air. I heard a crackle, and I was suddenly stuck knee deep in cement. A flash of red and yellow zoomed passed, then stopped in front of me. It was a young boy with fiery red hair. A girl with pale skin and pink hair that matched her eyes walked up to him. Suddenly, I was surrounded by young heroes. I looked up and sighed. More people hovering over head. A boy who I assumed was the leader stepped forward. He leaned down.
“Who are you?” he asked. I thought about that for a minute. I pointed to the night sky, hoping he would understand.
“Moon?” he tilted his head. I shook mine.
“Star?” he suggested. I gestured to the whole sky.
“Sky?” he asked. I shook my head again.
“Night” said a girl with a blue cape on. I nodded.
“Night. Why did you capture Dr. Light?” he asked. I sighed.
“I guess I’ll talk because you suck at body language” I said, my British accent pronounced clearly. “I stopped him because he is a villain trying to steal stuff. What more reason do I need?” I sighed
“How’d you grab that arrow out of mid air?” asked an archer in red and yellow.
“Very carefully” I smirked. I punched the cement, breaking free. I turned and saw the sun rising. “I must go” I started to walk away, but the boy who asked me all the questions grabbed my shoulder.
“Please, stay. We have much to offer you” he insisted
“I really need to leave” I insisted, trying to pull free. The sun was rising rapidly. He must’ve seen the anxiety on my face, because he let me go. I ran off into the shadows and sighed. I just had to make it to my entrance.*Ahem* someone behind me cleared their throat. It was the girl who guessed my name.
“I need to get…home” I said
“I understand. But first, I wish to know why you’re in such a hurry” she said
“My power’s are extremely weak in daylight” I said, staying as much in the shadows as I could.
“I can help you. I could teach you to keep your powers at the max all day long” she offered.
“Okay. As long as it’s only us. I really don’t go well with people” I agreed
“Deal. But first, we need to get to the tower” she said
“The what now?” I asked
“Titans Tower. But most of the people you just saw call it home” she took my hand and dragged me into the daylight.
“If you want me to fly, I need darkness” I said. She put a dark shield over me. I flew up beside her and together, we flew to Titans Tower.
“So, what’s your name anyways?” I asked
“My name is Raven” she said. We flew down to the huge door. The place was packed. I glanced nervously at her. She smiled. I stood in the shadows as she flew off, looking for the leader guy. They flew over to me and he shook my hand.
“I’m Robin. Welcome to the Teen Titans” he gave me a small communicator with a T on it. He opened his.
“Kid Flash, tell everyone to look up here. Fast” he said. Seconds later, every single person in the room was looking up at us.
