Raven peered out at the falling snow. She pulled her white cloak around her and dropped her hood. Ever since she had helped stop the end of the world, Raven had been on edge. But she'd also been feeling protected. Her friends would never leave her. They loved her too much. Robin would never forget her; he had saved her life. She'd been in his mind and he'd been in her's. They had a bond. An almost unhindered love. But Raven was too scared to admit the truth. The last two she'd allowed in had hurt her. Malichor had deceived her and Beast Boy had found Terra. What made Robin any different?
“He knows you,” Raven answered herself. “He sees the best in you. He overlooks ever flaw and tells you what you want to here; what you need to hear. He is different.”
Raven smiled and couldn't help but move some of the snow into a heart. She giggled, a very girly giggle that hadn't been heard.
“I guess I found the one.”
Raven held her breath. She wasn't very happy with the hiccups she had gotten and they weren't doing anything but being annoying. She released her breath, groaning as she hiccuped again.
“Need some help?” a friendly voice asked.
“Robin. No. I'm just trying to get rid of my hiccups.”
“I have a good way of getting rid of those.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah. Want me to show you?”
Raven looked to where he sat on the couch. No one else was at the Tower; Raven and Robin were the only two had done Christmas shopping early. She shrugged and sat next to him.
“Sure.”
“Okay. So here's how you start. Put your hands around my neck. Just like that. Now I put a hand at the back of your neck and the other at the small of your back.”
“How is this going to get rid of my hiccups?” Raven asked.
“Trust me. Now. Close your eyes.”
Raven slid her eyes closed but opened them when Robin's lips attached to hers. At first, Raven tried to think things through. But the feel of those lips erased all power of thinking and Raven gave in to the sensation of pleasure running through her body. She kissed back, trying to gain as much as she gave. She never wanted to move from her position of kissing Robin. But she needed air. Finally, Raven pushed Robin just far enough for her to catch her breath. Robin was also panting.
“You...could've...killed me.”
“Raven...your hiccups...are...gone.”
Raven blushed. Robin was right. But she was still addicted to the taste of those lips. Instead of responding, Raven stole her own surprise kiss. At first, she felt nothing. But then he started to meld his lips with hers and it was complete bliss. Raven was happy. Her heart was full and she felt more than joy at discovering something that belonged to her. Robin was her's to love. She tangled her hands in his messy black hair and relished in the feeling of having him hold her. Eventually, the two love birds pulled away and Raven looked a little sheepish.
“I'm sorry,” she apologized.
“Don't be. I enjoyed it. And I hope you did too.”
Raven nodded her head.
“Yes.”
Robin smiled, holding Raven close to him.
“Merry Christmas, Raven.”
“Merry Christmas, Robin.”
