Since October 12 we've been booming with fans! (no booming isn't a word if you're wondering)
I really appreciate having new people with new ideas around. It's awesome! But I'd like to stop the party for a little while and talk to you guys about the rules we've set up here, just so you dont accidentaly step on someone's toes, or that you know to get off 'em.
1. Fan fiction is the first thing I want to talk about. Fan fiction is great, its amazing! But Amphitrite, who is a member here (everyone has probably read an article of hers, or her fanfiction), set up rules for fanfiction, and just because the Lost Hero is out does NOT mean that they're thrown off the dragon. Just wanted to remind our old members, and give a heads up to our new ones. To read the rules click here

2. So this I noticed especially in my forum "The Son of Neptune". Instantly some of you know where this is going, and that's probably because you noticed it too. Spamming.
Look, all the old members hate spam here, we have a goddess of anti-spam too (who is currently on hold because the book hasn't come up on her area and we don't want her to get exposed to spoilers). So if you spam, you will not make friends. So what is spam?

One time you'll be okay, we get it, people who are new to theese kinds of sites may spam. I know I did once. But if you spam regularly and keep spamming... You wont make friends.
How to avoid spam?
1 Don't answer to spammers, pretend it isn't there
2 Report the user responsible
3 If you have more to say, click the grey pencil under your comment. It's my friend the edit button.
4 Don't spam yourself
Don't get mad and start what I like to call a Comment Fight (CF) if someone tells you to stop spamming. And we will, just check this out, it happened on the spot this summer I believe, and it is what I call a CF.

^I love the irony of "I know all greek myths and then spell the magic goddess' name wrong" Perhaps hectate was just a typo but the lack of capitalisation... Oh, it doesn't matter. Be warned.
Now I'm going to sneak a little bit about my forum in this section. I can't speak for everybody, but I love getting comments about my work. They make me feel like I'm doing something that makes somebody happy, or entertains them and that there's something people think I'm actually good at.
But when I get 2 pages of pure comments (not kidding) most of it not even revelant to my work, sometimes about a fanfic somewhere other then fanpop, or about where thye want the story to turn, or people begging for me to work faster; not so great.
It's spam, and a few of the members who know how I work came in and said to stop, but that didn't seem to help. I'm asking you that on forum and everywhere else, try not to spam. I know I don't like it and I can name you 5 other members off the bat who wont either. Just a heads up.
3 Spot rules. When this spot was created, I'm not exactly sure when but before last summer,Roheha, who is the founder, posted a few rules. I recomend you to check them out because even if she isn't here, they are still active and I will do my best to re-inforce them until the 2 elder members (that's my nickname for Amph and Roheha by the way) get back from the silence on Olympus, and I invite you to do the same.

That is all, thank you.
