Percy, Grover, bus drivers and passengers, fates, Gabe, Sally, poker buddies, Chiron, Annabeth
Percy and Grover are on a bus
Percy –Common, school ended, you can stop the joke now!
Grover –I am being perfectly honest with you! There – has – never – been – a –Ms – Dodds –at – Yancy!
Percy –Grover, you suck at lying and it isn’t funny. Bus stops
Grover –We’re here. He and Percy get off the bus, they see the fates. They are sitting on a bench, knitting enormous electric blue socks.
Grover –Oh Styx, common Percy let’s get out of here.
Percy –No I forgot my sweater on the bus!
Grover –Forget the stupid sweater! Percy goes in the bus he grabs his sweater and looks at the fates. One takes out scissors and cuts the string. Percy comes out, Grover is scared.
Percy –See, it didn’t kill you to wait! Grover what’s wrong? You look horrible!
Grover –Umm, err, I’m fine. I have to go to the bathroom, swear you’ll wait for me to go home, right?
Percy – We’re not even going in the same direction.
Grover – Wait for me! I want to make sure you get home safely.
Percy –Safely? What do you mean, I’m fine.
Grover –JUST SWEAR! I mean err… wait, please?
Percy – Sure. Grover goes away and Percy takes off. He takes a cab to his apartment. In the cab he hears a grunting noise. He turns around, nothing.
Camera shot: from inside a house, Gabe and his friends are playing poker Percy opens the door and walks in with luggage
Percy –Mom? MOM?
Gabe –You could say hi to me.
Percy –Where’s my mom?
Gabe –You didn’t say hi to me. (Percy sighs).
Percy – Hi. Where’s my mom?
Gabe –In her room. You’ve got nay money?
Percy –No.
Gabe –Change from the taxi then?
Percy –No, I’m not your gambling fund. He walks past Gabe who grabs his arm
Percy –Let go of me you freak!
Gabe –That’s no way to talk to your stepfather kid. You live under my roof, you’ve got to pull you weight. Percy takes out cash and throws it at Gabe.
Percy –I hope you loose. He runs away from Gabe and into his mother’s room, she is putting clothing in her suitcase. She turns around.
Sally –Percy! She hugs him
Percy –Hey mom. She lets go of him
Sally –Look what my boss gave me today. She pulls out a bag of blue candy and gives it to him.
Percy - Blue candy! Sally smiles and gives him the bag.
Percy –Thanks. Hey, what’s the suitcase for?
Sally –Remember our old cabin at Montauk beach?
Percy – Of course I do, it’s the best place in the world!
Sally –We’ll be going this weekend.
Percy – Really! When do we leave?
Sally –As soon as we’re done packing. Percy hugs Sally
Percy –Thanks mom you’re the best!
Camera shot on a car, traveling down a see-side road. Waves are high and it is raining with thunder and lightning
Percy –The weather’s so weird, it was beautiful when we left and right now it looks like a hurricane’s about to happen!
Sally (distracted) –Umm-hum. Something, or someone, jumps onto the car, in the back. Sally stops the car fast.
Sally –What was that?
Percy –I don’t… Oh my god it’s Grover!
Sally pale and scared –Grover Underwood?
Percy –Yes!
Sally –Let him in, fast! Percy opens the door and Grover, satyr half exposed, comes in.
Percy – Dude, what are you doing here, its Oh my god you’re half donkey!
Grover –Blaah-ah-ah! Goat! Goat, not donkey! Anyways I came to find you; you didn’t wait for me like I asked! (Turns to Sally) Why did you bring him here? Didn’t he tell you?
Sally –Percy, what happened at school?
Grover –It doesn’t matter, you’ve got to get Percy to camp; Minos’ son is right after us!
Sally –Oh Styx! She turns the car towards another road and they drive fast
Percy –What’s happening?
Sally –We’ll explain later.
Percy –Later? My best friend is half goat, I need to know!
Grover – Fine! I’m a satyr! There are hundreds of us in the U.S. and we go to schools pretending we’re humans until we find one, then we bring them to camp and go back to school!
Percy – One? What’s “One”?
Sally –A demigod Percy. Satyrs hide in schools to find demigods.
Percy –What’s a demigod?
Grover –A kid that has one mortal parent and one parent that’s a Greek god Percy because yes they exist!
Percy –A demigod? Wait, Grover, does that mean…
Grover –Yes Percy, your dad’s a god.
Percy –Mom?
Sally –It’s true Percy. Your dad is… at that moment the car explodes.
Percy lying on the ground near a steering wheel –Mom, Grover?
Sally –Over here!
Grover –FOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!!!!!
Percy –He’s uncouncient!
Sally –We got hit by lightning! (minotaur walks out from behind a tree, he is about 7 metres away)
Sally –Percy, stay very, very still and make no noise. As slowly as you can, go up that hill and run towards that house over there. Pass the tree and stay there.
Percy –Mom, is that a…
Minotaur –AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!! (Picks up a chunk of car and throws it).
Sally –Run Percy!
Percy –Help me get Grover!
Sally –Its you he wants, we’ll be fine!
Percy –NO! Help me with Grover. They move towards Grover and pick him up. Minotaur starts sniffing around the scene. He throws a chunk of car.
Sally –He knows where we are, RUN! Percy runs. He is half-way there when he turns around, Minotaur picks up Sally by the neck.
Percy –MOM!
Sally –GO! Minotaur squeezes his fist and she explodes into golden dust. Percy yells in rage and runs back towards Grover. He picks up a steering wheel.
Percy –HEY! BEEF HEAD! OVER HERE! Minotaur turns around and tries to run for Percy. Percy jumps on his back and holds on around his horns. Minotaur runs towards a tree and Percy flips over the head, ripping a horn away. Minotaur stumbles back. Percy takes his red jacket off. And waves it in front of one hand, that is holding the horn. Minotaur charges and get the horn in the head. He bellows and explodes into dust, like Ms Dodds. Percy falls to his knees.
Grover (still uncouncient) –FFOOOOOOOODDDDDDD!!!!!!
Percy gets up picks up Grover and stars walking towards the house. He sees the tree, its image flickers into Thalia, and then Percy falls uncouncient, past it.
Hear me out with the Thalia bit, its just so she`ll be easily recognised in the second movie without me having to show Percy`s dreams about her. It`s not that bad of a chance, at least my movie HAS Thalia!
