I fell down on my knees as my sister continued to kick and cuss at me. I had accidentally dropped a plate and my sister was furious. I tried to run away, but she grabbed me by my hoodie and swung me across the floor. At this point, enough was enough. Thank God she swung me near the door. I ran out the door as fast as I could until I was far away from my house. My parents had died when my sister turned 18, so she was my legal guardian. I ended up going to my favorite oak tree with a swing attached to it. As I sat on the swing, the sun shined and I felt the warmth on my face as I closed my eyes. It felt really good.
"Enjoying the sun, huh?" said this voice. I opened my eyes and there stood this handsome, green, and gray-eyed boy with a smile on his face.
"Oh- yeah, I guess," I said a little nervous.
You turned around to get a better look at the boy and his face went from a happy one to a concerned look.
"What happened to your face if you don't mind answering," he said a little mad and sad.
"Umm... my... my sister hit me for breaking a plate," you said rubbing your stomach and starting to cry.
I could tell this boy was very angry. He looked like he wanted to punch something, but he took a deep breath in and calmed down. Once he realized I saw crying, he crouched down and wiped off my tears.
"He everything is gonna be alright," he said calmly stroking my hair. "Don't cry, I don't like it when girls cry"
You wiped the rest of your tears and asked, "What's your name?"
"Ponyboy. Ponyboy Curtis" he said sounding confident as if he really liked saying his name out loud.
"Ponyboy," you whispered to yourself. "I like that name," you said with a smile. "I'm Sarah".
"I like that name," Ponyboy said with a smile.
There was suddenly an awkward silence. Ponyboy and I were just staring at each other, smiling. Then Ponyboy broke the silence and said,
"So, Sarah, are you ok now?" he asked slowly.
"Yeah, I'm fine now," I responded. I then sat back on the swing and the sun was setting. A nice pretty purple, blue, and pink sunset filled the sky. I looked over a Ponyboy whose eyes lit up when he saw the sunset.
"Wow that's sure pretty," he said excitedly. Then turned to me and asked, "have you ever watched a sunset, Sarah?"
I've never watched a sunset, but I have most certainly seen one. The one I've seen was a beautiful pink and blue with the warm sun with was and dark yellow. It was beautiful.
"I've never watched a sunset, but I've seen a few," I said back to Ponyboy whose eyes were glued to the sunset. I figured I'd try watching the sunset too. As I was observing all the wonderful colors of the sunset, Ponyboy mumbled,
"Wow, she really pretty,"
"Yeah, she sure is," I said back to him without looking. Then I turned my head to face him and he was looking at me and chuckled.
"I wasn't talking about the sunset, I was talking about you," he said with a smile on his face and planted a soft kiss on my lips. I started blushing uncontrollably as we both continued watching the sunset.

You look in amazement at your boyfriend Ponyboy. Is he really friends with this geek?
Ponyboy smiles and nods, telling you “I know this kid is a frickin insane genius.”
“Well… That’s interesting.” You say.
You look at Ponyboy. “So how much do we have to leave for a tip?” You were at the diner, hanging out for lunch.
“She was a quality waitress, so 20%. We each owe her 1 dollar.” Ross pipes up. He starts to make hand gestures to explain the process.”Since the bill was 15 dollars, we each paid 5 dollars. 20% of 15 is 3… So it’d be a 3 dollar tip, one dollar each.”
You look at him, stunned.
You could not to do math to save your life.
“You should have him along more often.” You whisper to Ponyboy.
You woke up of he teacher yelling at you. "Y/N wake up right now" she said. You woke up and looked up. Everyone was looking at you , including Ponyboy. "Sorry" you said and opened your book to the page she told you. After ten minutes of listening the bell rang. You closed your book and walked out of the class. You walked to your last class. You loved that class cause most your friends were in it. You only had like four friends but it was still fun. You and your friends always sat by each other in the back. You would always get into trouble. The four of you started to laugh. One if your friends threw something at a kids head. "Ladies in the back stop laughing" the teacher said. You stopped for awhile. You other friend would ask stupid questions to make you guys laugh. You were laughing so hard. "Y/N please go to Mrs. Landers room" the teacher said. "Okay" you said you grabbed your stuff and walked out. You walked into Mrs. landers room to see Ponyboy was in there.
"I can't believe you guys are drunk again!" You yelled as you ran out. You're parents were drunk again, you couldn't stand it when they were, or when anyone was because you were scared bad things might happen when people are drunk. You ran as fast as you could until you reached the DX, Steve was standing outside leaning on a car. "Hey Savannah, what happened?" "My parents were drunk again, I can't stand it when they are, I'm just so scared when that happens." "Hey, don't worry, I'll protect you." Steve hugged you and you found your arms around his neck. You guys embraced each other with the glimmering moon light it the background. "Savannah, I'll show you how to fix up cars." He held your hand and brought you to the back of the DX.
