Lili's pov

Finally, school was over! Friday has finally begun! I couldn't wait to see Ponyboy, my boyfriend of 4 months. He's so perfect and good-looking. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world when I'm around him. I couldn't wait to meet him at our spot. Right beneath the bleachers by the football field. As I walked towards the football field to meet up with Pony, I saw his greased reddish, light browned hair. But, it was cut off by another person with ginger-colored hair. I recognized her to be Cherry Valance. I never liked Cherry. She was always trying to make a pass at Pony, knowing that we've been dating for a while. As I got closer, I realized that they were kissing!! I froze. I didn't know what to do. I dropped my books making a loud enough sound to make them pull away. When they noticed me Cherry smirked and Pony's eyes were full of guilt. I didn't know what to do so I just ran away crying.

Pony's pov

Ugghhh where is Lili? It can't take that long to get some books out of a locker can it? I don't think I can wait another second. As I was about to go meet Lili at her locker. Cherry came by. Uggghh what does she want?

"Hey, Ponyboy!" Cherry said his a huge smile on her face
"Hi," I said back. I really didn't want to speak with Cherry. She just doesn't understand that I'm with Lili. Not her.

"Watcha doing under the bleacher by yourself?" Cherry asked.
"Waiting for Lili," I said. I noticed her smile turned into a frown with an eye roll. This made me want to belt her but I didn't. Instead, I said, "I gotta go." I looked up and saw Lili. Man isn't she the prettiest girl ever. I was about to go run and hug her when Cherry pulled me in to kiss her. I was shocked. I couldn't believe she did that. This made me so angry and nervous. I hope Lili didn't see. I pushed her off me and almost cursed her out when I saw Lili frozen with her books on the floor and tears in her eyes. I felt real guilty even though Cherry was the one who can't keep her hands to herself. Just then, Lili ran.

"Lili wait!" I said running after her.

Lili's pov

I ran until I ran outta breath and sat against a tree crying. That asshole. How could he do that to me. I hated him and I hated Cherry. I just sat there and cried until I heard a branch snap. I lifted my head and saw Pony standing there.

"Go away!!" I yelled at him. I didn't want to even look at him. Instead of leaving he sat down next to me.

"Lili-" he started
"No Pony! How could you do that to me! Are you serious!" I yelled cutting him off.
"I know how it looked but-" he began but I cut him off again.
"No buts! It looked like you were making out with that Soc girl!" I screamed at him.
"LILI!" Pony said yelling. I froze and looked at him. He's never yelled like that.
"She kissed me when I was trying to get away from her! She made a move on me!" he said with guilt in his voice.
"I'm so sorry! I would never do that to you" he said sounding like he was about to start crying.

I felt guilty yelling at him. I should've listened to him speak.

"I- I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gotten so angry at you.
He smiled at me with his beautiful smile and wipe the tears from my eyes.

"You have nothing to be sorry for." he said then kissed me.
"I love you so much Lili!" he said with a smile on his face.

"I love you too Pony!"

We both got up and dusted ourselves off.

"How about we to the drive-in with Johnny and Dal later," Pony said.

"Sure" I said excitedly.



Little did I know that during the drive-in, the Soc girl would be there.
