A small teenager walked home from school one night. Her name was Joe. Josephine was her full name, but she hated it. She just preferred Joe. She had brunette hair with blonde highlights, and sparkling blue eyes.
She was a seventh grader at Walker Middle School. She was a popular girl, who had good grades and a large amount of faithful friends. You could say that she was perfect.
But one thing that isn't perfect about Joe is that she doesn't know when she's being watched.
As she walked happily down the dimly lit sidewalk, Slender Man stalked her silently from the trees. His limbs stretched abnormally to make them look like that of a tree branch. It was the perfect feast. In his mind, he chuckled and tried to taste her on his hungry lips. Lips were all he had on that horrific face of his. It was a disadvantage for him, but he just made do with it. As he slowly and silently edged closer, he decided that it was time to take over her mind.
Come, He called silently, wrapping his thoughts into her brain. Come closer to me. I want you, Josephine.
Joe heard the sound of an eerie voice in her brain. "Did someone just call me Josephine?" She said to herself. Suddenly, she figured it out. She figured it all out. "Aw, Heck no!" She yelled. Looking over to where Slender Man stood, arms stretched out, she demanded him to stop. "Slender Man, you know it's not gonna work! I give you your salary of cheese every week, just like you told me to! You want me to stop?" She yelled. Slender Man groaned with displeasure, skulking away sadly.
She continued on, walking. Pretty please, just one time? He begged, her mind still in his power.
"No! Now, go away!" She demanded, snapping her finger.
Yep. You never would have guessed it, but Joe and Slender Man worked together.
One night, sort of like a night like that, Slender Man had almost caught her in his arms. But then she realized what was happening. She had heard stories about the monster with stretchable limbs, and knew that he loved cheese. Besides children, his favorite food in the universe was cheese.
With this knowledge, Joe made a deal that she would give Slender Man a block of cheese every week in turn of him not kidnapping her. It had kept him away for years.
Old Slender must have been really hungry tonight, Joe thought as she arrived home. Ringing the doorbell, she waited for her parents to come to the door. She waited for a minute. No answer.
She picked up the carpet at the front of the door and grabbed the key that lay under it. "It's a good thing we have a spare," She said to herself as she unlocked the door.
The lights were off. They must be sleeping, she thought. But when she went to turn the hall light on, she realized she was wrong. The power was off. Suddenly she heard an eerie chuckle.
"Ugh, seriously, Slender?!" She groaned, annoyed. The chuckling immediately stopped. "You were sad that you couldn't eat me, so you just took my parents?"
Maybe, I don't know, a voice in her mind mumbled, embarrassed.
"Your such a weirdo. Give me the bags of blood," She said. She heard a groan.
"Now! Or you don't get any cheese this week." Suddenly, a spidery hand reached out in front of her and dropped 4 sandwich baggies filled with blood into her cupped hands.
"Jeez, Slender Man," Joe mumbled. "Why do you have to do that?"
I'm sorry, I felt hungry tonight. I can't help it, you know? He replied.
"Ugh, okay," Joe gave in. "As long as you can figure out a way to resurrect them."
Joe scolded Slender Man as he slithered out the door, slightly making his body shrink so that he could fit through it.
