Kyle, Summer, and their entire families were so proud at how great she looked and the fact that she didn’t seem nervous at all. She said all of her lines well but the one thing that was nerve wrecking was the fact that Rapunzel was supposed to kiss the prince. It wasn’t a real kiss since they weren’t old enough but it was a peck on the cheek. Watching that, Kyle had made the decision that he was going to tell Summer Nicole couldn’t date until she was 35 which Summer had laughed at as well as Nick. “Kyle? That’s the same thing I told Phyllis when it was Summer and you. It didn’t work well for me and it won’t work well for you. When the time comes, you are just going to have to deal with it like I had to.” Nick told him.
    “I know but I won’t have to like it.” Kyle responded.
    “That is also what I said when Summer and you started dating. The reason why I’ve been so hard on you and your relationship with my daughter is because I knew even then that the two of you were meant to be.”
    As they were watching the rest of the play, Summer realized that she needed to ask her father if he still had all of her skating gear in storage so she could give it to Nicole. “Dad? I was wondering if you had all of my old skating gear in storage because we’ve signed Nicole up for skating. I wanted to know if you still had my things before we bought her some.”
    “As a matter of fact, I do have your old gear. I knew the time would come when you would have a daughter and want some of your things for her. Come by the house later and I’ll give them to you.”
    Once the play was finished, everyone in the auditorium including the Newmans and Abbotts gave a loud round of applause but theirs were even longer and louder for Nicole since they were there for her. “Daddy? Mommy? These are my best friends Anastasia, Lindsay, and Rachel. They’re in my class and we have become very good friends. I was wondering if they could come over later and we could play.” Nicole told her parents.
    “It can’t be today because Mommy and I have to take you to do some errands later. We’re signing you up for some winter sports and we need to get you some clothes for those sports. You can save your playdate for after our house is finished and all of you can play in your nice big room.” Kyle told her.
    “OK, Daddy. Mrs. Clark wants Mommy and you to come to the classroom to get my things and then sign me out since she said we could leave with our parents after the play was finished.”
    “Nicole? While Daddy and I collect your things and sign you out, you should go over to where your grandparents and everyone else is. All of them came to see you in your play today. Stay with them until we get back.”
    “I’ll do that, Mommy.”
    Nicole left the side of her parents while her friends went off to their parents and their families. All of the parents decided that it was time for them to meet and become friends since their daughters had become friends as well. “What is your child’s name? What are your names?” Nicole’s teacher asked the parents as they were signing out their children.
    “Our daughter’s name is Nicole Abbott. I’m her mother Summer Newman soon to be Summer Abbott. This is her father and my fiancé Kyle Abbott.” Summer said.
    “Here are your daughter’s things and belongings. She can keep her costume because we don’t need it back since it was made specifically for her.”
    After hearing Summer say that Kyle and her were Nicole’s parents, pretty soon there were other parents coming up to them and introducing themselves. “Our names are Benjamin and Louise Stephens. We’re Anastasia’s parents. It’s nice to meet you. Anastasia can’t stop talking about your lovely daughter, Nicole.” Benjamin told them.
    “Thank you. I’m Kyle Abbott and this is my fiancée Summer Newman. We told Nicole that we didn’t think it would be best for all of our daughters to have a playdate and sleepover at our place because we’re having a house built. We told Nicole that it would be better to wait until it was done and she could have them over in her nice big room.”
    “Our names are Lincoln and Amanda Collins. Our daughter’s name is Lindsay. Just like Benjamin and Louise’s daughter, our beloved Lindsay can’t stop talking about your lovely Nicole.”
    “Thank you.”
    “Our names are Sebastian and Linda Adams. Our daughter’s name is Rachel. She thinks the world of your daughter and that is all she talks about besides Anastasia and Lindsay.”
    As Kyle and Summer got to talking to the other parents and taking Nicole’s things, they realized that maybe it was time for all four couples to have a date night and get to know each other better. Kyle and Summer realized that they needed friends who had children the same age as their daughter. They also realized that it was good for Nicole to make some friends just like them. “I’ll give you my cellphone number as well as Kyle’s cellphone number. Maybe we can arrange a date night for the eight of us to go out and have some fun besides being parents.”
    “That sounds like fun.”
