Kyle and Summer knew that they needed to get home to get ready for their party which meant meeting the caterers to set up around their pool. They wanted to make sure that they had everything ready ahead of time so they could just enjoy the party. Summer also knew that her trip to New York for the measurements of her wedding dress was just around the corner. She had arranged for the trip to happen after their party. Kyle had also made arrangements for when their daughter and he would join her plus he had made reservations at a pasta restaurant in Dumbo for the three of them to eat at while they were there. He had also bought tickets to two Broadway shows that were very family friendly for them to take their daughter to and they were Frozen and The Lion King.
    Little did they know that while in New York, they would be confronted yet again by Kyle’s past from when he lived there and was separated from Summer and their daughter. They also had no idea that Summer’s past was about to haunt them and their family as well. However, the one thing that would get her through this ordeal was that she would have Kyle’s love and support as well as well as Nicole’s love and support plus the love and support of her family. “Are you Summer Ann Newman?” a process server asked her.
    “Yes, I’m Summer Ann Newman.” Summer responded.
    “Miss Newman? You’ve been served.”
    After serving Summer, the process server left without answering any questions that she had. She decided that she needed to call her lawyer Brittany to inform her about what had happened. “Brittany? I just got served and I have no idea why. As my lawyer, I knew the first thing I had to do was call you so we could figure out what to do.” Summer informed her.
    “Come to my office. You can bring Kyle with you if you want because he is your fiancé and the father of your child. We can come up with a game plan on how to deal with this.” Brittany replied.
    They immediately went to Brittany’s office and were shocked to find out that Summer had been called as a witness in a divorce case but not just any divorce case. She had been called as a witness for the estranged wife of Pax who she had an affair with while he was married. “Since I’m your lawyer, I’ll send a response to the attorney representing his wife about what I’ve advised you to do and that I want to be present when they ask you questions in court.”
    As Brittany left to send their response to the requesting attorney, Summer turned to Kyle and decided to speak from her heart about the situation. “I’m sorry that my past has come back to haunt us while we’re in the middle of planning our future together and being a family with our daughter. When I accepted your marriage proposal and when we got back together, I never expected this to happen. Everything that gets revealed about my relationship and affair with Pax has nothing to do with us and how I feel not to mention have always felt about you.” Summer told him.
    “I know and you told me everything because we agreed to be honest with each other, Summer. We will get through this and it will just make us stronger. We have our whole lives to be together and are in the middle of planning our wedding. This little hick-up won’t stop us from getting married and having the life with our daughter.”
    Brittany informed them that she had sent their response and was now waiting to hear back from the other lawyer. She informed Summer that she would call them back after she knew more. Summer had no idea that would be the least of her problems. She had no idea what to expect next and that worried her. “Summer? I’ve heard back from the other lawyer. His wife not only wants you to testify for her against him but they have also requested a paternity test for your daughter because he is under the impression that Nicole is his even though all three of us know that Kyle is the father.”
    “Couldn’t we just submit the results from the first paternity test we did while Kyle was going through his divorce from Lola?”
    “I mentioned that but they want another one done. All three of you will have to go to another lab to get it done.”
