2 Races, 1 Love
Hi guys, I'm going to make another comparison with this film to another real-life film by Disney, Pocahontas. Are you ready?

Pocahontas

This was the very first American historical film that I had seen, and I was really amazed that the relationship between Pocahontas and John Smith in real life were different from their movie counterpart.
In real-life, Pocahontas was only 16 years old (correct me if I'm wrong) when she met John Smith. She saved him from being executed by her father and that she wanted peace.
Their love story in this movie reminds me of Jack and Rose from Titanic, in which I will write down on how similar they are. I guess Disney was trying to make it slightly historical true like when Pocahontas saved John Smith later in the film and the ending was also very sad with the majestic music.

Titanic

Okay, this was the second historical movie that I watch and the love story is very fictional. Jack and Rose are both fictional characters, so I could not blame James Cameron for writing a story and creating 2 memorable couples that we all fell in love with.

Ready to beloved?
Okay, aside from My Heart Will Go On, here are a number of songs from other movies or sung by other singers that may suit this young couple!

So Close (Enchanted)

I have always love this song, and the lyrics fits both Jack and Rose. In fact, this is the better choice as the theme song for the film itself.

Can You Feel the Love Tonight? (The Lion King)

This song should definitely play during the flying scene, it's like they're telling each other whether they can feel the atmosphere of love!

I Swear (All-4-One)

I grew listening to this song when the band sang this at Circus of the Stars goes to Disneyland. Rose promises Jack not to let go!

Far Longer Than Forever (The Swan Princess)

For the finale when Rose reunites with Jack, this song will be the perfect duet as everybody whose lives were perished on the ship look on.

So Close, Yet So Far!

Jack & Rose
Hi everybody, since this article is about my personal choice for the funeral music on the Titanic, especially on those whose life has been perish, are you ready?

1) Fallen Embers by Enya

This song was played during the 9/11 commemoration along with 'Only Time' and whenever I listen to it, there was a video on Youtube that this song was played at the ending, showing us the wreck of the ship in the sea.

2) Summa in Strings by Arvo Part

Although the title sounds hippy, the music is very sad and it is especially good for a funeral.

3) Song for Athene by John Taverner

We first heard this song at Princess Diana's funeral, this song will be again for those whose life have been perish, especially when Jack died.

May Ye Rest in Peace

Whenever I listen to them, especially the first choice, I cried. Enjoy listening to them!

Noah & Allie.
A few years ago, I watched Nicholas Spark's The Notebook and I noticed a number of similarities between this movie and Titanic that I would like to write it down.

The Notebook

Noah reminds me a lot of Jack, because he comes from a poor family and falls head over heels with Allie on the first day that they met.
The beginning is also very much similar like the beginning of Titanic, because when our 2 characters are old and tells us during their younger days. The same with Rose when she told her story to her granddaughter and the other researchers on the doom luxury ship.
Allie comes from a very rich family and was caught by her parent on her relationship with Noah, they want her to marry a rich man like what Rose's mother did when she set Rose up to marry Cal.
The only different is that Allie broke up with Lon Hammond, while Rose elopes with Jack until his tragic death and that she never see both her mother and Cal ever again while on the RMS Carpathia.

TITANIC
Titanic is a 1997 American epic romantic disaster film directed, written, co-produced, co-edited and partly financed by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
Cameron's inspiration for the film was predicated on his fascination with shipwrecks; he wanted to convey the emotional message of the tragedy and felt that a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to achieving this. Production on the film began in 1995, when Cameron shot footage of the actual Titanic wreck.
In 1996, treasure hunter Brock Lovett and his team aboard the research vessel Keldysh search the wreck of RMS Titanic for a necklace with a rare diamond, the Heart of the Ocean. They recover a safe containing a drawing of a young woman wearing only the necklace. It is dated April 14, 1912, the day the ship struck the iceberg.[Note 1] Rose Dawson Calvert, claiming to be the person in the drawing, visits Lovett and tells of her experiences aboard the ship.

Just look at that emotion in their eyes!
Clearly the Titanic is an incredibly accurate movie besides the obvious things like Jack and Rose and the Heart of the Ocean. There are some other fictional parts as well but I think James Cameron had good reasoning behind his additions. If Cameron wasn’t so accurate with most parts of the movie like character’s appearances, the ship itself, evacuation processes, passenger’s actions and reactions, language, music played on the ship, and even actual footage of the wreckage underwater, then I wouldn’t think his inaccuracies would be appropriate. But they are. They just give the film so much more meaning. They make the audience want to stay and experience the voyage for that whole 3 hours. And also while the audience is captured for the 3 hours by the inaccuracies, they learn a lot about the Titanic’s accurate story. The obvious example of Jack and Rose is only used to reel in viewers to a love story and make the movie more interesting and emotional. If the heart of the ocean wasn’t made up, Rose wouldn’t have had a reason to tell Brock and his crew her story, hence tell the story of the Titanic. Also during the beginning underwater footage scene, the set-up of the...

Okay, so I've been reading stories on Fanfiction.net and some of the stories have alternating POV, from Jack to Rose, so I'm going to re-edit my first story using alternating POVs, so please tell me what you think and if you guys  like it, I'll re-edit my other stories like this. And if you see this ~, it means that it's the beginning of a flashback, thanks, and hope you enjoy:) and I am working in the Tommy and Fabrizio story, but I have writers block at the moment so I thought I would do this instead.

Rose POV
I was freezing, I couldn't feel my body, I found it hard to breathe, the pain was unbearable, just like Jack had said it would be.

~"Water that cold, like right down there, it hits you like a thousand knives stabbing you all over your body, you can't breathe, you can't think, at least not about anything but the pain."~
And that was so true. The only thing that kept me going was Jacks promise, but at this point I don't even know if that can. I was staring up at the black sky when a bright light started shining in my eye, that's when I realized that a boat was coming back for us.

Caldeon Hockley: Machiavellian malcontent or misunderstood martyr?
I was nine years old when Titanic was released, and I was probably like a lot of you then. I idolized Jack Dawson and had pretty much written Cal off as just another bad guy. I'm probably the last person you'd expect to say that, right? But then I found something that completely changed my mind about him.
One day my dad brought a copy of James Cameron's Titanic home from the library, and when I was reading it, I came upon this quote from Billy Zane: "[Cal's] heart is breaking just as he's realizing he has one." I never really thought about that before, but the more I did, the more I realized he was right. Cal isn't evil; he's just hurt.
In his own way, Cal was as much a pawn for Ruth's social advancement as Rose was. I expect Ruth would hide anything that might jeopardize the marriage until after the fact, so Cal probably had no idea just how dire Rose's financial situation was or that Rose was being forced to marry him. He had every reason to believe Rose loved him in return, at least until Jack Dawson came along.

Rose." Jack said, walking out from April's room, shutting the door behind him.
       "They're asleep already?!" Rose joked.
"Yes. Out like a light." Jack said sitting down on the couch next to Rose. "I've been thinking."
        "And?" Rose interrupted.
"Well. Remember on Titanic when you said you wanted to go to that Pier down in Santa Monica? Well, do you still want to go?"
"Jack! You remembered that?!" Rose yelled hugging into him.
"Rose, I remember every word you say." Jack said kissing her forehead. "Well? Do you want to? I could call the hotel and the sitter and we could leave in two days. But only if you want!"
"Of corse I do!" Rose said with excitement.
"Okay. We'll call the sitter and book the room tomorrow. We leave in two days. Now come on, let's head to bed for some alone time." Jack said stroking Rose's hair.
"Carry me." Rose joked, as she extended her arms for Jack to pick her up.

Nearer My God To Thee scene.
The sinking scene is amazing even though there were a few mistakes. Amazing graphics makes me cry. The actors and extras did an amazing job too.
Titanic is the best movie in the whole world!
But a mistake they made is when the lights go out there are some vents and the compass platform, I just ignore it mistakes happen sometimes, anyway the glass dome breaking was done for real including parts of the sets flooding and sinking, nice. Love this movie! Has very good actors in it.
So sad that 1,500 lives were lost and only 705 survivors lived. She lay's down at the bottom of the ocean. Two parts of the sinking scene was kinda funny,a gut hitting the propellers and Jack saying "Your so stupid Rose" I laughed so hard.

Jack was lying down in his hospital bed, the same place he had been for the past five days. The surgery on his knee went fine and he was going to get out soon. He was then awoken by a worker "Excuse me. Where are my wife and kids?" he asked, a little groggy due to all of the sleep.
"I'm sorry. No one came here with you." She said as she was clearing his food tray.
Then, Jack remembered what had happened, it was about five nights ago, he was at the back of the hotel, with Rose and they were going to get Rosa and April from Cal. But Cal told them that Rose had to go with him if they wanted the girls to be safe, so Rose went to Cal but then Cal shot him in the leg. Then Cal took Rose and the girls away and left Jack there bleeding until a hotel worker came to assist him, but by the time he was able to get up, they'd already drove away.

Back at the hotel, Cal was explaining the "Rules" to the girls. "You do not leave this room, you stay here until we go to New York in five days, you do not even go out in the hallway in this hotel, and when I leave this room, you do not open the door for anyone nor do you answer the...

If Jack had Lived; Cal's Revenge

"Jack, this one looks nice." Rose said, pointing to a new comforter.
"Yea, it does. So is this the one you want?" Jack asked.
"Yes. I think that one will do." Rose said, picking it up and walking over to the check-out. "Come on Rosa and April."
If only they knew that right across from them in the store, Cal was watching their every move. Cal knew that Jack and Rose were alive, but he didn't know where they were until a couple of weeks ago when he was driving by their house and saw Rose come out the front door, Cal thought of pulling over to see her, but right then a car pulled into the driveway and Jack got out of the car. Then two girls ran out of the house and ran up and hugged Jack, Cal rolled down the car window and heard "Daddy Daddy!" he then decided that to get back at Jack, he needed to take the girls. So since then, Cal had been planning on how to take the girls, and today was his chance.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Rosa said as she ran up to Jack as he walked in through the door.
"Hi sweetie!" Jack said picking Rosa up. "What did you and mommy do today?"
"We talked about colors for the Babies room and we felt the baby kick!"
"Really? That's great! What colors did you choose?" Jack asked, walking into the living room with Rosa still in his arms.
"Me and mommy said that purple's a nice color, but my room's purple, so then we said that orange and a pale pink look nice, so we are thinking about those colors, but mommy wanted to see if you liked those colors. So do you?" Rosa said out of breath.
"I think those two colors would look beautiful, tomorrow's my day off, would you like to get the paint then?"
            "Can we mommy!?" Rosa asked.

You two girls soon ready?" Jack asked, standing in the porch, wearing his tuxedo.
"We would have been ready sooner but Rosa wouldn't let me put her dress on." Rose said as she walked out of the hallway with Rosa in her arms.  Even though Rosa was only one year old, she looked liked her mother; blue eyes, red hair and paler skin.
"Aren't you supposed to be dressed as well?"
"I'm getting dressed at the church, you know it's bad luck to see me in my dress before the wedding. Here, you take Rosa while I go get my dress." Rose said handing Rosa over to Jack.
"Hi, you look so pretty in your outfit." Jack said holding his daughter in his arms. "Do you know that exactly two years ago today me and mommy met?"
"Okay, I'm ready." Rose said bringing out her dress with the wedding dress bag still over it. "Let's go, I got the dress, can you take her until we get in the car?"
"Sure." Jack said reaching for his keys. He opened the door for Rose, then followed. "Are you sure you don't need any help with that?"

The door to the house opened.  Jack walked into the house, tiptoed  up to Rose and grabbed her by the waist, and kissed her check. "How was your day?" he asked.
" Fine." Rose replied, fiddling with her engagement ring.
"Just fine? Did anything important happen?"
"Our wedding is in seven months, right?"
"Right, exactly one year to the day we met, we planned it like that, so what does that have to do with anything?"
"Jack, I'm two months pregnant." Rose said, sounding a little worried.
"Rose! This is amazing! We're going to be parents! " Jack said kissing Rose's small bump. "So what does the  wedding have to do with this?" Jack asked, still excited.
"In seven months, it is going to about my due date, but I really want to get married to you the anniversary of the day we met, so I was thinking that maybe, if it was okay with you, if maybe we held off the wedding until next year?" Rose asked. Jack walked up to her and  kissed her check, "What ever works for you two." he said grinning, he bent down and kissed her bump again. "I love you two."

Rose was asleep on Jack's chest, while Jack was gently stroking her hair. He then noticed lights in the distance.
"Rose, Rose, look." he whispered in her ear. "What?"  Rose asked, a little groggy.  "Look Rose, there are the lights, we're in New York!" Jack said with excitement in his voice. "We are? We are!" Rose said, waking up.
"Come on, let's go get a closer look." Jack said , taking Rose to the side of the ship.
"Jack, look at it, it's so beautiful." Rose said hugging Jack's side. "Rose, that coat is soaked! You should take it off." Jack took off the coat, when he put it on the ground, it made a 'Thump'. Jack picked up the coat and felt inside the pockets, in one of the pockets, he felt something hard, when he took it out; The Heart of the Ocean was in his hand.

The door to the newly bought house opened. "Jack, is that you?" Rose asked.
"Yes." Jack answered as he hung up his coat, taking a red velvet box out of one of his coat pockets and stuffing it in his pants pockets. He walked up to Rose grabbed her waist, and turned her around so he could see her face, and kissed her passionately . "I love you." he...

I was actually going to write these in "Wall" section because it might be spam (it's mostly about my personal feelings and experiences.) But there was a character limitation. So I had to write as it is an article. I'm sorry for the inconvenience...

I watched Titanic in 3D two days ago. I can't say I'm a big fan of the 3D thing for this movie. But the movie itself is wonderful and that's the point. Watching Titanic again in theatre is definitely priceless! I'd go and watch it again, if it were to be released 10 years later...
My problem is, I'm thinking of Jack since I watched it two days ago. And I can't think of any other! Even I've watched it a thousand times and I memorised every little detail of the movie, it still makes me cry! And so it did! I cried during the whole movie...
I love Jack so much, even though I know he's only a fictional character. I had a dream of Jack last night; I was pulling him out and saving him. Am I so childish or stupid?

"Jack, Jack, there's a boat Jack." Rose said to Jack.
Jack opened his eyes, almost froze to death. "We need to.... Get their attention....". Rose got off the door. "Rose! Where are you going?"
         "There's a whistle... Over there.... That's the only way.... We'll be...Saved.
Rose swam over to the frozen officer and grabbed the whistle out of his mouth and blew. "Come about!" yelled the officer. Shining the light in Rose's face. They helped Rose out of the water, then, went to Jack, and helped him into the boat. In the boat, Jack and Rose where covered in blankets, holding hands. After a few minutes, they fell asleep.

They were awoken by the sound of cheering and yelling. "It's a ship! We're saved!"  They opened their eyes, to see the side of a ship, the 'Carpathia. A ladder was hanging down so the passengers of Titanic could climb aboard. Jack helped Rose on the ladder and then followed behind her. On board, they found two chairs to sit on. "How are you?" Jack asked. "I'm fine, just a bit shaken, I mean, I almost lost you." Rose said, shedding a tear.

This makes very interesting reading...........

What Really Happened to the Titanic

Of all tales of the supernatural, this one is perhaps the best documented, the most disturbing and the most difficult to explain...

The Princess of Amen-Ra lived in 1050 B.C. When she died, she was laid in an ornate wooden coffin and buried deep in a vault at Luxor, on the banks of the Nile. In the 1880s, four rich young Englishmen visiting the excavations at Luxor were invited to buy an exquisitely fashioned mummy case containing the remains of the Princess of Amen-Ra. They drew lots. The man who won paid several thousand pounds and had the coffin taken to his hotel. A few hours later, he was seen walking out towards the desert. He never returned. The next day, one of the remaining three men was shot by an Egyptian servant accidentally.

RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.

The largest passenger steamship in the world at the time, the Olympic-class RMS Titanic was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland, UK. After setting sail for New York City on 10 April 1912 with 2,223 people on board, she hit the iceberg four days into the crossing, at 11:40 pm on 14 April 1912, and sank at 2:20 am the following morning. The high casualty rate resulting from the sinking was due in part to the fact that, although complying with the regulations of the time, the ship carried lifeboats for only 1,178 people. A disproportionate number of men died due to the "women and children first" protocol that was enforced by the ship's crew.
