Mike walked out of the studio with excitement. He was so exited that he didn't realize that a dog was running right at him. The dog pounces on him and knocked him on his butt. Mike starts to pet and play with the dog and then notices the young girl right in front of him. It was Zoey, the successful pop star. "sorry" said Mike. "that's alright" Zoey replied. "I'm Mike. What's your dog's name?"said Mike. "Carlie, listen I need to go. It was nice meeting you." Zoey said. Mike smiled and walked away wishing he could be with her, but he knew she had a boyfriend, Cameron. Mike went home to finish his chores and go to bed.
When Mike woke up he came down stairs and he ate breakfast. As he was eating his aunt said there was a phone call for him. Mike grabbed the phone and said"hello?". Hello, this is USA recording studio. Are you Mike?". Mike replied" yes this is Mike. Can I help you?". "no you got the janitor job you start in two hours. See you then". "who was that"asked Mike's uncle. Mike replied with an exited look on his face"it was USA recording studio. They said I got the job I applied for.""Your step dad will never allow this"said Mike's aunt with a worried look on her face. Mike asked" will you cover for me?". "sure" replied his uncle. Mike left two hours later for his new job. Once he got to USA recording studio, he got his cart and headed up to the 5th floor. Mike walked around and saw Zoey's office. He walked in and to clean and he saw so many pictures of her and her dad. Mike walked around some more and and saw a shelf that needed dusting. He thought how he couldn't get to the top and then Svetlana came out. She jumped to the top of the shelf and dusted it in one sweep. When he stepped foot to the ground he became Mike again.
Zoey walked in with a bunch of shopping bags. She was surprised to see Mike in her office. They both exchanged quick smiles and said hi and Mike left. After work he walked to the pawn shop not knowing he's being followed by Zoey. He walked in and started to sing and play the piano. Mike was interrupted by Zoey. "what are you doing here? Did you follow me?",asked Mike. "maybe, I wanted to give you this."said Zoey."An invitation to your masquerade ball this friday, I'd love to come ." replied Mike. Zoey and Mike went to go get a bite to eat and had lots of conversations. Mike eventually left to the pawn shop. Mike walked in. "where have you been for the past 12 hours" asked Scott. " no where" Mike replied. Lightning and Mike's stepdad walked in. Mike's stepdad asked Mike "what's that behind your back?". Scott grabbed the envelop and handed it to his dad." what's this? Mike, did you steal this?" asked the stepdad." no, Zoey gave it to me" replied Mike. "Well then we better not waste it, boys, your brother gave us a chance to show off your skills. We're going to Zoey's masquerade ball." the boys and dad left laughing. Mike went to bed so depressed he cried himself to sleep. Mike's aunt went to wake up her husband, Mike's uncle, telling him to get her sewing machine. As soon as he got it Mike's aunt went to work on his costume for the masquerade ball.
Mike woke up even more depressed then last night knowing that the ball was tonight. His uncle came up to him smiling telling him his aunt has something for him. Mike walked over to the repair shop where his aunt and uncle slept. His aunt held up a blue tux and mask. " what's this?asked Mike. "it's your costume for the ball." answered Mike's aunt. Mike asked "but what if my step dad notices me or my hair?". "Don't worry you have this mask and we'er going to style your hair, so you may see your stepdad and brothers but they won't see you."said Mike's aunt. Mike was so exited. Soon it was time for Mike's brothers to leave. They left laughing at Mike. As soon as they walked out the door Mike went to put on his costume for the ball. He took the bike that his uncle was working on. Mike got to the ball in less then fifteen minuets. Mike walked up the stairs with his hair jelled back and a mask around his face. He saw a bodyguard who asked for Mike's invitation. Mike replied "that man stole my invitation and then I said that you wouldn't allow this and then they said that bodyguards are stupid. I told them that bodyguards should be respected." "stay right here"said the bodyguard. He walked off and as soon as he walked off Mike walked in to the ball. Mike starts to hear music so he walks to the sound, but he accidentally walked into his stepdad. Mike apologized in a disguised voice and ran away. His stepdad followed him anyway. Mike ran closer to the music.
He saw Zoey dancing with Cameron. About half way through the song the DJ told everyone to switch partners. Everyone switched except Zoey. Mike then stepped in to dance with her. When the song was over Mike thanked Zoey for the dance and ran towards Sam. Zoey was pleased with the mystery man she danced with. Mike found Sam, but at first Sam didn't know it was Mike. He eventually realizes it was Mike.They talked for a few minuets. While they were talking Mike 's step brothers got up on stage, introduced themselves, then started to sing. "man who are those guys. They're terrible." asked Sam." there my step brothers, Lightning and Scott,and I know they're terrible" said Mike. Sam told Mike" you should go up on stage. You sing a lot better then those losers". "Yeah, I'll do it."said Mike. Mike went down to to the stage where his brothers were just booed off the stage. Mike got on stage and started to sing. Zoey's dad thinks he's great. The song was finally over and Mike looked through the crowd. He noticed that his step dad and brothers were leaving. Mike ran off the stage and into the hallway. He was interrupted by Zoey again. "Wait, who are you?" asked Zoey. Mike ran up to her and kissed her. " I love you"said Mike. On his way out he dropped his MPD card. Zoey picked it up the card only knowing that the mystery man's name began with an M.
As for Mike, he raced home on his bike hoping he got to the shop before his step dad. And he did. Mike dashed up to his room and took off his jacket. He got in bed as quickly as he could and grabbed a comic book. Just then his step dad came into his room all mad." hi" said Mike. His step dad just stomped off.He left and right away Mike looked for his MPD card. He look and looked but he just couldn't find it. He got so frustrated he turned into Chester." where is that card? I bet one of those young whippersnappers took it." Chester said. Mike turned back into himself after his stepbrother, Lightning, fell down the stairs, yelling. Mike went to sleep worrying about his MPD card. The next morning Mike ate breakfast, did his chores, and headed to work. He got to work and Zoey walked up to Mike. "Hey Mike where were you last night. You missed all the fun". " I got sick" Mike replied. " you missed it there was this guy that was a terrific singer and he was bad at the kissing stuff either." Zoey said in a low voice. "oh, he kissed you" Mike said in a surprised voice. "there was really no time to react, so do you want to grab a bite to eat after work." asked Zoey. "sure, see you after work" said Mike. Zoey said bye and they both went to work.
After work Zoey met Mike outside the recording studio and they headed towards the park. Once they got to the park Zoey said that they were going to find the mystery man. She also said that they were going to use a theater that she rented and hold auditions to find the mystery man. Mike was onboard because he knew that he could tell Zoey that it was him who kissed her and he thought that he might be able to be with Zoey because she broke up with Cameron. Mike hugged Zoey and left. He got back to the pawn shop talking to himself about his plan for the audition, not thinking there was anyone around, but there was. Mike's step brother, Scott, was listening to what he was saying and then ran upstairs to his room. Scott looked through Mike's stuff and found the song Mike sang at the ball and a flyer for the audition. Scott ran to his father and showed him. "good work, Scott" said the stepdad.
It was the day of the audition, Mike and Zoey were talking and then Scott showed up." what are you doing here, Scott?" asked Mike. "auditioning, what else. Dad said he wanted to see you, he's upstairs." replied Scott. Mike thanked him and headed upstairs to see what his stepdad wanted. Mike asked" what do you want?". I have something for you. Follow me". Mike followed his stepdad into a janitor's broom closet and his step dad locked the door."I'm sick of you always trying to steal your brother's dreams" said Mike's stepdad. Mike screamed to the top of his lungs trying to get out. He stayed in the closet for about a half an hour. Mike got his shirt stuck on a broom and it accidentally got ripped off. He turned into Vito and punched open the door. Mike turned back into himself and grabbed a janitor jacket and his own shirt and ran down to the auditions, but he was too late. His step brother, Scott, was up on sage with Zoey and her dad. Mike's stepdad walked up behind him and said" guess you were to late, Mike".
Mike ran out of the theater and to the pawn shop, where everything was decorated for Scott's party. About five minuets later he heard a crowd coming, so he ran upstairs to pack. During packing Mike put on a hat and turned into Manitoba Smith. But "Manitoba Smith" took off the hat for some unknown reason. Mike got all his things together and headed downstairs. On his way out Mike ran into his stepdad" where you going champ. Your going to miss Scott's party. Did you really thing that you were going to get away with this?". Mike just kept walking and he ran into Zoey." where are you going Mike?" asked Zoey. "I can't stay here Zoey" replied Mike with a upset tone in his voice." will you at least stay for the announcement. It would mean a lot to me." asked Zoey. "sure"said Mike. He put down his bags and watched Zoey walk up to the stage." attention everyone"began Zoey." it was tough finding the mystery man but we finally found him". Zoey was almost done with her speech, but Mike decided to leave and then Zoey said the name of the real mystery man. "Mike".
Mike turned around in surprise. "I'm sorry for the mix-up, but Mike is the real mystery man. Mike come up here and sing for us" said Zoey. Mike walked up on stage and started to sing. When the song was done Mike asked how Zoey knew. I found your MPD card and then my friends saw you punch out the janitor's door. After that I knew it was you."said Zoey. "This isn't fair" yelled Scott. He ran up to Mike and slapped him unconscious. Mike fell to the ground. Zoey yelled for Mike, but he wouldn't get up. Mike found himself in his mind surrounded by all his personalities." where am I?" asked Mike. " Ey yo! We'er all in your flipping mind."said Vito. "it's his subconscious, you salami head." said Chester. " I think it is time to show you who is boss." said Svetlana. "Yeah. This shrimp keeps getting in the way with the ladies."said Manitoba Smith. Mike was surprised to hear what he was hearing." I'm in the way. You guys have been pushing me around for too long. It's payback time." said Mike in an angry voice. All of Mike's personalities started to beat him. Zoey yelled for Mike again and Mike lost it. He took control of his brain. Mike finally got up and Zoey asked if he was ok. Mike replied " Better then ok Zoey. I won". Zoey's dad walked up to Mike and said "son how would you like a recording contract with USA recording studios". Mike told him that he would. Just then Lighning walked up and he told Mike that he owned the pawn shop. Zoey kissed Mike. Mike was so happy. In the end Mike gained control over his personalities, Zoey became his girl friend, and he got a recording contract. Now that's a happy ending.
