Mike and Zoey
Mike and Zoey
Here's my first Christmas story. I hope you enjoy it. It's the Night before Christmas. Total Drama Revenge Of The Island style. In this story there will be no dialogue.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house, everyone was stirring, even a mouse. Everyone was getting ready for Christmas Eve night. Cooking goodies and wrapping gifts. The Roger's family was exited for Christmas night. There was Mike, Zoey, Emma, and Peter. Zoey and Emma were cooking there special dinner, cheese and chocolate fondue. While they were doing that the boys, Mike and Peter, were watching football. They were screaming and hollering like boys do. Eventually, everyone had to hang up there stocking with care. They were all beautiful. Of course, Peter had the biggest one of them all. They were all hopeful that St. Nicholas would be at their house tonight.

The day grew longer and longer. Eventually, it was 6: 00 and it was time for their special dinner. Zoey started melting the cheese and when it was totally melted both Mike and Zoey set out the food and gave the kids skewers. Everyone was dipping in chicken, apples, broccoli and other foods. While they were eating dinner they were tracking Santa on a website called Norad Santa. They thought it was a really cool website because there was a village where you could play games and you could see where Santa is in the world. Everyone was finishing up the cheese fondue and Zoey cleaned out the pot. After, she started to melt the chocolate. Mike set out the food, like marshmallows, strawberries, angel food cake and other delicious foods. They were also drinking eggnog and hot coco. After, they gathered around the tree so the kids could open a present. Emma opened a small box. Inside was a beautiful bracelet. Peter opened a large rectangular box and inside that was a race car track. It was time for bed, so the kids got ready. Everyone gathered in the living room in their pj's. Mike read the Christmas story near the fireplace while everyone sat around him. Everyone got even more tired while Mike read the story. When he was finished the kids went to bed. He tucked them both in and kissed them on the forehead.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Santa soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar-plums fairies danced in Emma's head. And Zoey in her night gown, and Mike in his boxers, had just settled down for a long winter’s nap. Mike was reading a book and Zoey was asleep. Just then, a clatter arose. Mike sprang up immediately. He ran over to the window, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash without waking Zoey. He looked around, seeing the moon reflect off of the new fallen snow. He thought it was beautiful. Just then, to Mike's wondering eyes saw a sleigh and eight reindeer. They were off in the distance. In the sleigh was a little old driver that was quick and lively. Mike now knew that it was Santa. Then St. Nick called out the reindeer's names. "Now Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, on Donner and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!". They flew fast like a hurricane to the top of their house. Mike could hear the reindeer and sleigh landing on the roof. Mike ran downstairs to see St. Nick. Santa came down the chimney with a bound. His red suit was covered in ashes and with the sack of toys on his back Mike thought he looked like a peddler.

Mike saw him pure as day. His eyes twinkled! His dimples were merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose was like a cherry. His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow. Santa walked over to the milk and cookies and ate them while reading the card. He had a broad face and a little round belly, that, when he laughed, shuck like a bowlful of jelly! He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, and Mike laughed when he saw him. Santa saw Mike standing behind the wall. He winked at Mike and twisted his head. That soon told Mike that there was nothing to worry. Santa started to quickly unpack his toy sack. He stuffed the stockings and placed presents under the tree. It made the room bright up like Christmas lights. When he was finished he walked into the chimney. Putting his finger aside of his nose, Santa gave a nod and he rose up the chimney. Mike walked out from behind the corner and stood in the present filled room. He smiled. Then, he walked back upstairs to his room. On the roof, Santa hopped into his sleigh and whistled to his team of reindeer. As he rode out of sight Mike heard ,"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!". Mike smiled again and fell asleep.

It was Christmas morning. The kids ran in to their parent's room and started to jump up and down on them yelling that it was Christmas. They all went downstairs and started tearing through their gifts. Mike was very happy and smiled, thinking about last night.

Yay. Finished my first Christmas story. My story is still short so I'm going to include Twas the night before Christmas. Here you go.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
