Chapter 5
Okay I’ll- wait what
We danced liked the crazy people we were, close yet strange, sweet yet insane, cool yet tender, happy yet…something else. I hoped that Cal was noticing, I haven’t seen him since he and Grey left the kitchen.
Sage and Beth came back after there bathroom break and joined us, and soon we were the four friends of awesome dancing together.
When we took break, Grey and (girly squeal please) Cal went to us. It was hard to ignore the icy glares from the female population when two of the ‘it’ boys from school approached us.
“Hey,” I say breathless, my eyes on Cal. Who only nodded and continued looking around, obviously bored.
“I got you this,” Grey told Beth, handing her a perfectly normal bottled water.
Beth grinned. “Thanks,” she wrapped him in a hug. He stiffened for a second, before relaxing into it.
When they broke apart, Grey’s face was slightly red. “No problem.”
They bid there farewells, Cal looked at me. “Nice necklace,” then he turned and quickly followed Grey, and they both left.
“Eeep! Eeep! Eeep! Eeeeeeeeeeeppp!” I squealed. “Did you hear that?!”
The gals traded amused glances, Beth uncapped her bottle and took a big thirsty gulp.
“Sharing is caring!” Sage wailed, and Beth let her take a sip.
“Doubled!” I say, and Ali quickly retorts. “Tripled!”
We all took a sip and sighed.
“Bless this sweet water that gives us our strength.” We all said at the same time in our dreamy state.
Then Sage looks me. “Did you hear what he said?!”
“I know!!!” I yell, doing a happy dance.
“He likes your necklace,” Ali says in song like way, and soon we all followed.
“He likes your necklace! He likes your necklace! He likes your necklace! He likes your necklace!” We all chanted, doing our happy dance, which is basically this kind of twirl.
After taking a deep breath, I grin at my gals. “Excuse me ladies, but I need a bathroom break myself, and hopefully a run-in with a handsome named C,” I wink. “I’ll find my way.”
They all wave at me, and I sashay towards the hall, I go upstairs, because I feel the upstairs bathrooms are way more sanitary.
When I reach the top of the stairs, my phone goes off, confused I look to see an unfamiliar number.
“Stranger danger, stalker alert! Sorry buddy, but I don’t associate with a someone who stalks there crush.” Even though I do, but still, it’s expected from a girl.
“Like I would waste my time on a loser like you,” a familiar voice said, and I immediately scowled.
“Give me the address of whoever told you my phone number,” I say in a deadly voice.
“Chill out-”
“Who says ‘chill’ anymore?”
“I’m bringing it back.”
“Whatever I’m-”
“You owe me. Remember?”
“Grrr,” I totally forgot about that.
I could practically feel his smirk. “To busy drooling over Cal.”
“No!”
Grey laughed. “Sure, where are you?”
“Upstairs right in front of the bathroom door but don’t you dare-”
He shut off the phone!
I mentally face palmed, I just had to dumbly tell him where I was, didn’t I?
I leaned against the door, waiting for him. As always he comes right on time, fashionably late.
“I have friends waiting for me downstairs! And you take an hour, to get here!” I demand, furious.
“Your friends are covered, I got them outside drooling over the guys playing football.” He didn’t seem happy.
“Jealous there drooling over them instead of you?” I sneer.
Grey rolls his eyes. “So I know you’ve been curious.”
“Yeah. What do you want? In terms of ‘oweing’?” I ask using air quotes.
He hesitates for a moment. “Beth,” he says simply.
“Not a surprise, I already know,” I laugh at his widening eyes. “Come on, it’s so obvious…to me anyway. But I am not going to just hand her over like some doll.”
He looked disturbed. “Of course not! It’s just that, I want to date her, and I think she looks up to you.”
I yawn and he glares at me.
He nervously runs a hand through his hair. “You’re her best friend, you can put in a good outlook on me, you know.”
“That’s impossible considering your barely good,” I tell him.
He glares at me again. “I’m nice, just not to you. You’ll set us up.”
“Okay I will.”
“You’ll convince her that I’m not that bad.”
“Okay I will.”
“You’ll give me free access to your house.”
“Okay I’ll- wait WHAT?”
Grey rubs his ears. “Gosh, could you be any more louder,” he grumbles.
“Why free access?”
“In case she comes!”
“Boy, what have you been drinking?!”
He ignores me. “So we’ll be alone, able to talk.”
“No! Your smoking, aren’t you?”
“And she’ll get to know me better.”
“That drugged cup?”
“You owe me!”
I huff, “fine.”
Grey smirks. “See you later.”
He saunters down the stairs, and I sigh. What have I gotten myself into?
But that means more time spent with Grey, which means more time spent with Cal. It may be a crazy excuse to be close to him all the time, but hey, I owe him.
Maybe this won't end in a disaster after all, because I just shudder at what Grey would do if I didn't help him out.
Cross fingers please!

This is a crazy song I wrote called Rotten Tomatoes, and I hired the Black-Eyed Peas to sing it. WARNING: This song was meant for entertainment, and should in no way be connected to real people, places, or things. It is not the author's responsibility for the medical bills if you die from laughter, or possibly, thinking I'm weirdness.

Converse is awesome
The Westing Game is gruesome
My friends all ran
When they heard me say that
People say I'm weird
But look over there then,
That teen has a
White, fluffy beard
Chocolate coins rock
They're the celebs of the block
They're creamy and sweet
Cuz they always go to swim meets
I love Harry Potter
Or was it Apple Rotter?
It was everyone's favorite,
But it soon molded.
Now, I'm almost five
And I live in a hive,
Like my other amigos
Who live in anthills!

The whole of the mountain will crash down and roll over me - but it does not crush me.
Human physical strength has limitations and it weakens in time. 'Inner strength' knows no bounds!
The confines of this earthly realm have no bearing.
Let it be done!
Let the horns sound that shake the foundation.
Call forth the titans. Summon up the dread that lies buried deep within the heart and mind.
Let the godless fear when they face the charge.
The lost will flee or loose heart.
'And in the darkening late hours when the ground rumbles like an oncoming train...I will draw from deep wells what cannot be poisoned or tainted or overturned. I will stand, though the tides rise and the clouds threaten...and there I will remain, even if I show signs and cracks of care and hardship.
I will not be broken.
I may grow weary.
Though all the elements come against me
and tear at flesh and bone!-I WILL STAND!
Why can't the world become a fairytale book?
It wouldn't be as mean
But it may be much more green
Dragons that can be your pet
Princesses with hair for rope climbing
Pumpkins that can turn into horse carriages
And cats that wear boots and fight mice.
The people in reality aren't always very nice
But even the ogres and giants can say hello and give you nice things
Princesses aren't snobby queen bees at school
Princes aren't egomaniacs
And money is in gold, silver, or copper or even magic beans!
Hens lay golden eggs
Poverty can end in five seconds
You can get your own fairy and wish for whatever you want
And have your any desires
But I guess this is all in the mind
But the world can be kind at times
It isn't always bad and cruel
But imagination makes it go around
It wouldn't be as mean
But it may be much more green

Princesses with hair for rope climbing
Pumpkins that can turn into horse carriages
