Whinny walked along, keeping her eyes on the woods but her mind on Charlie.

The sky started to grow dark, and she couls hear Jacob in her head. Talking to himself and seeing that he was staying on his part of the border. She perked her ears up, there was a russle in the bushes to her right. She stopped and waited, she was backing into the shadows, when a familar scent caught her nose. She raised her head, as Charlie popped his light-brown wolf head head out of the bushes.

"Hey there." He said into her head.

WHinny backed away a few feet. "What? When did you go wolf? I haven't heard a thought from you." She said, still trying to figure out how she had smelt him but not heard him.

He walked full out of the bush. "Haha I'm good at not thinking my thoughts. Keeps my secrets secret."

Whinny smiled and took a few steps toawrd him.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Charlie said.

"Oh its ok." Whinny said. "So is Ric with you too?"

Charlie shook his head. "No I came alone. Ric really didn't want to leave the fire."

"Oh." Whinny said. Then looking toward the ground not knowing what to say next.

"How about we finish you partrol up?" Charlie said.

Whinny looked up at him. "Yeah."

She turned to continue walking with Charlie right in step beside her.

"So how do you like being a wolf? I know its not like how they show it in movies. Howling by the moonlight, drooling at the sight of a possible human meal." Whinny said.

"Its better than the movies. I like being a wolf. Its..... Its nice. I get to meet the nicest people in town." He nudged her slighly emphasizing on nicest people. "And beside have you seen my abs? They are awesome!" He laughed.

If Whinny's cheeks were visible at the time, they would be beat red.

"If you think you have nice abs you should take a look at mine!" Jacob spoke into their heads.

Charlie laughed, and Whinny sighed. For the rest of patrol Charlie stayed with her and they chatted about random things, or just about something that popped into their mind.

When patrol was over Whinny went off to go meet up with Sam, while Jacob and Chalire went home.

Whinny got to Sam's house transfromed pulling on her clothes and walked into Sam's house. Emily was in the kitchen as she walked in.

"Hey Whinny. I would have thought Jacob would be giving the patrol report."

Whinny smiled. "He would be but I lost a bet, now I am giving Sam the report."

Emily laughed. "Race to the water?"

"Yeah." Whinny answered. "Is Sam in the livingroom?"

"Yeah he is."

Whinny said bye to Emily and headed into the livingroom. She saw Sam sitting on the couch. "Hey Sam. Here to tell you the patrol report."

Sam looked up at her. "Hmm would have thought Jacob would be here."

"Yeah." Was all she said. "Well anyway nothing went wrong last night. No vampires stoppd by for a visit." She was about to leave when he spoke.

"Charlie did though."

Whinny stopped and looked at him. "What?"

"Charlie, he paid you a visit."

"Uh yeah he did." Whinny said unsure of what else to say.

"Alright. Well you can start patroling with him from now on. Now leave."

Whinny left the house, running into the woods and racing home. Once at home and out of wolf form she was free to think her thoughts.

'Sam knows more about me and Charlie than I do. WHat is going on?'

She went and took a shower and then got into bed. Thoughts of Charlie filled her mind as she fell asleep.
