TWILIGHT - chapter 12 - BALANCING

I was sorely tempted to ditch the rest of the day, at the very least Gym, but a warning instinct stopped me. I knew that if I disappeared now, Mike and others would assume I was with Edward. And Edward was worried about the time we'd spent together publicly... if things went wrong. I refused to dwell on the last thought, concentrating instead on making things safer for him.
I intuitively knew - and sensed he did, too - that tomorrow would be pivotal. Our relationship couldn't continue to balance, as it did, on the point of a knife. We would fall off one edge or the other, depending entirely upon his decision, or his instincts. My decision was made, made before I'd ever consciously chosen, and I was committed to seeing it through. Because there was nothing more terrifying to me, more excruciating, than the thought of turning away from him. It was an impossibility.
I went to class, feeling dutiful. I couldn't honestly say what happened in Biology; my mind was too preoccupied with thoughts of tomorrow. In Gym, Mike was speaking to me again; he wished me a good time in Seattle. I carefully explained that I'd canceled my trip, worried about my truck.
"Are you going to the dance with Cullen?" he asked, suddenly sulky.
"No, I'm not going to the dance at all."
"What are you doing, then?" he asked, too interested.
My natural urge was to tell him to butt out. Instead, I lied brightly.
"Laundry, and then I have to study for the Trig test or I'm going to fail."
"Is Cullen helping you study?"
"Edward," I emphasized," is not going to help me study. He's gon away somewhere for the weekend." The lies came more naturally than usual, I noted with surprise.
"Oh." He perked up. "You know, you could come to the dance with our group anyway - that would be cool. We'd all dance with you," he promised.
The mental image of Jessica's face made my tone sharper than necessary.
"I'm not going to the dance, Mike, okay?"
"Fine." He sulked again. "I was just offering."
When the school day had finally ended, I walked to the parking lot without enthusiasm. I did not especially want to walk home, but I couldn't see how he would have retrieved my truck. Then again, I was starting to believe that nothing was impossible for him. The latter instinct proved correct - my truck sat in the same space he'd parked his Volvo in this morning. I shook my head, incredulous, as I opened the unlocked door and saw the key in the ignition.
There was a piece of white paper folded on my seat. I got in and closed the door before I unfolded it. Two words were written in his elegant script.

Be safe.

The sound of the truck roaring to life frightened me. I laughed at myself.
When I got home, the handle of the door was locked, the dead bolt unlocked, just as I'd left it this morning. Inside, I went straight to the laundry room. It looked just the same as I'd left it, too. I dug for my jeans and, after finding them, checked the pockets. Empty. Maybe I'd hung my key up after all, I thought, shaking my head.
Following the same instinct that had prompted me to lie to Mike, I called Jessica on the pretense of wishing her luck at the dance. When she offered the same wish for my day with Edward, I told her about the cancellation. She was more disappointed than really necessary for a third-party observer to be. I said goodbye quickly after that.
Charlie was absentminded at dinner, worried over something at work, I guessed, or maybe a basketball game, or maybe he was just really onjoying the lasagna - it was hard to tell with Charlie.
"You know, Dad...," I began, breaking into his reverie.
"What's that, Bell?"
"I think you're right about Seattle. I think I'll wait until Jessica or someone else can go with me."
"Oh," he said, suprised. "Oh, okay. So, do you want me to stay home?"
"No, Dad, don't change your plans. I've got a million things to do... homework, laundry... I need to go to the library and the grocery store. I'll be in and out all day... you go and have fun."
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely, Dad. Besides, the freezer is getting dangerously low on fish - we're down to a two, maybe three years' supply."
"You're sure easy to live with, Bella." He smiled.
"I could say the same thing about you," I said, laughing. The sound of my laughter was off, but he didn't seem to notice. I felt so guitly for deceiving him that I almost took Edward's advice and told him where I would be. Almost.
After dinner, I folded clothes and moved another load through the dryer. Unfortunately it was the kind of job that only keeps hands busy. My mind definitely had too much free time, and it was getting out of control. I fluctuated between anticipation so intense that it was very nearly pain, and an insidious fear that picked at my resolve. I had to keep reminding myself that I'd made my choice, and I wasn't going back on it. I pulled his note out of my pocket much more often than necessary to absorb the two small words he'd written. He wants me to be safe, I told myself again and again. I would just hold on to the faith that, in the end, that desire would win out over the others. And what my other choice - to but him out of my life? Intolerable. Besides, since I'd come to Forks, it really seemed like my life was about him.
But a tiny voice in the back of my mind worried, wondering if it would hurt very much... if it ended badly.
I was relieved when it was late enough to be acceptable for bedtime. I knew I was far too stressed to sleep, so I did something I'd never done before. I deliberately took unnecessary cold medicine - the kind that knocked me out for a good eight hours. I normally wouldn't condone that type of behavior in myself, but tomorrow would be complicated enough without me being loopy from sleep deprivation on top of everything else. While I waited for the drugs to kick in, I dried my clean hair till it was impeccably straight, and fussed over what I would wear tomorrow.
With everything ready for the morning, I finally lay in my bed. I felt hyper; I couldn't stop twitching. I got up and rifled through my shoebox of CDs until I found a collection of Chopin's nocturnes. I put that on very quietly and then lay down again, concentrating on relazing individual parts of my body. Somewhere in the middle of that exercise, the cold pills took effect, and I gladly sank into unconsciousness.

This is Bella dwelling on how her life turned out. It is supposed to be if Alice never saw her jump off the cliff, so they didn't go to the Volturi, Edward is still alive somewhere but she hasn't seen any of the Cullens since her disastrous birthday party. Enjoy!

“Goodnight Mama!”

“Goodnight sweetie, I’ll see you bright and early in the morning, ready for fishing with Grandpa ok? Love you”

I hugged and kissed my two, adorable children and wished them goodnight.

Oh, how big they were getting! Ben was almost eight! How I loved our little Ben, just like his father. The same sun-kissed,...

For all you guys that have been waiting, here's Issue 4! I don't know if it's as good as the others, it;s getting hard to come up with ideas! Please comment and tell which topics/specific ones are your favourites so I can make them better! Love you!

-Bella and Edward should sooo not be together. I thought Bella didn’t like anything cold and wet? Well Edward is certainly ice cold, and he is so soppy he could be the King of wetness.

I so don’t understand why people like Robert Pattinson more than Taylor Lautner, but hey I’m not complaining, it means more Tay-Tay for me-me!

“Ouch, a papercut”...

Everything was ready. Rosalie had styled my hair in lovely cascading curls with silver pins holding them away from my face. Alice had given me a natural look with the make-up. Light foundation, no blusher, long dark eyelashes and a nice pale pink lips. Esme and Sarah helped me into my dress and Rosalie rushed to get my bouquet.
“Is everything sorted?” I asked Esme for the umpteenth time.
“Yes,” she assured me as patient as ever. “Stop worrying.”
I nodded as Sarah tightened the corset of my dress. Esme was crouched down at my feet sorting the many layers of the skirt of the dress....

The threat of Mitchell appearing at any moment to kill us dangled over our heads for the next few weeks. My wedding was coming ever closer and although Rosalie, Alice, Esme and I all poured our hearts into preparing, we knew it probably wouldn’t ever happen. I really did want to marry Edward. I wanted to be his wife and with every day that passed I was getting closer to it but it felt as if I was being teased. As if Mitchell was watching me, letting me get nearer and nearer the date and then he was going to appear and kill me just as it was in reach.
Tess became unbearable. She never left...

Nightmares no Dreams, things I see,
one of them is you,
because we're split in two,
all of my life,
I dreamed to be your wife,
it isn't real,
you don't know how I feel,
it took me so long,
to figure out you're wrong,
I drive down the road,
not knowing where to go,
might as well jump off a cliff,
I have no idea if I'll live,
so now I'm at the bottom of the ocean,
my mind going through all of this confusion,
I have no more air,
I still don't see you anywhere,
but you're trying to save me,
I thought you still hated me,
as my fingers slip through yours,
I now touch the sea floor,
knowing that I won't exsist anymore.
This is a Fanfic I'm working on, called When Worlds Collide. I'm posting the link, hoping everybody will give it a chance.
It has over 10,000 views and almost 300 reviews so far!
In my story, Edward is a smart over achiever, Emmett is in jail, and Bella is a mysterious next door neighbor with some issues.
Edward has to decide if he's going to risk everything for Bella, or if he's going to continue to please everybody around him and forget about her.
It's E/B AU-AH with heavy drama. I hope you take a look at at!!

“Step on it, Emmett,” I growled through clenched teeth. My hands gripped the passenger seat armrests as Emmett sped through the streets of Phoenix. Carlisle, Alice, and Jasper were sitting in the back seat.
Every muscle in my body was tense. If Bella was hurt, if that monster made one move against her . . . When I had arrived at the airport with Carlisle and Emmett, and Alice had told me Bella had vanished, I had prayed that she wasn't going anything stupid, prayed that she had only gone back to the hotel for some reason.
But I knew Bella. She wouldn't have left that airport until I arrived....

End of chapter 1
I decide after my shower to go for a drive, to learn my way around, because we had never lived in Forks before. I claim in and started my 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, I wish I could have had a newer car but we had to blend in. I drove out and decide to go to pick up some food, this was all part of the act, because people did start to notice when you never bought any food.
As I walked into the store the strong sweet smell of vampire hit me like a brick wall.

LOL,I read this in one article :
"Winning the 13th Cycle of America's Next Top Model didn't really change Nicole Fox all that much, because she still remains as awkward as ever. Especially when stumbling upon stars like Robert Pattinson. Caught backstage, Hollywood hotshot a few steps away, what would Bloody Eyeball do?

The CW Source cites a news report from E! Online with this answer: she just bowed her head and walked away. Well, we couldn't possibly expect the dorky redhead to squeal in delight.

Petite model Nicole Fox had just made an appearance at Regis & Kelly when she went behind the...

I shook as the driver pulled up to the sidewalk next to the Ballet Studio. I nodded to the driver, then he took off. The yellow chipped taxi zooming off into the pitch black darkness. I glanced at the doors to the ballet studio. Rigid, old wood framed delicate paned glass. I grasped the rusty old handle and heaved with all my might to open it, expecting it to be heavy. Which it wasn't and I flew backwards. I fell into the door but kept half my balance. I quietly stepped into the studio.
"Bella.. Bella, Bella where are you?"
Mom.
I ran towards her voice in frantic movements. The sound was...

Rotten Tomatoes has a pretty cool article featuring 5 cool facts about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

Fact #1: It’s Darker

The brand new poster for Eclipse (above) hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it’s unsurprising. “Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love,” Taylor Lautner tells RT. “David Slade is perfect for the third film because it’s darker. Eclipse was my favourite book.”

Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn’t just a prince...

Time was always slow with Jake not around. I regretted telling him I would drive myself, I wanted to see him and an hour felt too long. I sprawled myself across the couch, my wet hair dangling over the end. I spent extra long in the shower. I flicked through the channels, my eyes constantly switching back and forth from the television to the clock. I decided to watch some romantic-comedy, I didn't even take notice of the name. As the clock approached five, I went to dry my hair, it was still damp. The butterflies in my stomach returned without an invite. "Go away," I murmured, glancing at my...

The crisp autumn air whirled the leaves around us as I dragged my struggling children out back. I placed them on the ground in front of me staring them down. They were both the same russet color as my wolf, but Sarah held herself differently than my quick-tempered son who was beginning to remind me a bit of his Uncle Paul although I was reluctant to admit it. I looked down at the boy by my side. His hair once a golden colour was now a dirty blond and his bouncy curls were all matted. He held his right arm in his left hand. It was broken and I knew it was very painful for him. He didn’t once whimper or scream or moan in pain. He was very brave.
“Kyo?” I said, quietly.
He looked up at me, his green eyes holding so much intelligence. I saw a flicker of pain cross his pale and dirty face.
“Yes, Father?” he replied, his voice shaking slightly. It was cold outside I knew that but I didn’t think that was the reason his voice shook. We were...

If you're a diehard Twilighter, you might wonder just how different New Moon the film is from the book. Below, are 20 ways the movie deviates from Meyer's tome – and works all the better for it.

Twilight scribe Melissa Rosenberg faced an enormous challenge adapting Stephenie Meyer's 500+ page novel for the screen, but it's clear that the filmmakers chose to remain steadfastly faithful to Meyer's book. Still, for fans, New Moon should feel just authentic enough to drive it toward an enormous opening weekend. So how do Rosenberg's additions, changes, and omissions from the text affect New Moon...
