U2 360 tour
After playing in Portugal at their 360 Tour in early October, U2 was commended by the Portugese fans and media for their spirit and overall having fun on stage. The shows featured some newer songs, including U2's debut of "Boy Falls From the Sky". This song is a track being used in the Broadway stage production of Spiderman: Turn off The Dark. Many older favorites were also played such as "New Years Day", "I Will Follow" and "Pride".

U2 went on to Rome, Italy in the middle of the month of October and again was greeted with open arms. They played one of everyones favorite "All I Want Is You" in just a short version. They also included a debut part of Zucchero's "Senza Una Donna" adding to the end of the song "One".

This concert was the final show in Europe. They will be appearing in Australia starting on Dec. 1 at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne for two nights, Sydney for two nights and Subiaco for two nights. Their tour will begin again in May at the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City before coming to the United States and Canada.

"The power of one man's goodness is like a candle that makes the darkness recede...If every man were a candle there would be no darkness"

Apart from being a great writer/composer Bono and his crew have made such important contributions to public awareness through their art, regarding the social, economic and political needs of third world countries.

There is a need to take responsibility, to take action. A need to unite. A need, Bono says "...to tear down the walls that hold us back inside...to reach out and touch the flame, where the streets have no name..."

I'm unsure if the underlying vision of U2's music will be completely realised in our time but the seeds have truly been sown and to those with whom their music resonates, it's impact will be felt.

"One" is a song about human frailty. It's a song about our fears, our aspirations, our need for hope. In the end, what we do has an effect on everyone and everything around us. We are all interconnected.
