Does anyone have a theory on why William cut his hair?

For me i think he cut his hair because in 2002 he was in the band Remember Maine and he had short hair like today and he was going to Barrington High School. Then when he was in the academy is... he grew out his hair. then cut it when they made the album Fast Times At Barrington High and i think he cut his hair for that reason to go back to the old days or somethin. ya thats just my theory... he might have just cut it cuz he felt like it but idk what do you think? unless you agree
