In the mythical country of Terra, tainted by eternal war, the peaceful city of Skystead was never once involved in the deadly Thousand Year War. Seeing how the war could taint the peaceful city, the gods took Skystead and ripped it from the planet, sending it far into the sky, and above the clouds, making it impossible to be seen from the ground. The gods then gave Skystead a rare jewel known as the Heart of the Gods, which legends said would grant the wish of those who touch it. It was also be used to keep Skystead floating above the earth.
