At the corner of Weinstein st.,
There was a shoe store.
But not just any shoe store.
This one was magic.
When the owner closed up shop,
The shoes would wait until he left,
And the streets were completley empty,
Then something wonderful would happen.
The shoes jumped out of their boxes.
From boots, to sandals, to heels,
All of the shoes would spread eyes, arms, and legs
And they would kick out of their boxes.
They would walk around the store,
And talk to other shoes.
They would throw parties,
And sleep on the benches.
The shoes were very happy
When they were alone in the store.
They would walk and talk,
And want nothing more.
But when the morning came,
At a quarter to 7,
The shoes would fly back
Into their boxes.
The store opens at 8:30,
But the owner came early.
The shoes would run into their box homes,
Just in time for the owner not to see them.
