the second i walked outside i heard Yugi cursing at his puzzle."YUGI YOU LITTLE ****!YOU SON OF A ****ING ****!IM GOING TO TEAR OFF YOUR ***** AND SHOVE THEM RIGHT UP YOUR ***************** AND THEN ************* ON YOUR ****************** WITH******IN THE ************* AND ************** YOUR ************ SO THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO **** SIDEWAYS!" he screamed.i stared in horror as he realized he had just cursed multiple times loudly in public."um...carry on." he ordered as he walked away with scared shifty eyes and a whistle as if nothing happened. i burst out laughing and tried to catch up with him as he turned back into the little Yugi."he cussed at me?" he asked. "yep." i answered with a giggle.
when we got to school i tried to stay near him. we had learned about each other on the ship back to Japan and he said he wanted me to meet his friends, but..."hey guys!" he greeted a group of teenagers. i wanted to hide behind him but he was to short."hi Yugi. who's the chick?" the blond boy greeted. "this is Joy." Yugi explained. "hi." i greeted shyly."hi. I'm joey." the blond greeted me back."I'm tea." the brunette girl greeted."and I'm Tristan." the brunette boy with the pointy hair greeted.i stepped a little closer and my shyness started to fade. i wanted to smile but i was still uncomfortable. after all, it WAS my first day of school.
at class i noticed nobody actually does anything but play card games. Yugi and Joey in particular were playing a game i had never seen. i came over for a closer look after fighting through a small but strong crowd.
"and you know what happens when my Kabuto hits on direct contact!" Yugi bragged as he seemed to be winning."they explode?" joey asked in a taunting mood."exactly! and since there are so many of them thanks to my multiply all your monsters have been destroyed!" Yugi explained."leaving you with no Life Points I'm afraid." he added. Joey dropped his hand in disbelief. "i win again. as usual." Yugi finished with a smirk."wow! he can even use that lame little fur ball to beat five monsters in one turn!" a girl in the crowd cheered. "wait a go, Yugi!" another applaud. everybody clapped for a minute or two then sat back down.
well, that got me curious."how do you play?" i asked out of the blue once everybody but the kids Yugi introduced had sat down. everybody in class had heard me and were just staring in disbelief."I'm not sure I'd be the best person to tell you, Joy." Yugi admitted. "yeah, he'd beat you without even sending out a monster!" one of the girls in the back taunted. "oh yeah?" i taunted back."the same would happen to you, now, wouldn't it?" i asked with a little bit of evil on my face. the girl sunk down into her desk."yes." she admitted. i smiled a real smile for the first time that day since the big Yugi cursed at the little Yugi. i turned back to Little Yugi." and why would that be? it looks like your the best player around." i encouraged him."well..." i looked around trying to see what the others were saying. they were just staring with anticipation. "ok." he said finally with a nod. i sat down and he explained the rules that i needed to follow and that the ones that nobody understood weren't followed. the weird thing was, however, that i understood all the examples."so it's just like pocket monsters." i concluded by thought. "i can do this."
i nodded and went back to my desk."thanks Yugi."i said with smile.i practiced with a deck of Pocket Monster cards.after a while Yugi came over to MY desk. "what's that game?" he asked with a curious stare. "it's called Pocket monsters." i explained. "i guess it's kind of like Duel Monsters. you just play a few cards, do some damage if needed, and let the other person play." i added."can you teach me?" he asked with a hopeful smile. i looked around. "maybe after school." i told him and gestured with my head for him to sit back down. "ok." he accepted.
well, after school i did exactly that. we had a good time and in about an hour Yugi finally beat me. we had a few good laughs and then went back home. we decided that the top of the big hill would be our meeting place. when i got home i told mom everything, ate dinner, and went upstairs and inspected my Millennium Chain. it had a faint glow. it wasn't long before i fell asleep. as for Yugi, well, i don't really know. one thing was for sure: i was going to buy some Duel Monster cards tomorrow.
