Looking around the Fanpop 24 fan page the other day, I discovered a 24 30-day challenge a 24-obsessed user (like me!) Jlhfan624 had started a few years ago. It intrigued me so I thought I would do it....in 24 hours. Here it is:

How did you come about being a fan?

My parents watched it when I was younger and were obsessed with it, I saw the airport scene in Season 5 and it stuck with me, like 10 years later! I remembered the clothes Chloe O'Brian was wearing, everything! I thought it was a just a White House government drama, but I was happy to be wrong. On February 7th, 2017 my mom got sick when we were supposed to be at a school thing and I opened Amazon looking for something to watch, I saw 24 and my brother and I thought "our parents loved this, I'll try it" I became hooked forever. I binge-watched that entire season in one day (as I did with many other seasons) and 24 became one of the best things ever in my life! (In pop culture it definitely is!) Not meaning to be melodramatic, it's just the way this awesome show is!

Favorite season?

It's close between S4 and S5, but S4 is my favorite!

 Favorite male character?

Jack Bauer, is there any other choice?! No words can describe TV's best character.

Favorite female character?

Chloe O'Brian, she's awesome!

Favorite season finale?

I loved the season 4 finale, but I also liked the S1 and S8 finale too.

Best what the heck moment?

Michelle and David dying and especially the Logan and Nina reveals.

What did you think of 24: Redemption?

It was okay. Good bridge to the next season. All 24 is amazing!

Favorite episode?

Out of all that awesomeness?! Gonna have to be by season, but even then its multiple episodes! (Overall I guess it's 2x15)

S1: Ep. 24
S2: Ep. 15
S3: Ep. 15-18 The Hotel!
S4: Ep. 4, 8, and 24
S5: 1, 3, 23, 24
S6: Ep. 1-4
S7: Ep. 1-4, 12-13
S8: Ep. 24
LAD: Ep. 12

What 24 DVD's do you own?

ALL OF THEM! Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Live Another Day and Redemption.

Aside from DVD's, do you own any other 24 merchandise?

I have two Jack Bauer posters, CTU Ultimate Guide, 24 seasons 1 and 2 unofficial guides, almost all the 24 Declassified novels, all the 24 official guides, a phone case, a Bauer Power t-shirt. I plan to keep expanding my collection in the future!

Most emotional moment?

I have to choose?! David, Edgar, Michelle, Ryan, George, Audrey, Teri, Renee's deaths, George and Jack in the plane and Jack's emotional conversations with Kim, when Nina told Jack that Kim was dead and Chloe and Jack at the end of Season 8.

What season had the best music score?

Season 1, 5, 7, and 8. Sean Callery's music was spot-on. Especially when Nina told Jack that Kim was dead.

Favorite couple?

Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler.

Jack's best woman?

Jack picks some great women! Renee Walker would have to be my top choice though.

Favorite duo?

Jack and Chloe, the dream friendship. Then Jack and Tony because they were awesome in S1-S4 and S7.

Favorite villain?

Nina Myers and Sherry Palmer.

Favorite minor character?

Jamey Farrell, Dina Araz, The Warners. I loved just about every character on 24.

Least favorite character?

Charles Logan, Janis Gold, Miles Papazian, Noah Daniels, Cheng Zhi...I hate all of them with a passion!

Unpopular opinion?

I didn't mind Teri's amnesia, I think the whole cougar thing is way over done. I love Sherry and Nina, I liked Season 6 and I didn't like most Presidents, I loved Kim Bauer too!

Favorite subplot?

Ok, I can't decide...by season:

S1: The Palmers and CTU.
S2: The Warners, George Mason.
S3: The Hotel and Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler.
S4: The Araz Family.
S5: The Logan Family.
S6: Chloe and Morris O'Brian.
S7: Tony Almeida and the FBI.
S8: Renee Walker and CTU.

Jack's most epic moment?

So many... The best moment is probably Iron man Jack in S8 though.

What are your 24 movie wishes?

For there to be a movie (A 24 or even a 12 episode season would be even better) in the first place!

It has to have Kiefer Sutherland playing Jack Bauer (as the main character) who has to be taking down terrorists and bad guys while preventing their threats.

I want all the original, main, important, not dead and some maybe dead (Wayne!) characters back, like Mike, Chase, Kim, Aaron, Mandy and all the rest.
Tony, Jack, and Chloe working together.
Taking place in the USA, more specifically L.A. again!
Happier ending.
Real time with ticking clock.
An amazing villain and President.
Long movie.
Maybe a few flashbacks (To date, 24 only had 1 flashback. (see video below)
No new A-list actors and actresses.
Not super liberal please!

Favorite actor/actress, to appear on the show?

Kiefer Sutherland! He's AMAZING!!!!!

Favorite quote?

So many amazing quotes said to and by Jack, but it has to be this Season 2 quote by George Mason: “Come on, Jack, you’ve had a death wish ever since Teri died. The way things have been going for you the past year and a half, this probably doesn’t look like such a bad idea. You get to go out in a blaze of glory, one of the greatest heroes of all time, leave your troubles behind. You still have a life, Jack. You wanna be a real hero, here’s what you do: you get back down there, and you put the pieces together. You find a way to forgive yourself for what happened to your wife. You make things right with your daughter, and you go on serving your country. That’d take some real guts.” I love George Mason!

Runner ups:

Chloe: "Next time do it right. Use a Newman filter so the subject doesn't see red lights flashing everywhere. Amateur."

George Mason: Yeah, yeah. I'm talking to my boss Jack. Right, you stupid chump.

Chloe: "Oh yeah, I'm jealous! Please, won't you stare at my ass as I walk away?"

George Mason: Nice work, Jack. Have you ever noticed there's a body count everywhere you go?

Jack Bauer: Today is the second anniversary of Victor Drazen's death.
George Mason: Happy anniversary!

George: Hey hey. Service is bad enough on this flight, you don't have to shoot me!
Jack Bauer: George what the hell are you doing here?
George: Felt like taking a ride.

Paramedic: I need all of your clothes off, sir!
George Mason: You're not even going to buy me dinner?

Jack Bauer: I have killed two people since midnight, I haven't slept in over 24 hours. So maybe… maybe you should be a little more afraid of me than you are right now.

Jack Bauer: You probably don't think I could force this towel down your throat, but trust me I can. All the way. Except that I'd hold onto this little bit at the end. When your stomach starts to digest the towel, I pull it out. Taking your stomach lining with it. Most people probably take about a week to die. It's very painful.

Jack: I'm gonna need a hacksaw.

Jack: Let's get something straight, kid. The only reason you're still conscious is because I don't want to carry you. Now get in the van.

Jack Bauer: (to Chloe) When you first came to CTU, I never thought it was gonna be you that was gonna cover my back all those years. And I know that everything that you did today was to try to protect me, I know that. Thank you. (Crying my heart out)

Was the series· finale· everything you hoped/expected it to be?

Of 8, no. Maybe it was because I just needed more 24. Live Another Day, it just left it open for more which gave me hope, otherwise, NO!

Where does 24 rank· in your favorite shows of all-time?

This is one of the easiest choices ever, it's #1 and will be forever. It's the best show to ever air on TV and none will even come close in a million years! 24 will always forever be my favorite. I will never, ever, EVER even entertain the thought that any show could possibly have half the greatness of 24, let alone as good or better. It's the best entertainment, my lifelong passion and obsession. Somebody, I knew once said 24 was a boring show, and another said there is no way 24 could be that good and eventually I'll find better shows. That is absolute crap, none could ever compare. 24 is and will always be the best thing  in pop culture!

Favorite Season Premiere?

5, 4, 7, 1, 6, 3, 2, 8

Least favorite subplot?

Sandra Palmer as a human rights lawyer, Noah Daniels, Kim Bauer dating her psychologist, who is 20 years her senior, (Jack should have done something to him, terrible guy.)

Something you would have changed?

Umm..More seasons! Not killing Sherry so soon, more Mandy, David running for reelection, no liberal crap in S6-S8... there a few things I'd like to change, but 24 nailed just about everything!

Best use of the silent clock?

After Teri died, it was so emotional and gripping. #2 would be Season 8's last seconds

When the franchise is over for good, how should it end Jack dead or happy?

Happy! Please, my favorite hero deserves some happiness after all he's sacrificed! If you kill Jack Bauer, I will be so angry!
