The Diesels Strike Back

Important goods go to the Scientific Research Facility on the Island Of Sodor, and some of them are dangerous. Much of these trains are pulled by diesels.

At the Diesel Works, Diesel 10 had a meeting with several other diesels. "What has been happening?" Diesel 10 asked the others.

"Thomas just got out of the steam works, and is the fastest engine on sodor." D261 said. He was the diesel that sucked up an inspector's hat during Stepney's visit to Sir Tophamm Hat's railway.

Arry, and Bert spoke next, "Gordon is going to take a special visitor on a tour of the island in a few days."

"This is all bad!" Diesel 10 shouted, "Is there any good news for us?"

"I've got some good news." said Diesel. "A load of special diesel fuel is bound for the Scientific Research Facility, and I'm to pull it."

"How is that good?" Asked Diesel 10.

"This fuel can make us stronger, and faster. Instead of bringing it there," Diesel answered, "I'll bring the fuel here, but we've got to hide the cars in case anyone tries to find it."

"Brilliant!" Said Diesel 10 in excitement. "We must have that fuel no matter what."

The next day, Diesel was at the docks where he would take the fuel. While waiting for his train to be loaded, Thomas and Duck steamed up. "That fuel you're carrying looks very important." Puffed Thomas.

Diesel didn't say anything. He didn't like Thomas, and he definitely did not like Duck. "I don't think he can pull it though," Laughed Duck.

"Be quiet." Demanded Diesel. His train was loaded, and he left the docks immediately. Thomas, and Duck chuckled, and continued with their work. They didn't know what Diesel was up to.

At the diesel works, the diesels were anxious.

"Where is he?" Splatter asked. "Maybe he crashed." Replied Dodge. "Or maybe," Continued Splatter, "He got caught trying to steal the fuel cars."

"That's enough." exclaimed Diesel 10, "Diesel is on his way here as we speak." And he was. Diesel arrived with the fuel. They hid the freight cars, and all the engines got refueled with the special fuel. Then, they set off to work.

Henry was pulling a train up Gordon's hill when D199 passed by with a train much heavier then Henry's. "Who's the spam can now?" He said happily.

Meanwhile Francesca was shunting cars while Diesel was shunting his cars very fast. "You steamies should retire." Said Diesel, and set off with his train. Francesca was very upset.

Duck, and Oliver were talking when Arry, and Bert pushed them off the rails. Then, the twin diesels left in a flash. "Well, bust my boiler." Duck said. Oliver was cross, "We shouldn't have to put up with this."

The diesels were doing their work quickly, which gave them a lot of time to cause confusion, and delay. When Sir Tophamm Hat got all his engines at Tidmouth Sheds, they had a meeting.

"Those diesels are up to no good again." Said James, "Just look what they did to my paint! One of the diesels pushes a tar wagon into me, and made another car of feathers crash into me." The feathers stuck on the tar that was spilled on James.

"Two of them pushed me, and Oliver off the tracks." Huffed Duck.

"And Diesel didn't deliver the special fuel to the Scientific Research Facility." Nikki told them.

"What do you mean?" Sir Tophamm Hat asked.

"Ah heard one of the workers saying that the fuel wasn't delivered." Nikki replied.

"Hmm. I see." Sir Tophamm Hat was thinking of a plan. "Sean, you're going into the diesel works, and go look for anything suspicious. None of the diesels have seen you before, so you're the perfect choice."

"You got it." Sean answered, and he was just about to leave the sheds, but Sir Tophamm Hat stopped him. "Not yet," He finished, "You will go tomorrow morning. I have a feeling the special fuel cars are being hidden there."
"We're here, chaps!" Exclaimed Stuart as the bus finally made it to Glasgow. Rosie exclaimed upon waking up, "Awesome! We are now in Scotland." "Indeed, we are, darling!" Added Nicholas. They all went out happily and got their instruments and other things. Since the group had booked a hotel room ahead of time for this stop, they decided to proceed there to check in and leave their stuff. After setting up their instruments in the stage, John told the others, "Let's go to the visitor's center to arrange for a tour to the Scottish Highlands tomorrow." Rosie replied, "Sure! That sounds very exciting." Ringo added, "Definitely!" They were then able to reserve it smoothly and invited Stuart to join along as well. Afterwards, the Beatles, Rosie, and Nicholas spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the city square.

Everyone had been enjoying the journey overall. As noon approached, Stuart thought that they should stop for a while to have lunch. Luckily, he spotted a gas station with a restaurant, and he changed the course of the bus so that it'll go there. They then got off, proceeded to the restaurant, and had a very satisfying meal. After paying for their food, the group took some photos around the area before resuming the ride. The Beatles, Rosie, and Nicholas decided to take another nap by the time they got on the road again.

It was time for the tour to continue once again. Rosie, Nicholas, and the Beatles felt rested after a good night's sleep and were all set for their next journey. Stuart greeted them as they returned to the bus and said, "Morning, everyone! I see that you are ready for our ride to Glasgow in Scotland." Rosie replied, "Morning, Stuart! Yes, we sure are." Stuart responded, "Excellent! Did you also buy some souvenirs yesterday?" Nicholas replied, "Certainly. We bought some tumbler bottles, fridge magnets, and a football." "That's lovely." Remarked Stuart. Nicholas nodded in agreement. George then said, "And our bus has been refuelled, has it?" Stuart exclaimed, "Yep! She had a refreshing drink after a visit to the gas station." George replied, "Jolly good! Well, let's get going!" And so, the group placed their stuff back into the compartment, returned inside the bus, and the journey began.

On the other hand, Stuart decided to bring the bus to a nearby gas station and have it refuelled there. As they finished, John asked the others, "Shall we have another exploration and maybe do some shopping around the area?" Rosie replied, "Certainly!" The others nodded in agreement. And that's just what they did while waiting for their next concert to start.

After another smooth ride, everyone finally made it to Sheffield. They then proceeded to have lunch with Stuart joining them once again. As their food was being prepared, Rosie asked him, "So, how long have you been working with National Express, Stuart?" He replied, "I've been working with them for fifteen years now, Rosie." She remarked, "Nice!" Nicholas then asked, "Did you have any other jobs before this one, mate?" Stuart replied, "Yes, I did. I actually used to work as a bartender at a pub in Oxford, which is where I was from." Nicholas remarked, "Veddy cool! You know, Rosie and I went there for a visit two years ago." Stuart said, "How lovely! Did you two enjoy it?" Nicholas replied, "We certainly did." Rosie nodded in agreement. "Splendid!" Exclaimed Stuart. Soon, the food arrived, and the group began chowing down.

The following morning, Rosie, Nicholas, and the Beatles decided to eat breakfast at the inn's restaurant before packing up their things. Then, after checking out, they returned to the bus as the driver was patiently waiting for them. John told him, "Good morning, sir! Thanks again for the lovely room at the inn. We had a great time and rest there." He replied, "Good morning to all of you, too, me fellas! It was my great pleasure. Did you also have a delicious breakfast?" Rosie responded, "We certainly did!" Their ride went very smoothly overall, and the Beatles, Rosie, and Nicholas proceeded to set up their instruments in the outdoor stage of the city square. After doing so, Paul asked the driver, "Would you like to have lunch with us, mate?" He replied, "Certainly! I'd love that. Thanks for the invite!" George said, "You're welcome! We're glad you can join us." The group went to look for a restaurant and had another tasty meal together. Then, they decided to spend the remaining hours with another little exploration of the nearby areas.

After eating a delicious breakfast, Nicholas's parents drove the group back to where the bus was expected to pick them up. As they got off, Nicholas said, "Thanks for letting us stay in my house again, father. We really appreciate it." He replied, "It was our great pleasure, son. Enjoy the rest of your tour!" He then gave them both a tight embrace before they left. Soon, the bus arrived. While they placed their instruments and other stuff back into the compartment, the driver said, "Hey there, chaps! So, our next stops are Manchester and Sheffield, right?" John replied, "That's right, mate." "All righty. Off we go!" Exclaimed the driver. And so, the Beatles, Rosie, and Nicholas boarded, returned to their seats, and relaxed as the ride commenced.

Everyone had a delicious dinner at Nicholas's house. They even had some chocolate pudding for dessert. Afterwards, the Beatles, Rosie, Nicholas, and his parents relaxed in the living room for a while. They shared with them about what happened during their adventures last year. As 11:30 pm approached, they called it a night and got ready for bed. The lads decided to sleep in the couch, while Rosie slept with Nicholas in his bedroom again. Their tour shall continue to unfold when the next story begins.

THE END
After the concert ended, the Beatles, Rosie, and Nicholas packed their instruments up and returned to the pub to drink some water. By that time, most of the fans have already left, except for Nicholas's parents. His father told them, "That concert was bloody magnificent, chaps! We had lots of fun." John smiled and replied, "Thank you veddy much, mate! We enjoyed it, too." Nicholas then hugged them both, and his mother said, "I heard that this concert is the first one in your tour. How was your bus ride?" Rosie replied, "It was great. We had tuna sandwiches for lunch, courtesy of George, and...
