You sit in your seat in chemistry and the bell rings, starting the teacher's lecture. You drone off, about to fall asleep when Randy nudges you a little. You hate it when people wake you up but you quickly shake it off, knowing you barely know the guy to get mad at him. You start taking notes and you just start writing Shawn's name all over the place in different font size and style.
Randy: Who's Shawn?
Jamie: hm?
Randy: Shawn.
Jamie: Oh...oh! *tries to cover the paper*
Randy: *smile* Too late. I already saw. Is he your crush?
Jamie: Oh...um well boyfriend.
Randy: Oh. Oh! Are you talking about Shawn the one who plays basketball?
Jamie: Yah. It's him.
Randy: No way! I didn't know he had a girlfriend. Well not that there's anything wrong with you dating him it's just...well yah. That's cool.
You smile and you finish the day with a good basketball practice. After that you hang out with Shawn again. You have to admit, Shawn and you haven't been as close as before because during the summer, you had to be with your grandma the whole time cuz she's diagnosed with leukemia too. You couldn't hang out with Shawn during the summer and now that you two are hanging out, he seems different.
Jamie: Shawn. Is something wrong?
Shawn: Huh? No. Why?
Jamie: Becuase...we seem a little different now.
Shawn: No. I don't know what you're talking about.
Jamie: Oh...ok then...
Shawn: I'll take you back home.
The car ride is silent and you say bye to him quietly. You walk into your house and you see your grandma asleep on the couch while the TV is on. You sigh and you give a faint smile. You prepare a small bed on the couch for your grandma to be more comfortable. You take out a blanket and you put it over her, then turning off the TV. You go in your room to see Angie sleeping already. You smile and you quickly wash up. You change into your sweats and wife beater for your PJ. You get in bed and you turn off all the lights, preparing for the next day of school...

Raymond: I'm telling you, go for her.
Randy: You guys c'mon. I just got off a relationship with Lauren.
David: Who cares? Your single aren't you?
Randy: So?
Raymond: Just go for her dude.
Randy: She has a boyfriend. Shawn the basketball player.
David: No way! I didn't know that guy had a girlfriend.
Randy: That's why I can't. I mean she's cute and all but she's taken.
