T: hey Bella!
Bella looks at the direction where Travis called her
R: where ya been?
P: what he means is why didn't you go swimming with us.
B: i felt a little... shy (nervous voice)
T: why?
Before Bella could speak the bell rang which soothed her.
B: I'll see you guys at class k?
R: i guess but-
B: great see ya bye!
P: what's wrong with her today?
R: do you feel what i feel Travis?
T: yes love and concern is-
R: tensioned in the air which could only mean one thing.
R,T: Pablo's in love!!!
P: am not now hurry up and get to class!
R,T: oh we forgot!!!
The boys run to the classroom.
Teacher: boys you're just in time. Be thankful you're not late!
The boys apologize to the teacher. Then they sit down.
P: what's with you Bella?
B: it's nothing i just feel a little awkwardness between water and me so shush I'm trying to listen!
P: you're not like this why are you acting so weird?
Bella remembers the time when she left. The time when she "knew" (but she was wrong) that he couldn't trust Pablo. Over the weekend she reminded herself about the incident that had occurred when they were young. Now she's back to her old ways having difficulty to trust him and his friends included.
B: it's nothing that concerns you!
Pablo was shocked about her hasty reply and began to listen. His friends were right though. He fell in love, he thought Bella was the most amazing girl he had ever met. He thought hard not even paying attention to class. What did he do or say that made Bella that way?
P: psst! Richie!
R: what?
P: thank you
R: (confused) okay i guess...
Pablo had thanked him. Richie didn't get it but, Pablo thought of it hard. He had thanked him because of what he had done... he was the one who reunited both Pablo and Bella once again.(if you didn't know this you might want to read the first 2 or 3 chapters) He was so grateful to his friend for what he did. sure she wasn't with the same Bella the mermaid (or so he thought) but, it was okay for him to be with Bella the human.(again he thought) For as long as he had one part for Bella M there would always be a part for Bella H.
At lunch Bella didn't sit with them. instead she sat alone.
T: what happened?
R: it's like she's new again.
Pablo didn't speak or think about it. he kept thinking of the words he had said to Bella to make her feel disappointed.
R: hey did you here me!
P: what was that?
T: are you okay?
P: I'm fine
In Pablo's mind: just... a little.... lonely....
