Do One Sided pairings count as Fanon or Canon?

Because, I need to know before we get to the Fanon pairings and Canon pairing rounds for the Anime Awards.

I never know what to call those types of pairings, because it's kinda canon, because one of the characters love the other.
But fanon, because they are not a couple.

i'm not an authority on this, but i would call it canon. it's not just the fans that put the two together, it was the makers of the show, even if it's not turning out the way one of the members would like it.

guess i'd call it a canon pairing, but a fan couple if they're shown reciprocating. don't know what the general community would call it.
