Yep. Especially since most of the people who hate them just plain out hate them for shipping reasons which is the WORST excuse to hate a character. It's not even just because then wanting 2 guys. It's also like for Lisanna's case,them wanting the main girl to hook up with the main guy.

Just because she's the main character in an APH dating game automatically makes the weeb part of the fanbase call her disgusting names and yell at her. The majority of the female characters get this kind of treatment, but her's is by far the worst. She's such a great girl, it's really not fair.
Sonia! She's such an admirable character, I can't believe that anyone hates her at all! She's a princess, but she's capable of standing up for herself and asserting her ideas when necessary without coming off as impolite or brash. And, for that, part of the fandom says that she's a bitch. They also say that she's an airhead, which is true to a certain extent, but Sonia has proven to know what's best for herself and others and many of her proposals for how they should go about their predicaments in the series or even her beliefs on a moral standpoint I thought were rather profound. She's still "pure" at heart, but you couldn't call her a bad character for it, nor could you accuse her of being "bitchy" for not being a Princess Peach-like character.

She was my favorite in SDR2 and /possibly/ my favorite DR character, overall. It saddens me to see her get hate for being something some anime girls cannot be.
Lisanna Strauss from Fairy Tail. She gets so much hate from a lot of people. Reasons include her "getting in the way of NaLu" and honestly I have seen people call her useless. Lisanna is a warm-hearted person who cares deeply about her family and friends. I see no reason to hate her character at all. Personally I loved it when Lisanna came back.

Natsu held such high feelings for her when she was gone. But then when she came back, he was like "well, I can ignore her now". at least that's what it felt like. wish they would hang out some more and enjoy their special friendship a little.
^ Which is an awful reason seeing as even she told Lucy to stay by Natsu's side. She isn't getting in the way of anything and it's awful that they hate her for shipping reasons.
Shirley Fenette from Code Geass. She was not the best character in the show, and she wasn't even the best female character in the show. However, she was one of the best sub-character style love interests I've seen. She had her comedic moments and while she did get a tad over-the-top sometimes, it always balanced back with how much she truly cared about Lelouch. She was kind, helpful, and seemed genuine which was very different in the show where everyone seems to be lying to each other. The reason I love her so much is a major spoiler, but if anyone has watched and finished the series, you probably know which moment I'm talking about. As a main character, no, she's a bit lacking. However, for the role she got and how she played it, I can't think of real reasons to "hate" her.
To start off with, she's by no means on my favourite character list, and I guess I don't hate her, she's just a bit average to me.

The main reason: "she's useless". Fair enough, pre shippuden she was terrible but she got better later. And then when she actually does something useful people are like "wtf, why is she doing that, she's so out of character at the moment, why does she even bother".
People...people.... she's an easy target for hate, but please give some valid points because otherwise it just comes across as meaningless and mindless hate.
^that's true, I really liked that moment :) But when you put in in perspective regarding pre-shippuden, the amount of times she stands out I could count on one hand, and that's out of a good 200+ episodes. But she proves her self a hell of a lot in the manga now, with her healing and all :)
Nate "Near" River from Death note. I get why people hate him he's unsympathetic towards others (Mello was more accepted I feel because he wasn't as cold) and was a replacement for L. I like him because he's an enigma and honesty he was able to do something no one else could I'm perfectly cool with Near.
People hate on her a lot because she apparently "got in the way of EdWin in the first anime" or something like that. I hate when characters are hated on because they "got in the way" of someone's favorite ship. Rose does not deserve to be hated on. She went through a lot, especially in the first anime. I feel bad for the poor girl. She doesn't deserve any of the hate she gets.
Seychelles(Hetalia)
I really don't know why people hated her. Just because she was paired with the main characters?? And because she was the main character in the game Gakuen Hetalia?? Honestly, I love this girl. I really do. And it makes me sad every time she was insulted by those fangirls who ship yaoi pairings. I ship yaoi pairings, but I'm not that obsessed with them. People thinks that their ship was always the best, so they just insult her and keeps on calling her with bad, awful names. She is my most favorite girl in Hetalia, second to Hungary. I don't think she needs to be hated. She needs more love.
I think Orhime Inuoe gets a LOT of undeserved hate. I mean, yes, she isn't as strong as the other characters and she is a bit silly. But I like her. She tries her best. She tries to stay happy.
And she helps people around her. And even though I'm not a IchiHime shipper; I really think her love for Ichigo is very sweet.
