Anime Question

Who do you usually get as a favorite character in a series? Main Character or Side Characters?

For me that would be the side characters...well,i guess some of them could be considered one of the main characters like Mio from K-on! but Yui is still the very main character,if you think about it...so yeah...anyways, i usually tend to have side characters/other characters as favorites because...i don't know,they're just more interesting for me,i guess and for me they have more catchy backstories,personalities,and overall designs...that,or that most of the main characters in anime i watch are coincidentally dull instead (although that doesn't refer to all of them)...but hey, that's just me...what about you guys?

I usually end up loving the obscure side characters.

But it kind of sucks because that means that my favorite characters don't show up as often or have as much screentime as I want them to :(

For me it depends on the characters themselves rather than just whether their a main or side character because I love main characters like Haruhi from Ouran Highschool Host Club and then their are times where I may like a side character like Rio in Durarara!! for me it just basicially depends on the character.

My list of favorites is split there. Whether or not I like a character depends completely on their personality, development, etcetera. I have no bias towards mains or sides. In my top five I have a protagonist, a side character, two antagonists, and a deurotagonist. It varies.
