CHAPTER -1
ARGO II

i narrowed my eyes as Leo led me towards bunker nine.
'are you sure you're ready to show everyone?' i asked.
'it's ready', he smiled, leading me forward.
i shook m y head impatiently. i unsheathed knife n stared at the blade. it's history was painful. i felt a strange lump in my neck.
'coming?' Leo asked me. 'why did you stop?'
'keep walking Valdez' i said, 'why isn't piper with us?'
'she's getting worse in archery. Chiron insists on practice.'
'and Jason?'
'er, he went to Morpheus's cabin'.
'oh'.
'why are you always thinking so much?' Leo asked me.
'huh?' i asked.
'you're always thinking!'
i flushed. 'no. i'm not always thinking.'
'you're really weird'. he finally lead me to a big forest clearing, and i gasped. towering above us was a massive ship with a head mast of a bronze dragon. it was huge, and the workmanship was amazing. every little detail was clear.
'Leo', i gasped. 'it's amazing.'
'climb up', he said, running up to a rope dangling from the side of the ship. he climbed first and i followed him. i've been on a ship before. the princess Andromeda. i gritted my teeth at the memory. i would NOT think about it. at least not now. the interiors of the ship was good, and the deck was big. it even had a swimming pool, a small cafe, and separate cabins. the Hephaestus cabin had the biggest cabin. they had been working on the ship with my cabin for a long time. i had helped with the designing, but i hadn't seen it being constructed.
'it's great!' i told him, once we were on our way back to camp. i looked at my watch and cursed.
'okay, Leo', i said. 'i need to go and see Rachel'.
'what for?'
i blushed. 'you know, she thought that maybe this time, she would get lucky. you know, about -about Per-Percy'. i closed my eyes. why was it always me? why was my luck always so rotten? why did i always have to face losses? but i would NOT lose my head. there had to be and answer. Hera said there would be. i scowled at the thought of her. that- oops, i can't say everything out aloud. she'll probably zap me. but then, mom always says there's an answer to everything. i would find Percy. but i gritted my teeth again. Jason came here with no memories, and now he has an obvious crush on Piper. what if...? no. it couldn't be. i forced the idea out of my mind.
'okay', i said. 'i'm going to meet Rachel'.
