iOS 5 Final Firmware came to public on 12th of October, 2011. iOS 5 is the most awesome firmware released by Apple. It contains over 200 New and Awesome Features like Notification System, iMessages, Reminders and much more. Followed by the release of iOS 5, iPhone 4S was released by Apple on 14th of October, 2011, two days after the release of iOS 5.

After the release of iOS 5, most of the users must be looking for it's jailbreak. What about jailbreak of iOS 5? Currently iOS 5 can be jailbroken on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, 3G and First Generation iPad. And it is just a tethered jailbreak which means you will have to connect your device to the computer and tethered boot it using redsn0w each and every time you restart your iOS device. iPhone 4S and iPad 2 both do not currently support any jailbreak except for iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3 which was released by a well known hacker named Comex and now he is an employee in Apple Inc.

Currently iPhone Dev-Team is working on iOS 5 Untethered link and they have also managed to Jailbreak iPhone 4S as well as iPad 2 running iOS 5 but they haven't released it yet because the member of the iPhone Dev-Team and a famous hacker named MuscleNerd stated on his twitter account that a lot of work is yet to be done. And on the other hand chornic dev-team is also working on iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak. Pod2g, the member of Chronic Dev-Team, found a bug in iOS 5 which can lead to an Untethered iOS 5 Jailbreak. And he has promised to work hard on it and hopefully would released it in the matter of few weeks. But it would not support iPhone 4S and iPad 2 because that bug would only convert the tethered jailbreak into an untethered one so only those devices which can be tethered jailbroken on iOS 5 would get an untethered jailbreak. So the responsibility of jailbreaking iPhone 4S and iPad 2 lies in the hands of iPhone Dev-Team. It would soon be possible to link
