Artemis Fowl II had his eyes glued to the computer screen in his study. A video filled the whole screen. He watched Elena’s every move. He couldn’t put his finger on it but he knew that this girl was special, magical even. His eyes followed her figure as she out away her new clothes.

Just then, the door handle turned. Artemis quickly exited out of the video and pulled up a webpage about psychology. Butler walked through the doorway.

“Ah Butler,” Artemis said casually. “Did you finish the background check on our new maid?” Butler nodded and handed Artemis a flash drive. Artemis plugged in into his computer and opened the files that read “Elena Williams.” He quickly glanced through the information.

-Elena is very shy and is a little bit of a loner but she has a great personality that attracts everyone around her

-Elena is the best thing that has ever happened to me

-Mrs. Johnson on her deathbed

-Elena is very hardworking

-Mr. Jones

-Elena does not remember anything from age 12-14 and we suspect it may be that she had a painful experience and chose to forget these years because of that.

-Dr. Martin

-Elena takes very good care of those younger than her. She is very caring and nurturing to the young girls.

-Mrs. Anderson at St. Peter’s orphanage

Artemis leaned back in his chair.

“So there is nothing on her from age 12-14?” he asked Butler.

“No, Artemis. As they said, she just disappeared.”

“Hm,” Artemis pondered this new information. “Do you remember last night after we hit her?”

“Yes, Artemis.”

“Did you see what happened to her side?”

“Yes, Artemis.”

“I’m wondering if I should ask Holly about it because Elena is human but she had magic.”

Butler grunted. “Maybe you should wait and see if anything else unusual happens,” he suggested.

“You’re right,” Artemis said. Butler left and Artemis reopened the video of Elena’s room. She had changed and was now brushing her hair.

“What am I doing?” Artemis said to himself. “She is the maid. She is MY maid. What I am doing is not appropriate.” He turned of the computer in frustration.

“No,” he said. “No I will not allow this to happen to myself. I will beat puberty and keep control of my hormones and emotions.” He sighed and stared at his reflection in the dark computer screen.

“I, Artemis Fowl, will NOT fall in love.”

Elena walked down the oak staircase and met Mrs. Fowl at the bottom for the second time that day.

“Okay,” Mrs. Fowl started. “Right now I am going to give you a tour of the house.” As they walked through the manor, Mrs. Fowl pointed out the different rooms.

“There are only four rooms that are used daily,” she explained. “Artemis’s room, the room Mr. Fowl and I sleep in, Artemis’s study, and your room. The rest of the rooms are either guest rooms or living rooms. There is a library in the west wing, a kitchen downstairs, a dining room, and the main family room. There are twelve bathrooms. One in my room, one in your room, one in Artemis’s room, and then three individual ones on each floor.” They returned to the front room. “Your job each day,” Mrs. Fowl continued. “Will be to cook and clean. There is a closet on each floor filled with all the different cleaning supplies. Mr. Fowl, Artemis, and myself will eat almost anything. There are no food allergies in this house, so cook whatever sounds good to you. You will eat with us. Timmy and I regularly go on trips and will be gone multiple days in the month, so most of the time, you will just need to cook for Arty. You will be paid $300 w eek and you get Sundays off. That’s the gist of it, do you have any questions?”

“Yes, um, one, who are Timmy and Arty?” Elena asked.

“Oh those are my pet names for the men in my house. Timmy is my husband and Arty is my son.”

Elena nodded. “And will I be cooking for Butler?”

“Yes, sorry I forgot about Butler,” Mrs. Fowl said.

Elena nodded. “Okay then, thank you. I shall go get started.” Elena turned and started to walk away.

“Oh wait,” Mrs. Fowl called. “One more thing.” Elena turned and Mrs. Fowl walked up to her.

“If you could try and befriend Artemis that would be wonderful,” she whispered into Elena’s ear. “He doesn’t have any friends his age and I’m worried about him.”

Elena nodded. “I’ll try my best, ma’am.”

Okay, so this is cringey.Even in the FIRST BOOK there are signs of star-crossed affection between Artemis and Holly!!!!
you see, Holly thought that Artemis had died and was actually a bit sad, EVEN THOUGH HE JUST FLIPPIN ABDUCTED HER, and then she realized he wasn't dead and still helped his mum regain her sanity, which shows she had sympathy for him.
In the second book, Artemis was thinking about puberty and thinking that he would start accidentally flirting with Holly in a few months.....OH GOD CRINGE OUT!!
In the third book, they actually become proper friends, and Artemis says he wishes he...

Tyler extended his hand towards Lilly. She took it and he helped her up. She saw his muscles ripple as he did so.

“So,” Tyler said. “Do you always try and board ships like that?”

Lilly giggled. A gentle breeze blew his beach blonde hair, perfectly framing his shining green eyes.

“Hey, I’m about to start my break, so I was wondering if you would like to have lunch?” Tyler asked.

“Sure, but it’s my treat,” Lilly said. Tyler opened his mouth to argue but Lilly shook her head. “You saved my life. It’s the least I can do.”

“Fine,” Tyler said, picking up her bag. “Meet...

Hey guys please let me know which ending you like best.

“No!” Elena screamed. She dropped the gun and ran over to where Artemis had collapsed. She felt the chip deactivate. She ripped it out of her forehead and threw it across the room.

Elena picked up Artemis’s head and set it in her lap. Tears poured down her checks. A door on the opposite side of the room whooshed open. Opal floated in with an enormous smile on her face. Elena carefully set Artemis’s head down and stood up.

“You are a monster!’ she yelled, pointing at Koboi. She slowly advanced towards Opal.

“I wouldn’t try anything,”...

Foaly’s face appeared on Artemis’s computer screen.

“What is it, Holly?” he said. “And make it quick.”

“Do you remember Elena Williams?” she asked.

Foaly scratched his head. “Vaguely. Why?”

“Because I think SHE might be after Elena again.”

“Oh no!” Foaly said, his eyes widening.

“Hold on,” Artemis said. “What are you talking about?”

“About four years ago, Opal Koboi kidnapped an orphan girl and hid her in a secret laboratory. She did a lot of different experiments on her. She was apparently trying to find a way to change the genetic make up of a human so that...

After lunch the next day, Elena was cleaning the main living room on the first floor. She had already cleaned everything else and had just finished polishing the old concert piano. She dropped her hands in weariness. Her hands came down on some of the keys, creating an unpleasant combination of notes. Elena flinched. Then, she got an idea. She glanced around to make sure no one would be able to hear.

She sat on the piano bench and lightly placed her hand on the keys. Her fingers found the right notes automatically and she started to sing.
