ET Canada caught up with Avril and chatted about her new record, Goodbye Lullaby.

Here’s what the 26-year-old rocker had to share:

On the emotions explored on Goodbye Lullaby: “It’s an album that I’m really proud of and…yeah, there are a lot of emotions that go on in this record. I would say bittersweet, happy, sad. The overall message is…is about finding inner strength and being strong and getting through that and life is a journey.”

The poll has closed, voting has officially stopped and now it's time to tell you who won our 16th Annual Year-End Readers' Poll.

Avril Lavigne inexplicably took two categories this year. She was voted Canada's sexiest woman, with 53 per cent of the votes, and her "Alice" won for best song, with 26 per cent.

LIGHTS put in some stiff competition for sexiest Canadian woman, racking up 32 per cent, but ultimately couldn't stop Lavigne from taking the category. Hedley's "Hands Up" made a late surge for best song, but it couldn't best Lavigne either, finishing with 15 per cent of the vote.
