Help me clear this up. Please. Does everyone dislike Katie Holmes because...
a) all self-righteous
b) not true to the comic (my a** by the way)
c) in Dawson's Creek and who the heck didn't hate Joey in Dawson's Creek
d) "it's not who you are underneath..." That was pretty stupid. And how she's all shaking her head while it's happening. Lame. I gotcha.
e) The Arkham Asylum scene where she's getting on Crane.
f) I honestly can't think of anything else. Maggie Gyllenhal's cute and everything but they wrote her lines all foolishly. And she drags Eckhart down. I'm telling you kiddies that if Eckhart, when asking Nolan "what's my motivation", had he been able to point to Katie Holmes, there would have been the Aaron Eckhart from "In The Company of Men".
g) Did anyone else go "YEAH!" upon that point in your first viewing of Batman Begins when
--Arkham Asylum appeared and they actually had SCENES in it!
--Victor Zsaz got introduced in the courtroom and then is all smirking at us. Awesome.
--Ra's says "is Ra's Al Ghul immortal". YEAAAAAAAHHHHH!! I was like he's 700 years old, Nolan would have to leave that out but DON'T SOMEHOW! YEAH!
--When I fully realized Crane was the Scarecrow when he was all "would you like to see my mask" and you could hear half the theatre all talking to each other and the other half go "SHHHHHHHHHHHH"
--When Katie Holmes first mentions the word "Falcone" outside the courtroom talking to Crane. I was like THE ROMAN FROM BATMAN ONE!
--And then we see GORDON FOR THE FIRST TIME HE LOOKS JUST LIKE YEAR ONE JUST LIKE THE FRANK MILLER COMICS JUST LIKE HIM! JUST!
--A dude I talked about the movie to afterwards points out that Flass was played by a total slob. That way kids wouldn't think crooked cops were cool considering that Batman's villians are imitated more then any other comic series.
--FREDERICKS!!!!!!!! And even Nolan's proud of himself having Rutger Hauer mention his name in the meeting. That set off half the audience.
