Vilgax releases Ghostfreak from his prison because of a deal they made, but Ghostfreak betrays him and starts to possess the people of Vilgaxia. Vilgax comes to earth to seek Ben's help. Vilgax, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin travel to Vilgaxia to stop him. Ben comes up with a plan for Ghostfreak to possess his body so his DNA will return to the Omnitrix, but Ghostfreak takes over Ben and it is up to Vilgax to save his greatest enemy. Ben unlocks Ghostfreak in this episode.
This episode starts off in space. It set the scene; we know where the episode will be taking place right off the bat. The prison they keep Ghostfreak in is very elaborate; the red and silver guard aliens look human but with armor. Some new variations of aliens would be nice, because lately its just been human knock-offs.
Vilgax's plan was to get the secret of the Omnitrix information from Ghostfreak. If the plan was to get the info, then let him go, I'm not sure why a super-villan like Vilgax needed to keep his word. He could've just got the information he wanted then left. If he didn't though, there wouldn't be an episode, so we are entertained because of his stupidity.
[Note]I have thought that Gwen's outfit looked good, but I have to admit that wearing red with her red hair doesn't look good. People with red hair should wear green, but I understand why Gwen doesn't because Ben wears green. It has just been bugging me lately.
So they are at mini-golf to stop a disgusting, gross alien. When they discovered it, it was thought to be just small and fast, but turned out to be a huge alien. Ew. (My brother said that it was actually bigger before the show showed it. I though my brother was dumb but I can't believe he was right.) While they tried hitting it, Kevin referenced whack-a-mole. How clever. Ben chose humongosaur? Bad choice I beleive for this fight. Swampfire could have been better; or any alien that could have a way of getting underground. He looked like Godzilla stomping around the mini-golf town, ripping up buildings. It was actually a funny little analogy to watch.
*Puns!* We all know this show is made of puns, and there were two in this episode at the mini-golf course. "mole in one" and "wasn't up to par"
When Vilgax crashed into the earth,(it looked like he was an asteroid coming down) the car around the crash site was SO not detailed. It was flat and dull. They should avoid zooms on objects that don't deserve to be looked at closely.
Ben took Vilgax to Burger Shack. He got him a kiddie meal. LOL. I was kind of concerned though that Ben was taking this so lightly. It was good that Gwen pointed it out, but they were totally calm all the way to the resturant? Like-Oh Vilgax is here! Lets take him to Burger Shack! When they decided to help, it is good that Ben said he would go off on Vilgax at any sign of a double-cross. He got serious there; thats a good thing.
They used Ship! Its obvious they would. When they got to Vilgaxia, it was really cute and funny how Kevin told Ship to stay. Then Ship ran off. By this time, we know Vilgax wasn't lying about his story and he really did need Ben's help.
It was also really funny how Ben, Gwen, and Kevin kept calling Vilgax a squid face the whloe show.
Oh my goodness! I was so worried when Kevin almost got possesed! Then the ghost left his body and he said, "Even the freaks don't want me." Then Gwen put her hand on him and said, "Kevin..."
That was a small Gwevin scene!
The little girl Vilgax went to save was voiced by Ashley Johnson! I told them to stop doing that!
The team and Vilgax had to get to Vilgax's castle by a trash choute! Eeeeewwww! Sadly, it was the only suttle way of getting in.
When they get in the castle and its time for Ben's plan, it made sense! Ben's plan to take over Ghostfreak was sensible to a point. The thing is, Ben should have known that he couldn't control bodies as well as Ghostfreak can.
When Ghostfreak is in control, and tries to hit Gwen, Kevin saves her! He ended up on top of her...that's three times he's saved her and been on top of her for the whole series. Gwevin!
Vilgax was happy about Ben and Ghostfreak being in one form. Was that part of Vilgax's plan?
Now about Ghostfreak more. His powers are like telecheniesis on steroids. During the fight after Vilgax is happy about Ben and Ghostfreak, Ghostfreak gets burned by Gwen being thrown into the ceiling plate. If Gwen had enough strength left, she could have tried hitting the plate again and she could've destroyed Ghoatfreak. That wasn't needed though because Ben got a chance to take over Ghostfreak! Ben saved himself, but Gwen and Kevin weren't happy with him. Gwen went to Kevin's side and they walked away together HOLDING HANDS!!!! Gwevin!
It was surprising that Vilgax didn't take the credit for what Ben did. He does have some respect even though he hates Ben.
Ship was making toast and Gwen eventually convinced him to change back. LOLZ, I love Ship. He is so cute.
THE ENDING...
Vigax says that its not over. The secrets of the Omnitrix are now his, and its "a rather auspicious beggining." We'll see him again.
I also think Ghostfreak will come back. He is in the Omnitrix now and there will be some accident where Ben changes into him without wanting to because the Omnitrix it messed up again. That's what I think will happen anyway.
P.S. Ben 10 has Lego! Its totally completely official. Ben 10: Alien Force is epic.
