Grimmjow leapt into the air, avoiding the forward thrust from Ashido's blade. Parrying the next strike, he advanced and attempted a swipe at the Shinigami. Ashido shunpoed and came from behind, but Grimmjow was just as quick and clashed with him again.
'Die, you bastard! This is my territory!!!' Grimmjow snarled, forcing Ashido backwards.
'I'm not interested in that... I just want you gone... Otherwise you'll cause me future trouble... Then I'll just have to do this again.'
'I'm going to cause you future trouble, anyway!!! You keep talking like you're going to win... I'm afraid that you're delusional... I'm stronger than you!'
Ashido ignored him and swung his Zanpakuto again, but, this time, he automatically utilised the special ability of his blade - the ability to manipulate particles, right down to their atomic structure. He wove a net of carbon-based covalent bonds and slowed the Arrancar down. Then, he extracted oxygen from the air, isolated it and then sparked his blade, causing an explosion around Grimmjow. The air was still, debris and smoke floating in the air. Then, Grimmjow re-appeared, an obvious snarl on his face this time.
'I'll make you pay for that! YOU BASTARD!!!'
'Yeah, whatever... Just shut up and fight...'
'That ought to be my line... That's my quip... Just you wait... I'm going to make you sorry you even thought of coming out of hiding... I'll crush you!'
Ashido concentrated his energy, awaiting Grimmjow's assault, which never came, at least, not in the way he had expected it. Instead of a brutal attack, a wave of Bala swept past him and he had to shunpo swiftly to avoid a second wave.
'Cero!'
Ashido realised his mistake, as he heard the sound come from behind him. Grimmjow used the Bala as a distraction, so he could release the more powerful Cero from behind Ashido. All he'd needed to do was use his swift Sonido and presto!
'Damn!!!'
'Haha, you fool! That's what happens when you underestimate me...' Grimmjow laughed, a brutal grin on his sadistic face.
The Cero blasted towards him, not leaving him enough time to try and dodge. Ashido used his Zanpakuto again, creating a massive structure of linked bonds, covalent ones, like in diamonds. The blast hit and the whole structure shook, until, finally it gave way and the Cero exploded around where he was. Except, he wasn't there, anymore. As the Cero hit the wall, he had shunpoed away.
Grimmjow seemed almost amused, compared to the angry snarl he'd worn only moments ago. They glared at each other, until Ashido decided it was time to make a move.
He moved through the air, attacking with his Zanpakuto. Grimmjow blocked and they clashed for a moment, sparks flying off each other's sword. Then, Ashido extracted nitrogen from the air and rapidly catalysed it, until it reacted with the other compounds around it, forming ammonia. In this form it was useless. He then extracted further nitrogen and bound the two together, after forcing the ammonia into an ionic state, which gave it a certain amount of reactivity. The two formed together, causing a mass breakout of ammonium nitrate, a highly volatile chemical. It exploded and they both were caught up in the explosion.
'Grind, Pantera!'
