It’s a good thing Hart Hanson hates spoilers. He’s the creator and executive producer of “Bones,” and when the star of his show, Emily Deschanel, found out she was pregnant, he was one of the first people she told. And yes, he kept the news of her impending blessed event a secret.

Now that Deschanel’s gone public with the news, that’s opened up all kinds of speculation about what might happen to her character, Dr. Temperance Brennan, as the show winds up its sixth season and starts to plan for its just-announced seventh season this fall.

While Hanson’s not about to divulge any secrets about how the pregnancy might be dealt with on the show (he did tell us he’s pitched the network six different scenarios), when he talked to Fox All Access, he expressed a great deal of gratitude to Deschanel for confiding in him, and praised the dedication she’s showed to her fellow cast and crewmates.

BonesMad3 Thats really good he kept it secret, I guess the actors don't give away information and no it was his turn to keep secrets. I am hoping they will write it into Bones but not make it too rushed. Like film the first 5-6 episodes of season 7 quickly before emily shows too much. Then film the last episodes when she is just showing. Then in season 8 emily can wear a bump and have the baby in the early episodes. That way I think B&Bs relationship wont seem rushed. I hope that timeline makes sense. What would everyone else like to see?

alisonfaith297 i kinda actually figured that emily told HH. she probably told micheala and DB and the rest of the cast too. i mean they spent like 16hr days together, the cast probably all knew. but being close friends they kept her secret. i really hope that season 7 will not be curtailed!! i love bones too much. @BonesMad3 your timeline makes sense but i actually would rather they not use emily pregnancy to show that bren is preggers.

BonesMad3 I know what you mean, I am just wondering how they will hide it? Already she is showing. If you think about the irony, if HH had got them together in season 6 like the natural timeline then Emilys pregnancy would have been perfect timing! Grrr I hate HH sometimes!

Broody_4_Cheery oh i so want it written in, there are a million ways they could do it. but it will be crap if they hide her stomach behidn anything they can, its bones, bones would be all like "you'e pregnant because..." blah blah blah.
