Some good science fiction books are the five book series by Madeleine L'Engle. The fist book is A Wrinkle In Time, where a girl named Meg goes on a journey through space and time, with her brother and friend. It won. John Newbery Medal, and helps give references to science facts to boot.
Another series is Tiger's Curse. It's about a girl named Kelsey, who goes on a quest to India with a rare white tiger named Ren,but the journey us much more than she bargained for! These r fantastic stories! Posted over a year ago

I would highly recommend The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, its a modern rewrite of Hamlet, and is really catchy and engaging, once it draws you in, it is really hard to put down!
