I bet you want to know as much as possible about our new winner, don’t you? Yeah, that’s what I thought. So here it is… The interview with a lovely and loyal shipper from this spot - Dani! ENJOY!

1. Would you mind starting by telling us a little something about yourself that we don't know?
Hi, my name is Dani, I love listening to music, my favourite singers are Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. I love reading books! Especially the more mysterious fantasy books such as The Vampire Academy and The Vampire Diaries Series. The first time I watched The Vampire Diaries I hated Damon! LMAO.. He was scary and I thought that he was a jerk. I didn’t trust him at all! But when I kept watching him I absolutely L.O.V.E.D him! I am literally obsessed with The Vampire Diaries! I am also obsessed with Delena- love them more then anything! :P

2. How does it feel to be the new Delena Fan of the Month?
It feels great! As soon as I fell in love with this couple I just turned crazy, I love them heaps and just knowing that everybody thought that I deserved it is an honour. Thanks fangirls!!

3. Why did you start watching The Vampire Diaries, and what made you keep watching it?
I actually wanted to read the books and thought they were great so I wanted to watch the TV Show. But when I did watch it, on TV apparently they were repeats of the first half of season 1, so I guess I was lucky but a tad upset that I didn’t watch it from the beginning, because when it first aired on TV I watched roughly 5 minutes of it and thought it was bad. LOL. I didn’t even give it a chance, but now, of course I am obsessed.
What made me keep watching The Vampire Diaries was the plot, the characters and eventually Damon and Elena.

4. So do tell, what made you first become a Delena shipper and what was it that made your love grow?
Well, I think it was in the episode Haunted 1x07. That episode made me fall in love with Delena AND Damon surprisingly! I just felt the chemistry between them, and especially at the end when Damon offered to help Elena with Jeremy’s memories; I thought that was absolutely amazing! I felt Damon’s humanity and knew that this couple has potential to be epic. I even shed a tear!
My love grew more for them every episode! This couple has got great build-up, and I think my love for them grew more because of it. I think that because all the Damon and Elena fans crave scenes with them but hardly get any scenes with them, that when we DO get them we appreciate it and are more obsessed with the scene way more then some other ships that may have 10 scenes every episode for example.

5. What do you like the most about them as individual characters?
Damon’s charm, sense of humour, his humanity and of course his looks!

The thing I like the most about Elena is her strong determination…She is that determined that she just gets and does whatever she wants!

6. Which place on your favorite TV couples list does Damon and Elena rank at?
#1 all the way! No doubt.

7. What's the thing that makes Delena better or different from other couples? List your reasons for shipping.
First of all, their chemistry is amazing. Elena staring at his lips is just…WOW! Sometimes their connection is so strong I’m at the edge of my seat, because unlike most couples, you can feel the tension coming out of the television! Sometimes they look so connected, that particularly in the first season they looked like they were going to kiss, even though you knew that they wouldn’t. They make us want more.

Build-up. They started off rough, then built up to close friends, and then “enemies” (close enough)… Now Elena is saying how she will get everyone that she cares about killed, including them two (Damon). Let’s face it, this couple is going to have their moments but they’ll also have their tragedy, and the best part of all is after EVERYTHING, they will still be there… They will be endgame and as I’ve been told a few times, ‘Elena will then love Damon for every part of him, even the bad parts’.
I’m not sure if many other couples have this much drama in their lives as D/E will and have, but I sure haven’t seen it.

Damon’s ‘humanity’ and Elena’s ‘fire’, one of my favourite parts. We all can CLEARLY see that Damon’s humanity is the most beautiful part in him, and it ALWAYS happens around Elena! Although Elena, she shows her true colours with him, she becomes determined. She knows what she wants and is more competitive around Damon. If any of you have read the books you will all understand what I mean! Just knowing that we have this mixture of personalities in this couple makes me feel spoilt!

And finally, the actors make a difference. Ian and Nina are spectacular actors! They have so much chemistry and this just adds LOADS more chemistry to Damon and Elena! If they were different actors playing them then I bet they won’t have as much chemistry as them.

8. Given the chance, is there anything about Delena's love story that you would change? Why or why not?
I really don’t think so... I think the love story is going perfectly, and if the love story between them rushes then that will completely ruin the build-up that they have and we all love.
I know some people have been complaining and wishing that Damon never compelled Elena, but truthfully, that’s what made it so GOOD and AMAZING… I don’t regret what Damon had done; I think it was the right thing, especially for the storyline to flow nicely… He proved to everybody how he was the unselfish brother that DESERVES her! Trust me, what he did will pay off, especially later on in the future..

9. Would you rather have different actors playing Damon and Elena or Ian and Nina being a part of a different show not written by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec?
Well if they changed the actors I wouldn’t watch it… so, the other option.

10. Have you ever cried on a Delena scene, if so on which one?
Yes! That scene with Damon expressing his feelings for her and saying that he loves her... I’ve watched it over 15 times and still cried in everyone!

11. Which is your ultimate favourite quote:
- “I just need to say it once, and you need to hear it, I love you Elena. And it’s because I love you that I can’t be selfish with you, I don’t deserve you, but my brother does.. God I wish you didn’t have to forget this, but you do.”
- Damon said to Elena: “There is something going on between the two of us and you know it. And you're lying to me. And you're lying to Stefan. And most of all, you're lying to yourself.”

Despite the fact that sometimes she’d rather knee him in the crotch or run away, or stake his ass, Elena brings out the good in Damon and in many ways Damon brings out the good in Elena. I think sometimes the people who do that to you, you often have the most complicated relationships with

- Kiss: They haven’t had a REAL kiss yet, so I’m routing for one near the end of this season!
- Look: When Elena always stares at his lips and when Damon does the ‘eye thingy’
- Touch: When he cupped Elena’s face in The Return was, that was just cute..

- Episode: My favourites are The Return and Masquerade, but D/E’s episode would be Bloodlines and Rose.

- Emotional moment: The “I love you” scene.
- Saddest moment: In the Return when Damon gets told from both Elena and Katherine that they always have loved Stefan and always will.
- Happiest moment: The road trip!
- Funniest moment: When Damon goes through her draws and pulls out a bra and goes on her bed with her teddy!
- Sexiest moment: The dance scene in 1x19
- Cutest moment: When Damon and Elena flirt with each other in 1x18 and the hug!
- Unexpected moment: ILY.
- Underrated moment: Well ‘maybe’ the “I love you” scene… because when it happened everyone went CRAZY, but then 1-2 episodes later they calmed down more then I had expected..
- Overrated moment: People think the non-touching dance scene was overrated, and I kind of agree in a GOOD way! It was one of the best scenes in season 1!

14. Define Delena in...
- One word: Hot. (I could have probably made a way better sentence, but this sums it all up in a word!)
- One song: Aww.. So many songs remind me of them! Maybe ‘Hate That I Love You’ by Rihanna.
- One movie: No movies remind me of them.
- One color: Purple. It just matches them!
- One season of the year: I wasn’t sure about this one, but DE are firey hot, so I say Summer.
- One object: Elena’s Te-DE Bear!
- One place: Mystic Falls…? LOL I have no imagination!
- One food: Chocolate. LOL. Because I’m a chocoholic!
- One animal: Tiger. Haha.. I don’t even know why!

15. This or that...
- Damon Salvatore or Ian Somerhalder? People would normally choose Ian, but I have always chosen Damon, because he is the BEST.
- Stelena or Bamon? Stelena. But they have more chance for being endgame, so if I picked Bamon, at least I know they’ll never happen… But I’ll still pick Stelena.
- The ILY or the dance scene? ILY.
- Season 1 or season 2? Season 2.
- Evil Damon or human Damon? Human Damon, because he only shows it when he’s with Elena.
- Damon/Rose or Stefan/Caroline AU? Stefan and Caroline
- Delena’s looks or touches? LOOKS! Looks kill… true story :)
- “You and I… We have something. An understanding.” or “There’s something going on between the two of us and you know it.”? “There’s something going on between the two of us and you know it.”
- Angst or flirting? Both… But I love angst!
- Elena’s lips-staring or Damon’s eye-thing? Lip staring.. I love it when Elena actually makes it obvious that he can’t resist him!
- Damon saving Elena or Elena saving Damon? Both!!!! But I like Elena saving Damon, only because she is the one in ‘denial’.

- Best cute scene: Maybe the hug scene! It was adorable..
- Best hot scene: Definitely the dance.
- Best quote: “Me and you, we have something, an understanding.”
- Best episode: Bloodlines, Let the Right One In and Isobel.
- Best anti!stelena moment: When Elena says she can’t be with Stefan in 1x06. I also love how in season 1 and 2, Stefan always assumes that there is something going on between Elena and Damon. It’s like he doesn’t trust her.

*Season 2;
- Best cute scene: In Stefan’s dream, when Damon and Elena kiss!
- Best hot scene: In ‘The Sacrifice’ when they were nearly about to kiss and I also loved how they had a little fight at the end where Elena was trying to push through to see Stefan but Damon wouldn’t let her.
- Best quote: “I need to say it once, you need to hear it, I love you Elena.”
- Best episode: For DE, probably… Rose and The Sacrifice.
- Best anti!stelena moment: When they broke up!!!

17. You can "borrow" one scene from each one of the TVD pairings. Which one do you choose?
- Stefan & Elena: Well, none really. But if I had to choose, it would probably be the ferias wheel scene in Brave New World, I think it would be kind of cute if it were Damon and Elena.
- Matt & Caroline: Well, I didn’t really pay attention to this couple, but maybe the make-out on the couch! LOL… Doesn’t really match Delena but it’s hot.
- Stefan & Katherine: That adorable scene at the end of Memory Lane, when Katherine goes up to Stefan and says “We’ll be together, I promise” and kisses him.
- Damon & Katherine: I wouldn’t mind that full on make-out session in The Return! :)
- Other: Seriously can’t think of any! These were hard to answer and some I wasn’t sure about.

18. What song lyrics, NOT the entire song, just a line or two, fit Delena the best?
I think this is way more then a line or two but… I didn’t know how to explain the lyrics

19. Who would wear the pants in the D/E relationship?
Definitely Elena! Her determination and his weakness for her… She could do or get whatever she wants and order Damon to do anything! I can just imagine it! :)

20. You want to convert a Stelena/Bamon fan into a Delena shipper; what would be your arguments?
If I did have to convert someone to a D/E shipper then I would probably say EVERYTHING and babble on all day about them. This may include, chemistry, relationship, build-up, hotness, humanity, ANYTHING!

21. Put these couples in order of FAIL to perfection: Delena, Steroline, Steferine, Forwood, Stelena, Bamon.

Although I like Staroline they belong there, so don’t get upset wth me guys. I don’t dislike them or anything.

22. Most laughable anti-Delena comment of Stelena and/or Bamon fan?
There are so many but I’ve been told by a Stelena fan that Delena’s build-up was too ‘fast’. I’ve also been told by a Bamon fan that Delena is never going to happen... look at the odds for Bamon happening!

23. Biggest slap in the face to Stelena shippers?
Well I remember them freaking out at one stage, but I forgot what for. But now that I think about it, 2x11 will definitely be a tragedy for S/E shippers because S/K are by themselves in the tomb doing ‘everybody knows what’, and D/E are left together! Damon promised to protect her, which therefore means that he will be with her for most, if not, all the scenes with Elena! S/E fans would be freaking!

24. Stelena fans have found a way to steal a Delena scene. Which one do you protect with your life?!
“I love you” scene! They can NEVER take that away from me!!!

25. Stelena fans love to chant these things, what is your retort to each?
- The good girl deserves the good guy: Who said that Stefan was a ‘good’ guy? I think that everybody can agree that Stefan isn’t perfect! He’s definitely selfish and it proves with him and Katherine in 1864. And I’m sorry, but isn’t he the one that is going to have tomb sex with Katherine in the next episode and cheat on Elena? I know people have been saying that Stefan isn’t cheating on Elena, because they broke up, but they still love each other, and it’s no excuse for Stefan to do that, Elena wouldn’t do it to Damon (yet)! Damon can be just as ‘good’ guy as Stefan, even better! Deep down inside, Damon is unable to express his feelings because of his little brother. He has sacrificed Elena to make her and Stefan happy! I could rage on all day trying to answer this question because I believe that Damon IS the good guy… So I guess that Stelena fans have obviously converted to D/E, because I don’t know what they’re talking about!

- The story has started with Stefan/Elena, so it needs to end with them as well: Well that would be the most predictable thing ever! You’d might as well not watch it if you knew after EVERYTHING, all the scenes, S/E will end together! I think that S/E fans should wake up from this daydream they’re in and understand that it’s 50/50 chance! D/E are and have had magical, emotional and special scenes together, because if they didn’t then I would gladly handover S/E as endgame, obviously the majority of the fan base have realised too that D/E are more craved for… so the odds could turn anytime S/E fans!

- Damon is the one who fell for Elena only because she's a doppelganger of Katherine: Are you serious? I’m sorry, but wasn’t it STEFAN who ‘stalked’ her because she looked like Katherine? Lets face it, Stefan would have only ever noticed Elena because how identical she looked to Katherine. I think that Stefan would have loved Elena even if she was a psychotic b***h like Katherine.. he did tell Katherine he loved her remember? On the other hand, Damon at the start maybe had a little emotion for Elena because of the looks, but he didn’t SHOW it, he kept it in because at the time he loved Katherine, not Elena. Once Damon had actually spent time and got to know Elena, he obviously developed feelings for her… In season 2 he HATES Katherine, but just because he hates Katherine doesn’t mean that he hates Elena too (Stefan still has feelings for Katherine). They are 2 different people to Damon. I personally think that S/E have to review their information, because Stefan obviously fell for Elena because she looked like Katherine, not Damon.

26. What’s your favourite part of shipping Delena?
Just EVERYTHING! It’s the most amazing thing ever! I think that although the producers may not want D/E endgame, they are making the storyline amazing, that Damon and Elena have the potential at the end to be together. I love watching their journey, I take it way beyond a TV show and treat it like a real life thing!

27. Do you care for Nina/Ian’s relationship in real life?
I do actually! They’re so CUTE! They have so much chemistry… Ian always touches her and Nina always blushes and giggles. They are really close friends, but I don’t really mind if they’re just friends or a couple. Eventually it would be nice to see them going out, but it’s their lives and if they are good friends, they are lucky to have each other.

28. Would you say you're an obsessed or just a casual fan of this couple?
Obsessed!

29. If Damon and Elena didn't get the endgame, what would be the perfect ending for them?
I’ve always thought that if Damon sacrificed his life for Elena, it would be one of the most wonderful but DEVISTATING things ever… but I really wouldn’t want it to happen. I am pretty convinced they will be endgame but if they weren’t endgame I think that maybe if Damon does this, then it will prove something, and it will make the couple way more epic then it was before… It’s either that or they would be very close friends, but I don’t think that would work, because they will get distracted.

All up I think they WILL be endgame, so I don’t need to worry about the negatives. (:
