I glimpsed a quick glance to my right and left. I felt a warm mass jump onto my chest. It-it felt so-so warm...Thought Dan. He opened his eyes to a very furry Mr. Mumbles. Dan smirked at his very feline friend and petted her. But suddenly I was jolted from my laze by the phone's constant ring. I felt over the bedside table and finally gripped the phone. "What?!" He yelled,as He was annoyed by the disturbance the person on the other end of the phone brought. "Uh,it's me,Chris." Muttered the man. "I didn't doubt that it wasn't you,Chris. Now tell me why you are calling my at this stupid hour!" Chris sighed. "It's two in the afternoon,Dan! You weren't up?" Dan gave Chris a silent telepathic glare. "Fine," said Chris. "I need you to come over. I've got something to show you." Chris had a muffle in his voice as if he was eating something. "Fine!" Dan threw his cover off and smacked the phone down. An confused Mr. Mumbles stared up at Dan. "I'm afraid Chris has come crying to me again," Explained Dan to his cat. "He'd die without me," said Dan in a very comforted voice. Mr. Mumbles smiled as if she approved.
At Chris' house Dan walked in on Chris' munching session. "What did you need me for?!" Yelled Dan. Chris mumbled because he had food in his mouth and then swallowed very obviously. "I need y-you to look in the backyard." He stammered. "Whatever." Dan walked to the back door and opened it. His eyes widened. There was a foaming,hungry,and quite large Possum. It was in a cage though but Dan was frozen in his tracks. The cage's bars had drool all over them from...rabies possibly. Dan stumbled back and happened to bump into Chris. "A sight,isn't it?" Chris smiled,as if it had been a Unicorn. "Are you out of your tiny mind?!" Dan exclaimed. "That thing is fiercer then The Devourer!" Chris smirked and stepped over to the cage. "Elise thinks it's a new animal!" "That thing just looks like a disfigured possum." Dan grimaced. "To your point of view,it might." "Ugh." Dan groaned. He knew he had gotten himself into a world of stupidity.
