This starts the second half of Chains of Affection. Hope you are reading this, Serenna!
Twilight Town: Jason was feeling down. His family had taken him our to eat at an outdoor restaurant, but just like the past six months, he just couldn't stop thinking about Larxene. It was hard to believe this was the same Nobody he despised when he first met her, but there you have it. "Come on, little brother. Don't look so down." Jason managed a weak smile. In four days, Kingdom Hearts was going to be complete. So he had that to look forward to. «I wonder what Zexion's been up to? Where'd Serenna go, for that matter? I haven't seen her all week.» If only he knew. The family ordered drinks from a bubbly redheaded waitress, who brought them back in record time. Eileen proposed a toast. "To Jason! Let's hope true love finds him." The family downed their drinks, then fell unconscious. The redheaded waitress approached the sleeping family. She shimmered briefly, then revealed herself to be Larxene, with the most wicked smile on her face.
Castle Oblivion, twelfth basement floor: Jason slowly roused himself. The first thing he saw was Larxene's sadistically grinning face. "Oh hey, Larx. Good–oh no." She punched Jason in gut and he went flying across the room. "That's right. You almost got away with it too. So sad. But now, you must suffer the consequences." Larxene gestured to a monitor someone had installed in the pure white walls. It showed the first floor of Castle Oblivion, which currently showed Jason's family, bound and gagged. Serenna and Zexion were also there. After a few seconds, the monitor shut off. "This whole thing was actually Xenmas's idea, but I'll be sure to make you suffer on the way for lying to me." Jason looked straight at her. "I get it, just tell me what I have to do." Larxene gave her high-pitched giggle. "Direct as always…this is so simple even a moron like you could get it. All you have to do is clear all the basement floors, then you can be the hero." Her hand stopped in mid gesture. "But there's a catch. If you can't do it in three days, when Kingdom Hearts completes, you will lose everything precious in your life." "Can I cash in what little favor I have left with you, Larx?" Jason asked tenativly. It looked like she hadn't heard him, but then she punched her fist right through Jason's heart. When she took it out, there was no hole of any kind. But Larxene now held two cards in her hand, a blue World Card and a gold card with her face on it. She threw them both to Jason, who caught them. "Use the gold card if you need my help, and I'll consider it." Jason nodded. "I'm sorry I lied to you. I will make it up to you." Larxene didn't say anything, just vanished. Jason used the World card and went right through the door.
First floor: Zexion and Serenna woke up at about the same time. "I bet you regret the choice you made," he muttered. Serenna shook her head. "I'll never regret loving you."
The first floor had changed drastically. Now an entire wall had been taken up by twelve monitors, each displaying a different member of Organization XIII. Larxene faced this array of monitors, her back to the hostages. "What is this plan of yours?" Larxene asked the monitor displaying Xenmas. "None of your concern." he drawled in response. Xion spoke up, "Jason will never get past me anyway."
Unknown Basement floor: Marluxia felt a sudden presence in the room. He turned around to find a figure cloaked in an Organization cloak. "Who are you?" he asked. The figure didn't respond. Instead, it dissolved into a heart and sank into Marluxia's flesh.
That begins it! Take a wild guess as to who's behind the cloak. See you next time!
