Disney Princess Article: Best DP eyes :)

I rate eyes based on how well they look, how they fit the face, what color they are, how they fit with the overall looks and so on... Plus this is my first article :D
So lets start:

10. Cinderella
This may come as a shocker for some. They are so blue and they looks weird. All my attention falls on her lips and the shape of her face rather that her eyes. I feel like "hmm, wow those eyes. Got to look away, ugh very blue, i might be blind after"

9. Snow White
Her eyes are the best feature in her face. No wait her lashes are the best :D. Those light brown eyes are so pretty. Looks amazing on her face, but i still think a different eye color would fave looked better with her hair.

8. Aurora
Her eyes change color!!! Plus they are purple, they are purple... Like in the wood scenes they look brown, almost black and every where else they were purple.

7. Repunzel
Again might be a shocker :D but her eyes are to big. They make her looks like she is 10 but suppose she is 18, so yeah... The only good thing that they are green.

6. Mulan
And again might be a shocker that she is so high. The only this i can say is that she is from China! She is suppose to have small eyes. It's really great that the artist didn't make a bug-eyed b**** that just happens to live in China. They wanted a hero and that they have with culturally fitting eyes (if that makes sense).

5. Pocahontas
Very soulful eyes. You can see how grown up she is but they are a little bit to small. If she had bigger eyes the face wouldn't seem so big (well at least for me).

4. Ariel
Very pretty eyes. But they are so cartoony. But her eye color works great with her red hair. But most of the film the eyes make her look like she is 14. I don't know how old is she, soo... I like them, they are pretty :D

3. Tiana
Amazing brown eyes. They work great with her skin tone. They have a spark in them, animated greatly. I have nothing to say really but that they are amazing and pretty :D

2. Jasmine
Amazing, flirty eyes. They make her look like an exotic alien :D but they look still amazing. I have nothing much to say except they are great and they fit her personality.

1. Belle
Her eyes make her look like a doll. So pretty, make her looks intelligent but not old :D i just love that. Amazing color, hazel is it? Amazing, that all :D Look at it your self :)

But Belles eye aren't the most beautiful :D

Mongoose09 Really good article, especially since it's your first. :) I don't really agree with much of it, e.g. Cinderella & Aurora are my top two, but I like your list. I never really say this much about Ariel but that shot of her is absolutely GORGEOUS. <3

Purpledolphin I think Rapunzel has the prettiest eyes even despite the fact that there is mostly not good pictures of them. I think Aurora comes in second. Anyway good article.

BelleAnastasia I agree with most of the rankings! I love your top 2, Belle and Jasmine are really high on my DP eyes list. I would put Rapunzel slightly higher, and Mulan slightly lower. Also the changing eye color of Aurora's eyes actually makes me not liking them! Overall good job!

Summer_Leanne I disagree with all, except Belle's because I love her : ) You need to think about WHY their eyes are like that rather than how beautiful they make the princess look, because eyes are not about beauty..they are, instead, for communicating about one's soul. Nice article nonetheless : )

TigerRanma Oh my goodness. I love that picture of Mulan. That is where I think she is looks her best. She's just so cute in that shot. I don't know why I like her better there than in the rest of the movie. Maybe it's the way her hair falls? *shrugs* And I actually like her lips in that shot than in the rest of the movie too. In the rest of the movie, they look different. We have the same top 3 eyes. Woot! I wish I could love Rapunzel's eyes because they're green but the size kills it for me. I'm confused that you put Belle's eyes at number 1 but you say they're not the most beautiful. Why is that? And who do you think has the beautiful?

TigerRanma You know, I would say the same thing because she's one of the couple Disney heroines with green eyes. But come to think of it, I don't really like their shape or her eyelashes that much. I think Belle's are drawn better. That's just me. I guess the only ones I like with the one eyelash thing are Jasmine and Tiana because they have a sort of cat-eye thing going on.

Since nobody had done this, I thought that I could write this article since I love Enya's songs!

1) Fairytale

The 3 classic princesses will definitely love this song, as the title says it all. The music is very soothing and yet at the same time mesmerizing!

2) Wild Child

Ariel and Jasmine are considered fiercely independent, so this song suits their spunky background!

3) Anywhere Is

Belle wants adventure, so this energetic song suits her. Especially during the 'Belle Reprise' scene!

4) Memory of Trees

Since Pocahontas is an environmentalist, this sad song will be good and I would imagine her...

This is my updated princess fan list. The biggest change is a swap-out/trade-placements of two princesses. These are my opinions. I will explain as I go.

1. Mulan
I’ll probably be a fan of her my whole life. She’s the most sacrificial character in the whole Disney Princess lineup, and I can’t help admiring her for overcoming her numerous flaws. Mulan is a convincing heroine, and her humaneness is something that I find missing in some of the Revival Era girls.

Why I Think An Original Princess Should Be the First Gay DP

So, with this topic on whether or not Elsa should be gay has been very popular over the internet, I felt it was time to tell you my opinion on this topic.

Before you get disgusted with me or anything, I have no problem with the LGBT community. In fact, my best friend is gay, and we often talk about boys and "ship" each other.

Now, there are a lot of reasons I think Disney should wait and make an original gay princess instead of making Elsa gay, I mean the main reason is I see Elsa as having no interest in romance- whether it's a male or female. I would much rather have a sequel centering around...

So, I have been hearing from many people over their disagreements about Emma Watson's casting as Belle. So, I thought that I would write this article about it if she wasn't cast at all, first no hard feelings to any Emma Watson fans out there (including myself) or to the actress herself. I first heard her sing in Les Miserables, she blew everybody away with her rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream', she's a marvelous singer in her own rights and I'm glad she's a talented actress!

Let it Go: Lea Salonga vs Idina Menzel

Who's singing voice do you choose? Jasmine?

So, this song has been covered by a few artists, like Lucy Hale by turning it into a country version. Then, another Disney star sang it, it is none other than Lea Salonga herself! Are you ready for a battle between Team Salonga and Team Menzel? Here we go!

Idina Menzel

While I enjoy her version, she's a bit pitchy in certain parts. Although at some parts she's very emotional and I like that, because she's very ominous like Elsa and I'm glad that I like her version.

Lea Salonga

Many of you know that she was the singing voice of Mulan and Jasmine, when I heard her version. I thought that she sounds even better than Idina! I would not actually mind her voicing Elsa anyway.
But I guess that they don't want Elsa to sound like Jasmine and Mulan!

Conclusion

While both of them are good singers, I would say that Lea is the best singer out of these two!

My Version Of Disney Princess 12 Days of Christmas

Since it isn't so much left until Christmas I decided to write a few articles here on that theme, not sure how many I'll do, but here's the first one. You may not remember this song, but link in case you haven't heard the song. Anyway originally the song had the 6 first Disney Princesses singing the song, but I decided to redo the song a bit by adding 6 new princesses and their parts has new lyrics. Updated ranking of the DP movies

12. Brave- I despise this movie I really don't like Merida. While she may be a strong I think she is just rude and annoying. The film is so forgettable. I haven't seen the film in about 4 years and I don't plan on seeing it again.

Inspired by link, who did an amazing job(! <3), I really wanted to do my own version with favorite Openings. I actually really love the original fairy tale concept of the Disney Princesses and I love the openings that give a more magical and fairy tale kind of feel. (By the way, I am primarily trying to stick to the first 2-4 minutes.) So here is my ranking of the DP film openings, I hope you guys enjoy this light read! :D

My top 10 favorite songs from DP movies

Here's my quick top10 favorites of Disney Princess movie songs. I get stuck to a new tune or lyrics far easily, if its hummable and peppy especially. I like listening to songs and don't have particular fixed tastes in genres. Though i find, i tend to gravitate towards pop, rock and Indian music. Very rarely I enjoy classical music, although some that I love become my all time favorites and they don't die-out. I guess that's how classic music is. Anyways, this is my current list of top 10 favrorites songs from DP movies, it keeps changing for sure as I move onto newer songs.

The Classics (& Such DPs) Are Unrealistic....

.... Or Are They? I keep hearing this massive distortion that Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and sometimes others are "unrealistically perfect". Well first of all, they're not actually "perfect" but yes they strive for it and come pretty close. The number one reason? The earlier DPs were made in a time where families were still valued as well as good morals and they were on their best behavior in front of children, hoping that the kids would learn to embrace positive traits and reject negative traits so they would be more positive people. They cared more about well-roundedness, being modest...

Okay, so I have come across a lot of criticism against Merida that she is childish, rude, reckless, selfish and what not. But since she's my 2nd favorite princess, i'd like to put up a case in her favor for people to consider and see her in better light. I have tried to dissect the movie scenes, probed into possible perspective on various minor details that may have been overlooked.

Why she isn't sophisticated as others:
She no doubt loves both her mother and father, but Merida takes off a part of feisty, loud and unapologetically honest side from her father. She loves to fight with him, laughing...

The saddest moments from DP movies that made me cry and most often they still do. Some are close to heart while some are so well enacted and animated that i'm moved by the simplicity of emotions.

13. 3 good fairies put the entire kingdom to sleep:
Despite their best of efforts, they lose Aurora to the spell and the only way to make things work is to put the entire kingdom to sleep, waking only when she awakens. It makes me sad to see them blame themselves for this loss. It doesn't make me cry though, but yes, it puts me in a sad mood.
