My personal list:

10. Pocahontas & John Smith

Sorry for some more Pocahontas bashing, I am not doing it on purpose. They're the only couple I'm not fond of at all. The relationship only seems passionate to me. John Smith's fast change of mind wasn't believable at all. A lot of scenes were awkward for me to watch. Like when Kocoum saw John & Poca kissing and when she admitted she loved John to everyone at the worst time possible. Plus, John Smith would've shot Pocahontas if she wasn't beautiful. I just see them as two hot people who lust over each other and John Smith doesn't even bring out anything out of Pocahontas anyway.

9. Charming & Cinderella

I liked how rude Charming was to the other girls at the ball because it works in a relationship. They both make each other very happy but they're definitely one of the weakest couples out of the bunch. In Cinderella's bad situation, I think she would've settle down for almost anyone. But I do not believe Charming fell for Cinderella merely for her appearance. Couldn't he have chosen any other attractive girl before he even saw Cinderella? To sum it up, I don't think I love this couple as a whole, I just loved that Charming put Cinderella out of her miserable life.

8. Naveen & Tiana

Sure they learn from one another but the problem is that things happened way too fast in this movie for me to root for this couple. Also Naveen's change from being a player to a one-woman's man wasn't very believable to me. However, I loved the scene where Naveen was trying to propose to Tiana, that was adorable. I wouldn't call them a great couple but they have funny moments together.

7. Ariel & Eric

I think Part of Your World Reprise is one of my favorite romantic scenes in DP movies. This couple is cute, really cute, their relationship is what most young girls dream about. Eric's looking for the right girl and he has his mind set on marrying her.The problem is that they're not that developed as a couple when they're supposed to be, isn't that the point of Renaissance couples? I also don't like that Ariel was chasing Eric down. But I really do love this couple, there are just things that restrain me from putting them higher than some of the couples listed.

6. Belle & Beast

I used to have them higher but reading other people's comments about these two made me change my list. It's not about the Stockholm syndrome thing, I think that's ridiculous. Belle does not suffer from it. Beast started to become more gentle and that is obviously what really made her stay. I don't really like how he changed for her though. Not that they have to accept each other for who they are but I'm not too keen about the idea of changing for your mate. I like how they get to know each other and how Beast gives her a huge library, win! Plus, the ending scene got me pretty emotional. I think they have the most interesting love story, it's really touching.

5. Snow White & Prince

They just met and fell in love but it looks as if they were meant for each other. Prince is a hopeless romantic and I love it when he serenades Snow White. I love the ending when Prince was looking for her for who knows how long. How devastated he looked when he saw Snow White dead and how joyful he looked when she woke up. They are super sweet and cute together.

4. Mulan & Shang

I've said this before so I'll just copy and paste some of it, I feel like people misunderstand Mulan & Shang as a couple because honestly, that's just how Asians are in relationships. They balance each other out, they're not as good without one another. They're the ones who knew each other the longest and were actually friends. They went through a whole lot together and Shang changing his views was actually believable to me. Their relationship might not be as romantic but I believe it would last. I love how inexperienced Shang is and how slow they take it to the next level.

3. Aurora & Phillip

This is a great couple. Phillip was willing to give up his throne to marry the ''peasant'' Aurora. He slayed a dragon and then saved her from eternal sleep. Aurora never stopped thinking about him and I love how diligent Phillip was. I know it's a double standard to think it's good when the man does all of that work. But honestly, I just think it's much better that way, especially in a classic fairy tale.

2. Rapunzel & Flynn

I love the character development between Rapunzel and Flynn, I believe it is true love. They bring the best out of each other and they help each other find their way. I admire their respect for one another. He was willing to give up his life for Rapunzel's freedom, he actually cares for Rapunzel as a person, he doesn't just want to be with her.

1. Jasmine & Aladdin

To me, these two just work really well together and they have great chemistry. Yes, they fell in love quickly but I think their relationship is believable. Jasmine has high standards and she still loved Aladdin for who he was. Even though some may think the love they share is fatuous, they're undoubtedly much less despondent when together. I think Aladdin learned a lot because he sacrificed so much to be with Jasmine but understood how to make things right towards the end. I'll add that the balcony kiss is my favorite DP kiss.
