Chapter 2: The Damsel In Distress
It was afternoon in a lovely Chinese palace where Mulan lived with her parents, her parents dreamed of seeing Mulan performing some material arts though they did love their daughter very much despite that and Mulan had always promised them that one day she would show them what she could do. But the problem was that she was scared of killing or even hurt other people no matter how evil they where, if they where trying to attack her she would just try to hide and act like a damsel in distress.

But at the same time she loved her parents so much that she had never done a selfish act in her whole life, today she would do another one, do some material arts for her parents just so they could see if she did it well or not

Mulan was nervous for this since she had failed at it the previous times she had tried and therefore she didn't have a lot of self confidence this day, but she was going to do it to make her parents happy

She practiced so many times, but she ended up failing all of the times, she was not even close at being flawless, but after 10 tries she decided to show off her skills to her parents so she called on them to come out to the garden

She was expecting them to just be a public, but her father played an enemy to make it harder for Mulan and she couldn't help, but to act like a damsel in distress, she tried to hit him a couple of times, but ended up being scared because of her act. Her mother just sat down and looked up at first, but the more Mulan failed the more her mother began to look down to the ground below because she didn't like seeing her daughter failing

After about 10 minutes they had to stop because Mulan had tears in her eyes and was so terrified of her father that she just wanted to be with her mother the rest of the day and so her mother decided to talk with Mulan alone:
"Mulan, I really love you, but it hurts to see you failing at material arts and just act like a damsel in distress, sure you tried to hit your father a few times, but it was far away from being perfect hits", her mother told her
"Don't ever mention my father again, I'm so scared of him that I don't want to see him again until I feel brave enough", Mulan replied still teary eyed and terrified
"No, I won't, in fact there's something else I want to tell you that I should've told you much earlier, your name is not Mulan, it's Ming Na and you're not a princess, you come from a world far away from here", her mother said with a sad, but calming voice
"Now I understand why I've never been great at material arts, but it feels weird, I've been living here my entire life and now I have to leave to find my real parents whom I've never met", Mulan replied with a much calmer voice

That evening she had a hard time sleeping, but at last she fell asleep and slept the whole night and the next morning she left her home to find her real home

Here is an article I wrote expressing my opinions on the 3D animated Disney Princesses and how they are in their featured films of Tangled, Brave, Frozen, and Moana. Since Raya and the Last Dragon is coming out on Saturday, I'll try to do an article on her too to see if she's another one of our favorite badass heroines? Or just a damsel in distress waiting to be saved. But anyway, let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?

5. Rapunzel

When I was little and the first trailer for Tangled was advertising showing another badass heroine who can fight and somewhat heal people's wounds and injuries with...

Hello Disney Princess Fans!

First let me apologize for being so bit late getting the article up this time, and explain what happened. Along with the business of the holiday season there was a family emergency. In mid-January my Dad came down with Covid-19 and had to be hospitalized for over a week. Fortunately he's back home and doing better now. But as you can imagine I didn't feel much like writing, nor did I have the time while that was going on.

Anyway, before we get started let me give you a brief run down of the Meet the DP Fans articles, in case you happen to new to the club and/or unfamiliar...

A year ago I played around with Google translate a lot and made a few hilarious articles about it. Google Translate meets the Disney Princesses style. This article is Part 2 of Google Translate Explains Princess Personalities. The first article below features: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine.

link

This article features: Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida and Moana.

I copy and pasted the information from Disney Wikipedia.

Pocahontas

Pocahontas is displayed as a noble, free-spirited, and highly spiritual young woman. She expresses wisdom beyond her years and offers...

I love how hardworking she is and I love how she doesn't take shiz from ANYONE, not even from a prince. -BB2010

Her determination. And I would love to taste one of her dishes. -Swanpride

Probably just her perseverance. -wavesurf

Probably that she's allowed to have both a warm doting side as well as a take-no-crap one. It's a nice mixture. I also love that her whole reason for working so hard is to fulfill James' dream of owning a restaurant. She is truly a family girl and has a lot of love for her parents, and her loyalty to her dad is so touching. -AudreyFreak

I love how she is very hard working...

Hey, guys! Happy beginning of Autumn! Anyway, a few weeks ago, I decided that I would maybe think about rewatching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the first time in nearly five years. After thinking about it a little more thought, I decided, why not ALL the Disney movies? Okay, not all of them because with online school, play practice, reading, baking, and cooking, I probably don't have time for that. But for those of you who are wondering what films I was thinking of watching or rewatching and writing about on Fanpop, here they are (I might put in links to the articles once I finish them):...

14- Merida

I m not really a fan of her personality in her movie. There are definitely things that i find appealing with her she really does have a badass side , with her arrow , but at the same time there are things about her personality less appealing. I can't say I dislike her or hate her I m just neutral towards her and her movie. Also i m not gonna lied...

Belle yelled in surprise as Phillipe bolted, causing her to go flying through the air and land unceremoniously on her back. She lay there, winded, trying to catch her breath.

She was about to call for Phillipe when she realised he had turned around and cantered away immediately after throwing her off. She didn't know what had provoked such erratic behavior. She usually wasn't the one to ride him, but he was as friendly to her as to her father. He had always been a well-mannered horse. For him to behave in this manner showed there was something very wrong going on. Her father was in trouble.

She...

On the Ninth Day of Princess Walt Disney gave to me

Nine Ships are sailing

seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells

and the wisdom of an old tree.

If you ever want to establish a new international holiday, do it in September. I am serious, there are surprisingly few actual holidays in this month - but a lot of really weird ones. I was kind of tempted to mark "Talk like a Pirate Day" in the calendar for that reason alone, but soon I had two hot contenders. One was Heritage Day which would have most likely...

Thank you to everyone who participated in Princess of the Month! For November we celebrated Belle, so here's an article on why we adore her:

Belle is my favorite princess, so I could wax eloquent concerning all the things I adore about her. In the interest of space, though, here is one thing I particularly love about her: her sense of self-worth. I don't feel like this is often talked about, but it's really inspiring to see her embrace her interests even in the face of constant ostracization from the townspeople. Everyone thinks she's weird and whispers behind her back, but despite this she...
