Okay I noticed a countdown on this club and the results are in my opinion insulting to Disney. I'm not trying to offend anyone, especially the one holding the countdown, but I mean come on, the computed animated films didn't even leave yet. Plus I think people have a different idea of animation than I do because when I think of animation I mostly think about the actual animation itself, not the drawings and consistency, thought that's part of it. But the big part is the colors, the brightness and darkness, the shadowing, and the effects. Now I'm going to separate the computer animated films from the hand drawn animated films because they just don't mix together. They're two completely different styles and it would be like comparing the effects in an animated film to the effects in a live-action film and asking which had better effects. That just doesn't mix because they're two completely different styles. Anyway please comment and keep in mind this is just my opinion and I'm that I'm not trying to insult anybody, I'm just going to be brutally honest. When I first came to fanpop people weren't afraid to be brutally honest, though they were still respectful, so I say we don't be so serious and sensitive. Anyway enjoy!

The Computer Animated Films

3.Tangled
Now I want to say that I do really love the animation in this movie, it's absolutely beautiful. The character designs are great, even though that's not a huge part of the actual animation itself. The colors are really good and the detail in the hair is just phenomenal! The lights are gorgeous and the magic flower and hair glowing are amazing. The background are great too. My problem is the animation on the characters. I don't know, something about their skin looks kind of plastic, especially compared to the other computer animated movies.

2.Brave
This is my least favorite Disney Princess movie but the animation is absolutely gorgeous. I mean the backgrounds are just so realistic and the animals look like real animals, well, except for the little boys. The hair, especially Merida's, are phenomenal! The character designs are cartoony but the actual animation on them is amazing, though it's kind of weird seeing cartoony looking characters have such amazing and realistic animation on them. The wisps are stunning! It's not number one because one is just better.

1.Frozen

You can just tell by the trailers and commercials that this is the best computer animated Disney Princess animation. It has the good qualities that Tangled and Brave's animation had and takes away all the flaws. The character designs are realistic, the back grounds are sensational, the effects are spectacular, and the animation on the characters is amazing. I mean Let It Go was enough to tell how phenomenal the animation is! The detail is great and it looks so realistic. The snow is stunning and the animation grabs you from the very beginning of the movie.

The Hand Drawn Animated Films

9.Sleeping Beauty
I know that a lot of people love this animation but honestly the fact that so many consider this the best Disney Princess animation makes me sick. The animation is absolutely bland and dull. The colors are so dull and don't have that Disney feel because it's so boring looking. The background are detailed but they're too detailed, they look so fake. When you have the characters moving around it just looks out of place because it doesn't look natural like it does with the other films. The character animation looks weird. I mean the characters have realistic designs but it looks weird when they have black eyes and pink skin. Why do they have pink skin? Does no one else notice this? Does it not bother anyone else? Plus they totally messed up the colors on Aurora, she supposed to have golden hair and red lips but instead her lips are colorless and her hair is bleach blonde. Her hair even changes colors, sometimes it's gold like it's supposed to be, most of the time it's bleach blonde, sometimes it's ugly light green, and sometimes even a weird shade of grey. Plus her eyes always change colors: black, blue, purple, brown. MAKE UP YOUR MIND ANIMATORS! The only character who looks right is Maleficent and her minions but that's because they're not human! Plus some things are really cheesy, just as when Maleficent says "No! It cannot be" and transported, that wasn't very impressive. Plus when Phillip waves his sword around he acts like a kid just swinging it around like a monkey instead of a sword fight. It has it's impressive moments like anything involving Maleficent (minus that one part), when Aurora is a painting, and during the Gifts song. If the rest of the movie was like this we'd have a beautiful movie but it's just so bland, dull, and kind of cheesy.

8.Cinderella
Don't get me wrong, the animation is good, for the time period, but it's not as spectacular as everyone says it is. The colors are nice but too bright and old fashioned. The transformation is great but that's about it. Everything else is just nice looking and the fault is mostly the time when the movie was being made. I'm sorry but the films that Walt Disney himself made will never have animation as good as films like the Renaissance era, it's true. I think most people just say how amazing it is because of how it's all hand drawn but the colors aren't as good, the shadow and shading aren't as good, and it doesn't have as many details. I mean in this movie they can't even draw Cinderella's nose completely or give her highlights in her eyes. They couldn't give Charming a character because they didn't have the money in the animation to do it like we do now. The animation in the third movie is FAR superior and has everything this movie lacks. I do respect it but it just doesn't deserve as much praise as it gets.

7.Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
Out of all the animation during Walt Disney's era this is definitely the best. I mean the Magic Mirror and the apple are phenomenal and so beautiful to look at. The detail in the Queen's outfit are sensational! The transformation, though not the best, is great. The effects are great but this film has a problem, the character animation. It's nice looking but they're colors are cartoony and really old fashioned looking. I've already ranted on how the older films can't compare to newer films for obvious reasons so I won't go into it again. Snow White's nose is barely drawn and her eyes a lot of times look creepy, even when they're closed. The animation is spectacular in some ways but in other ways just pretty or nice looking at best. The animation ahead is just better because of the fact that time has developed better animation.

6.Mulan
This movie's animation astounds me with how absolutely beautiful, really bland, and silly it is. Mostly when they do those really comedic scenes is where the silliness is. It sometimes looks bland when scenes aren't as serious. The scenes that are serious the animation is just so beautiful, like Reflection and The Decision. The reflections, the fire, and the water are great. The character animation is good but it's not the best and it kind of drags it down, though sometimes they look great. The climax looks amazing, the animation was just phenomenal! This and Hercules are my two least favorite Disney Renaissance animation, though this is better than Hercules. It's great but kind of a confusing style of animation that changes.

5.Aladdin
This animation also amazes me with how phenomenal and how cartoony it is. I mean when it is serious the animation is just gorgeous with amazing detail. The climax is a perfect example on how incredible the animation is. I mean the shadows, the perfect colors, and the flawless effects is just astounding! However other scenes, mostly ones involving Genie, look really cartoony and silly, like in Friend Like Me and Prince Ali. When you compare the cartoony and silly scenes to the serious animation scenes it's actually pretty jarring. During A Whole New World and you see the water duing the end it's just stunning to look at, especially with the ripples. So while the animation is silly at times the serious animation is just too fantastic.

4.The Little Mermaid
This animation is only slightly better than Aladdin's. I mean the animation is never silly and it was and the effects are just better. I mean when you're underwater you always see the light from the sun or the moon shining on the bottom of the sea and on the castle. It's so stunning to look at because you always see that light underwater. That opening scene when we're underwater and going to Atlantica it's just so gorgeous and you feel like you're really there. All of this is done hand drawn without and special effects like later films have. So why are the classic Disney Princess films animation praised for that but not this one? I mean the colors are far better, it's not silly or cheesy, and the detail is just perfect. I mean when they go into a dark place the characters actually go darker with it, while the classics did that too they made mistakes with making the characters look light. Plus the fact that underwater every single thing has to be moving no matter what. That would really suck if you messed up and had to start all over. The animation on the characters don't look as good as Aladdin's, well at some points, but they don't look silly like the Aladdin ones do sometimes. Plus considering this was in the 80's, when animation wasn't very good, except for the Don Bluth films, this was impressive. The animation was starting to look like Disney again and pwned all of the animation that Bluth had done. The lights are spectacular and the effects are stellar! This animation needs more love and appreciation, unlike some overrated animation I know of.

3.Beauty and The Beast
Yes, I know the characters are inconsistently drawn like The Little Mermaid characters. However you need to keep in mind that they were in a hurry to get the movie done because they had a deadline. But when you focus on the actual animation itself it's gorgeous. The opening to the movie was just truly breath taking! The stain-glass window thing was very unique, though I prefer actually seeing it all happen like in The Enchanted Christmas. The snow is spectacular and so is the fire. They take my breath away! The animation on the characters, not their drawing, are amazing. I mean the detail of Belle's lips and skin is just so realistic. Plus the fact you have talking objects as characters surprisingly looks really natural with this animation. It's so gorgeous that people confuse The Enchanted Christmas' animation for bad animation. However I'll talk about the animation in that movie in my review of The Enchanted Christmas article. I think my problem, besides the inconsistency is the fact the colors a lot of the times is too bright for my taste.

2.Pocahontas
People may not like this movie very much but no one denies that this animation is absolutely GORGEOUS! I mean the colors are just fantastic! Colors of The Wind is truly the most beautiful piece of animation in the movie, I especially love the scene where they're underwater. I especially love the animation on Pocahontas' hair when it's flowing in the wind so naturally. Something that bugs me, like in Mulan and Sleeping Beauty, is that most of the characters have black eyes and considering the character designs are very realistic it's pretty jarring. Plus the fact that Pocahontas' nose is barely drawn bugs me. The animation is absolutely fantastic and that cannot be denied! However there is one Disney Princess film with better animation.

1.The Princess and The Frog

I know it's unpopular opinion but this animation is truly the best Disney Princess animation EVER! The characters look AWESOME! The colors on them isn't too dark or too bright, I'm not meaning that in a racial way by the way, I mean the brightness and darkness. The scenes with magic are just spectacular! It's the best magic in a Disney Princess movie and looks realistic, if magic existed anyway. The water looks gorgeous and the lights are so stunning! The transformation back to human is a total ripoff of Odette's transformation from The Swan Princess but it's still fantastic. It's probably the best Disney animation in general, either this or The Lion King. The designs are realistic, the characters are consistently drawn, the colors are perfect and go with the designs perfectly as well. It's a shame we're not getting more hand drawn animated movies from Disney because clearly they're really good at it. Let's hope they'll make more hand drawn animated movies because that's what started it all with Disney, that and Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

And so Alexandra's journey to find the wand that belonged to the witch began. She left early in the morning and began walking into the forest.

Julia was right, the forest was very dark and Alexandra wanted to just leave that forest very soon, she was terrified and felt as if she was completely lost. She was so confused that she suddenly fell over a huge stone and wounded her knee and her leg, but she kept on running in hope to find somewhere to stay and someone that could take care of her. But suddenly she started to feel dizzy and felt as if she was going to faint at any minute and a few minutes...

Lyrics to If You Can Dream :
(Ariel)
There is a world where hope
And dreams can last for all time
I wonder this place to go
You know it
When your heart will find

(Jasmine)
Hearing our song as old as rhyme
Hold my hand we're gonna fly
While a magic ride
Is just a kiss away

[Chorus]
If you can dream for wishful making
On a star is coming through

(Pocahontas)
The colors of the wind will lead
My heart right back to you

Cos if you can dream,
Reflections in a diamond sky,
Come shining on through

(Aurora)
Romance will always be so new
And love will save the day
If you can dream

(Snow White)
Someday...

Chapter 12

A few days later, Eric and Melody had a brief meeting with the bullies, their parents, and the principal in the hallway. The parents of Harry, Anna, and Joey were shocked that they would display such despicable behavior. The principal gave them a speech of how rude it is to make fun of someone's family members and family history. Harry, Anna, and Joey begrudgingly said sorry and they won't bother Melody anymore. After the meeting, everybody left feeling satisfied. Even though Melody feels safe, she is still afraid that they might bother her again. Rose and Omar told her that they'd...

Adella's POV
I ran down the steps. "I'm gonna be late!" I exclaimed. The ball had already started and I was fully in my dress, tiara and glass shoes.
I bumped into Sir Peter on the way down. "Sorry, sir" I mumbled.
"Quite alright... where are you going?" he asked.
I glanced up at his face "The ball... I'm uh late"
He smiled warmly "I thought a princess is never late everyone else is early".
"Thats not the case today" I answered trying to fix my hair,it had toppled down out of its bun.
"Sir, do I look presentable?" I asked him.

Scene 4- The attic at Stellas house.

Narrator: Hellas life had been miserable ever since then. She had to clean Stellas(and the stepsisters) clothes, feed them, and some other chores. Hella never went 2 school, learned anything but serve the stepmom and stepsisters(who have no life), or made any human friends. But they would go to church(thats where Hella learned all of the bad words), the bingo parlor(4 old people), and even at the mall where Stella would buy pretty clothes for herself and her daughters, while she gives Hella a maids outfit and makes poor Hella buy groceries, cleaning supplies,...

It was a regular looking room with desks. The only thing odd about this room was a little bird house with an owl perched on the perch outside of the house. The kids, including Cindy sat down at desks. A man with a long white beard came into the classroom and said "Hello I'm Mr. History. I will be teaching you about history."

The man started drawing on the chalkboard "Once a long time ago people told each other myths since there wasn't yet the concept of science. One of the stories was Psyche and Eros. This is an earlier basis of which story?" A scantily dressed blond girl raised her hand and...

Author's Note: The basic plot of this story is that all the princesses live in kingdoms surrounding each other, and all the villains band together to start a man-made sort of apocalypse that the princesses and some of the princes/sidekicks have to band together to save their kingdoms. Sort of a twisted fairytale sort of thing, but a bit more light. It's complicated.

Not too many people submitted why they love Maleficent so I apologize for this short article

I love how she's so evil she doesn't hesitate to curse a baby just because she wasn't invited to a party. She's even so petty and evil that when it looks like she might win she creates a wall of thorns and becomes a dragon just so Aurora won't wake up -BB2010

Her character design is great, Eleanor Audley is perfect for the role, she is intimidating yet elegant and has some pretty cool powers (including being able to turn into a dragon). -LMH5113

Her voice is PURE evil! -deedragongirl
