I have seen every disney princess movie known to exist (the sequels are an exception), and during all my time of watching I noticed a couple patterns.
For instance, a princess`s hair color most often tells what kind of person they are:

Brown- the artistic type, who often gets lost in books and has a number of hobbies.
·Belle
·Repunzel

Blonde- with Elsa and Repunzel as the only exceptions, these princesses are an icon of beauty and nothing else. Their only goal in life is to marry Prince charming and are the reason more feminist icons, like Merida from Brave need to be created.
·Cinderella
·Aurora

Dark brown/black- with Snow White as the only exception, these are powerful, rebellious women with intent on protecting not only their true love but more their family. They would even sacrifice their love for the protection of their family. They are hard workers and would stop at nothing to finish what they started.
·Pocahontas
·Jasmine
·Tiana
·Mulan

Red- They are rebellious, adventurous, but still have hint, if not a lot of quirkiness to them. They are interesting characters and a ton of fun.
·Merida
·Ariel

However, whatever color you have there are always cliches.

#1: Orphans. This cliche is not just referring to the main character, in every story there will be that one guy that either has no backstory, or they do and it`s a tragic one.

#2: Magic! Now don't get me wrong, that stuff is awesome. Although for Disney it has been severely overused. It seems to me like the writers were too lazy to make an actual solution to the hero`s conflict. "Oh, I know how to solve this problem--POOF!"

#3: True wuvs kiss......nomnomnom. Yeah... only the movies like Mulan and Pocahontas have never had the kissing scene. I think we can skip over this one but seriously, you princesses need to Slowwww down. Geez.

#4: The animal companion. Yes, little children prefer puppies over babies and you animators know that. Honestly though, every movie animals have been there. I would be less exasperated if you took the time to not make them all have the same personality.

#5: Evil has no backstory--`tis a fact my good sir, of course we never actually took time to talk to the guy.... . Yup. Every villain is pretty much evil because ...they're evil. I think the story would be nicer if you explains where in heck the antagonist came from.

#6: Princesses have no flaws. Yes, the Beauty and the Beast said that Belle was strange, but the story makes it seem like she is in fact, flawless. Apparently it is against Disney way to make the protagonist more of a human and less of a... uh ... princess. I think I just answered my own question there.

#7: Where did the dragons go? It`s hard to believe but barely any Disney princess stories have dragons. (Score one for Shrek) I still don`t know why-- Hold on, I have just been told that Maleficent and Mushu definitely are dragons. Well....I stand corrected.... still, there is a definite lack of dragons, and having the dragons not eat people is a travesty! >: )

#8: The male counterparts (princes) are either stupid or lack substance. There is also the stereotype that men are liars (Aladdin) and women are jealous (the ugly stepsisters) continues to spread throughout each movie.

#9:Talking Animal Sidekick= only entertaining character. This is true for everything; characters like Mushu and Eago are the best form of comic relief-- and the only good type may I add. Yes, Maximus and Pascel were awesome, but come on, if they could speak and were voice acted by a well-known actors the movie would`'ve been hilarious.

#10: A group of talking sidekicks= evil twins!
·Timon and Pumba (The Lion King)
·Pain and Panic (Hercules)
·Gargoyles (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Do these sound familiar? Each of these have the same personalities.

That`s it. I actually did this for research for a movie I`d like to make for my college portfolio. It is supposed to make fun of the cliches in disney movies. I hope you liked this.

Moo.

Merida really needed an eye-opener. If she let her sensitivity get in the way of everything else again, she could've potentially kissed her friendships with Pocahontas and Mulan goodbye. Incidentally, Shang would probably still despise her. Truth be told, her mother, Elanor, was right. She WAS more sensitive than she realized. The young archer was glad she was being taught how to corner her wild emotion. She wrote down everything Pocahontas told her.

"Every time we realize what's bothering us after cornering it, we come up with positive solutions." Pocahontas taught. Merida wrote everything...

Afew days later, Mulan finally managed to mail the letters to Pocahontas and Merida. She had been busy with Ping and making sure Shang was treated right when he got home from his duties. "You don't have to do this!" Shang politely said as Mulan gave him a massage. "As a loving wife, I want you to feel relaxed when you come home." Mulan replied lovingly. "Did you mail those letters?" Shang asked. "I did." Mulan answered. "You have to promise me you'll be patient with Merida!" she pleaded. "Mulan, I don't even like the girl!" Shang said.

"I'm asking you to give her a chance!" Mulan replied. Shang...

Chapter seven

When Ariel and Andrina came home, the family tuned up their ears on Ariel's story. Ariel glowed as she told them her tale. She made sure to skip a few events that mentioned anything happening between her and Eric such as how warm and soft his hand felt when they shook hands. When she came to the part about the job offer, her sisters felt happy for her,but her father raised an eyebrow, and Flounder frowned.

"Wow! That's great, Ariel!" said Arista. The other sisters nodded in agreement.

"Thanks," Ariel smiled. Nobody noticed Flounder looking down at the ground with his arms crossed....
