I have seen every disney princess movie known to exist (the sequels are an exception), and during all my time of watching I noticed a couple patterns.
For instance, a princess`s hair color most often tells what kind of person they are:

Brown- the artistic type, who often gets lost in books and has a number of hobbies.
·Belle
·Repunzel

Blonde- with Elsa and Repunzel as the only exceptions, these princesses are an icon of beauty and nothing else. Their only goal in life is to marry Prince charming and are the reason more feminist icons, like Merida from Brave need to be created.
·Cinderella
·Aurora

Dark brown/black- with Snow White as the only exception, these are powerful, rebellious women with intent on protecting not only their true love but more their family. They would even sacrifice their love for the protection of their family. They are hard workers and would stop at nothing to finish what they started.
·Pocahontas
·Jasmine
·Tiana
·Mulan

Red- They are rebellious, adventurous, but still have hint, if not a lot of quirkiness to them. They are interesting characters and a ton of fun.
·Merida
·Ariel

However, whatever color you have there are always cliches.

#1: Orphans. This cliche is not just referring to the main character, in every story there will be that one guy that either has no backstory, or they do and it`s a tragic one.

#2: Magic! Now don't get me wrong, that stuff is awesome. Although for Disney it has been severely overused. It seems to me like the writers were too lazy to make an actual solution to the hero`s conflict. "Oh, I know how to solve this problem--POOF!"

#3: True wuvs kiss......nomnomnom. Yeah... only the movies like Mulan and Pocahontas have never had the kissing scene. I think we can skip over this one but seriously, you princesses need to Slowwww down. Geez.

#4: The animal companion. Yes, little children prefer puppies over babies and you animators know that. Honestly though, every movie animals have been there. I would be less exasperated if you took the time to not make them all have the same personality.

#5: Evil has no backstory--`tis a fact my good sir, of course we never actually took time to talk to the guy.... . Yup. Every villain is pretty much evil because ...they're evil. I think the story would be nicer if you explains where in heck the antagonist came from.

#6: Princesses have no flaws. Yes, the Beauty and the Beast said that Belle was strange, but the story makes it seem like she is in fact, flawless. Apparently it is against Disney way to make the protagonist more of a human and less of a... uh ... princess. I think I just answered my own question there.

#7: Where did the dragons go? It`s hard to believe but barely any Disney princess stories have dragons. (Score one for Shrek) I still don`t know why-- Hold on, I have just been told that Maleficent and Mushu definitely are dragons. Well....I stand corrected.... still, there is a definite lack of dragons, and having the dragons not eat people is a travesty! >: )

#8: The male counterparts (princes) are either stupid or lack substance. There is also the stereotype that men are liars (Aladdin) and women are jealous (the ugly stepsisters) continues to spread throughout each movie.

#9:Talking Animal Sidekick= only entertaining character. This is true for everything; characters like Mushu and Eago are the best form of comic relief-- and the only good type may I add. Yes, Maximus and Pascel were awesome, but come on, if they could speak and were voice acted by a well-known actors the movie would`'ve been hilarious.

#10: A group of talking sidekicks= evil twins!
·Timon and Pumba (The Lion King)
·Pain and Panic (Hercules)
·Gargoyles (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Do these sound familiar? Each of these have the same personalities.

That`s it. I actually did this for research for a movie I`d like to make for my college portfolio. It is supposed to make fun of the cliches in disney movies. I hope you liked this.

Moo.

A rant on Cinderella, star of the Disney Princess franchise.

Obviously, as many would know, Cinderella is easily the most popular princess on a global scale. But why? Here are some reasons. Her story is one of, it not the most well known fairytale of all time. Though she is beautiful, her features are rather typical. This means she can be used to represent all the princesses. Her movie was a massive hit that started a cycle of successful films(Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan). Not to mention, her iconic dress and glass slipper. And finally, her movie is the favorite of Walt Disney himself....

Snow White-Winona Ryder

Cinderella-Elizabeth Banks

Aurora-Reese Witherspoon

Ariel-Alyssa Milano

Belle-Rachel Weisz

Jasmine-Aishwayra Rai

Pocahontas-Moon Bloodgood

Mulan-Lucy Liu

Tiana-Anika Noni Rose

Rapunzel-Cameron Diaz
In the Disney Franchise, Cinderella's ballgown is blue, but that was not always true (hey that rhymes).
In the 1950 film, when Cinderella got transformed into her gown, it was white. When she looked at her reflection in the fountain, it was blue. When they needed products for this movie, some people thought the white gown looked too much like a wedding dress, so they watched the whole movie over and over again until they came up with something. They saw Cindy's reflection in the fountain, and thought that was a good color, thus, Cinderella's dress is now considered blue.
I'll just get right to the point.

The Flag:
The flag shown on the ship was not used until at least 100 years after the time the film is set.

.____. I knew something was fishy about that flag....

Poca's hair:
ahh, her hair... Lovely isn't it? How it luciously blows in the wind.... But... Isn't it strange how WELL it blows? I mean... My hair is now almost that legnth, and even when the wind is high, it never gets so much as past my back...
So either that is some pretty WICKED wind, or she has some LIGHT hair... Maybe both.

But, if the wind WERE that crazy, then why doesn't it blow the crap...

The hill was so wonderful that Rose Red felt sad over leaving them, but she was ready to see the castle.

The castle was so big and beautiful and was located close to the sea and was high up the mountains.

They went inside and after a while Rose Red discoverd a mirror and asked her mother about the mirror because she thought that she saw a face in it.
"It's a magic mirror, you can ask anything and it will you the answer, but when I lived here there I lived with my stepmother and she used the mirror to ask who the fairest one of all was and usually it said that she was, but one day it said that...

My next Interview is with the Characters from Disney’s Pocahontas. Pocahontas requested the interview be held at Grandmother Willows tree (something about her being able to make everyone understand each other) and I consented, as long as the critters leave us alone. Kocoums spirit is also going to join us for a moment, but John Rolfe is busy in London and could not come. Radcliffe was also banned from this interview. John Smith is coming with his friend Thomas and Pocahontas is bringing Nakoma. I am hoping for another calm interview, but we shall see.

(When I arrive Pocahontas and Nakoma...

When you feel like you're ready to go
Somewhere you've never been
Make a wish and the dream in you grows
Shinning as bright as day
Carrying you far away

The story begins with the light in your heart
A fantasy, a dream and a spark
Once you believe you are ready to shine

Look around take in all that you see
You just might be surprised
A world of enchantment and pure majesty
You'll be discovering
The princess that you're meant to be

A fantasy, a dream and a spark
Once you believe you are ready to shine
Bright as the world's ever known
You are the glow

Feel your strength, you can face the world
Believe every day, everything is possible
A magical journey awaits

The story begins with the light in your heart
A fantasy, a dream and a spark
Once you believe you are ready to shine
The princess inside you will show
You are the glow, you are the glow
Whoa, you are the glow.

10. Snow White and the Prince
Their kiss, for me, was a bit dull, boring and quick. It lacked emotion and passion but it is still a classic kiss.

9. Cinderella and Prince Charming
The end kiss was CLASSIC but it was boring and lacked emotion but it was still a beautiful ending to a beautiful story!

8. Sorry if I'm bashing out at the classic princesses! Aurora's kiss had a drop of intensity in it and I love how she brightens up after the kiss! It is truly a CLASSIC kiss!

Here's the first article for the Best Disney Princess sidekick countdown. It covers the places from 41 to 50. Enjoy!
[I'm clearly copying BelleAnastasia article style, but I hope she will forgive me and you will pretend that's not happening =) . Again, I'm brazilian, so forgive/notice me about grammar mistakes]

50. Mama Odie
I didn't completely understand why this "girl" was the first one to leave. She doesn't bother me (even if I disliked her, her appearence is a little fast). Maybe that's the problem... During all her screentime she's trying to explain things to Naveen and Tiana, and by...

Hi guys, this third time I'm writing to you and I'm not sure whether this has already been written, and I thought that I would like to voice out my opinions about the princess ending in their movies.

10) Snow White
I felt that the ending was to short and we could have seen more about Snow White's wedding. Also, the prince should get to more about Snow White.

9) Tiana
Despite watching the movie ages ago, I am still able to recall how it ends. The ending was really amazing despite that I have to put it to number 9! But even that, I still love it.

8) Princess Jasmine
The ending should had been Jasmine's...

10 Snow White

Snow White is pretty. Although she is referred as a young woman with skin as white as the snow, lips as red as a rose and hair as dark as a raven I don’t find her that beautiful. I don’t like her hair, the shape of her face and her nose.

9 Rapunzel

Rapunzel has beautiful hair, I love both her long- blonde and short- brown hair. She has lovely eyes- color but her eyes are too big. The problem with Rapunzel is that she is 3D princess and her features seem weird to me. I’d prefer her as 2D, she would be more beautiful. Now she’s just cute and pretty.

Chapter 1

"Melody, wake up," said Eric as he patted his five-year-old daughter on the arm.

"Five more minutes, Daddy," Melody yawned.

"But Melody today is your first day at your new school. If you don't get up, you'll be late," Eric responded.

"I don't want to go to school today!" said Melody.

"Melody, get out of bed right now or I'll spank you," Eric firmly stated.

Melody's eyes went wide and quickly got out of bed. Eric left while she got dressed. She took her pink pajamas off and tossed them on her bed. Then, Melody slowly put her on her outfit on. She dressed slowly since she did not want to...

I am Princess Adella and this is my story

"The ball is coming up and you must look fantastic" my aunt said as I was standing up on a tall stool watching the maids get my measurements. "Why is this different from any other ball I've attended?" I asked. "Because, Prince Risstan will be there" she answered.

Prince Risstan, the one my aunt and uncle wanted me to marry. I would have to obey them, they are my guardians. Prince Risstan was a vain, proud...

Chapter One—Letter of Love

Many young maidens dream to get married and to find their true loves. One young maiden in particular was very happy upon fining such a true love. She was a chubby, short lady with a red bow on her short black hair, and constantly adorned an adorable smile. Her name was Snow White, and she grinned happily while she was riding her prince’s horse toward her castle.
As the two of them approached the Prince’s castle, the two of them happily kissed. Joyfully thinking about her marriage while she ended her kiss with her...

My butt slammed hard onto a plate filled with Mediterranean salad, which Gaston was about to eat. The table shook under my weight, but it was still stable.
I looked incredulously at Gaston, who was smiling. "Hello, Angel. Fall down from Heaven?"
I was about to answer, when I heard shouts. All around me, the Disney characters looked hostile towards me.
"Who the heck are you?" demanded Minnie Mouse.
Only an idiot would tell a complete stranger their name.
Suddenly, the two guards who had found me pushed their way through the crowd.
"There you are...now put your hands up and we won't hurt you."...

"Hello, beautiful," it greeted in a British accent.

"Oh, don't fuss, love. Anything's possible." The driver door opened automatically.
I climbed inside and put my hands on the wheel. "This is sooo much better than my pickup truck."
The car made a disgusted sound. "Pickup trucks. Disgusting things. It should've been a crime to invent them."
"By the way, what's your name?" I asked as I started the car.
"You may call me Car. Simple." He sounded smug.

He glared at me through his glasses. "You're late."
"By one minute!" I groaned.
He flipped through the pages quickly. "Listen, Jeannette, I--"

Hey everybody, so I was watching Pocahontas this morning and I thought it was amazing as usual, but everytime I see it I can´t help myself from thinking about the sequel (which I know some people say is more historicaly accurate, but who cares about that? I mean, it's Diney). No disrespect for those who do like the sequel. I'm not saying it's altogether bad, but the whole thing just seems a bit unnatural and rushed to me, considering the events of the first film. I'm just not feeling the chemistry between Rolfe and Pocahontas. Anyway, I came up with my own ending, for the sake of fun, and...
